@@silviopaolo7282 idk i'm enjoying seeing cracked decks thrive, maybe buff the pulls but ban more often so they get to full power faster but dont overstay

I really appreciate how much good content Doug puts out. He's such a great player and knows so much about the game, I'm always entertained hearing his thought process going through plays.
When I was a little kid playing playground YGO, I thought Sword Hunter was actually a pretty incredible long-term boss monster... because as I destroyed monsters with him, I'd put them under him like XYZ materials... I thought that was how he worked. My friends and I played him like that for months before we realized he was supposed to clog up your s/t zones for garbage atk boosts... and I immediately stopped using him.
I’ve loved the incremental improvements and changes being made to these powerful decks. The decks may look familiar yet it feels fresh as each game plays out differently between the decks as each person tries to play optimally through interactions on the board
Gage's Six Sam pulls were actually pretty good and snagging Eva during those pulls really helped his Herald deck. He could kick some booty when he decides to pull that deck out. Thank goodness there isn't a Runick pack for Farfa to pair with his Fur Hires. Seen Coder run that deck and it's nasty and would be a menace in this format.
His Samurai deck was okay, but testing in stream showed it had almost no way to consistently go beyond Battle Shogun and 1 extra monster. If he gets the Pack again tho, oh its over.
@@Endershock1678 the problem with six samurai is, if you want to play it, you need a pretty huge chunk of the engine. You need the 3 Kizan, Mizuho and shinai access. But most importently you need ways to stack Bushido Counters.
Gage has opened both of my favorite archetypes this season. lol Glad that he actually went for it this time. Not that I really expect anyone to actually open ice barrier besides for a craft of one of the synchros.
Pitknight Earlie is so flexible. You normally summon it co-linked to something(usually Spright Elf and sometimes I:P) and often the other arrow points to something with a Quick Effect. Its revive effect lets it combo with Promethean Princess. It can close games by pointing to a negate in a transverser zone. Since it shrinks the monster it can be used as proactive removal on your turn. In a simplified gamestate Earlie revives itself and has decent attack. Just a great card all around. Many ways to leverage it into advantage
I've also used it in salad pointing up to the emz pointing at a Heatsoul which is an easy negate pretty much whenever, it's also solid to pop with princess in grave since it'll come back and I can summon it wherever I'm gonna activate a monster effect to trigger it again on my turn. It was cute, but not the best thing to do with my allotted 15 ED slots lbs
@@salvadorcardenas9317 Never really used it for the negate, honestly I just used the guy for the Atk drop to OTK with Chimera. Fun combo, unfortunatly same stuff gets done with just two Heatleo
I absolutely love watching Gage play Herald. That was one of the first decks I bought when I started taking the game slightly more seriously in 2017. Very nostalgic for me.
God, im sorry, but Gage saw him add shipyard. The worst part is that the orange light would have been really good against either of his searches being whitebeard or blackeyes.
1:25:00 Earlie very good on my masochist account. I would often do turn 1 Earlie pass, pointing in the middle zone and people would play into it. It just works. Also, if it gets destroyed it comes back in the end phase. So there's followup next turn I would summon any monster with an ignition on its arrow, and trigger again. There was this guy that had him "Earlie'd" every turn for 3 consecutive turns. Its hilarious.
For Gage's information, and anyone else who doesn't know, the last card in a 10 pack bundle will always be a holo. And it you get the guaranteed UR from not pulling one from a previous bundle, that last card will be the UR.
1:19:00 I love the fact that Doug seem to miss the concept of 'parasitic' entirely. Also if you look closer, all of the Impcantations seem to be composed of 2 entities where one is miserable and the other is excited (i.e. Penciplume - the feather and the tip, Bookstone - the book and the medalion etc...)
I like the idea of more banlists, but with the caveat that the losing player gets to unban and unlimit a card at least 1 other player has pulled(even if they've never used it at all). And yes, I'm also advocating for all pulls besides the most recent episode's to be tracked continuously by everyone. Including the viewers. A spreadsheet for that or something would be neat.

Doug is so much into the can't read meme he managed to come up with the funniest reason to why he doesn't read card. "I already think I know this card" I'm so using this next time.

People complaining about the decks this season is weird to me. I’m not the biggest fan of the Herald deck, but I super respect how Gage was able to recycle the banner deck and somehow make it stronger. And the actual duels have been REALLY good! I like this current format a lot. Another ban episode would move the series faster and could be interesting but I don’t see it as a necessity
I always keep my xyz materials vertical and poking out the side so that I can remember what’s under, even if I put my xyz monster in defense position. I just think it’s easier to detach and put in grave that way if the materials are already vertical.
I have an idea regarding the banlists that involves another wheel/dice. After every episode loser chooses a number 1-6. The others have to choose a number too but it can be the same as the losers. Then spin a wheel/roll a dice and if it lands then you'll add to the banlist. There is at least 1/6 chance of a ban, with 1/3 and 1/2 being the other 2 outcomes. That on average will make banlists more frequent but the unpredictability will stop people not playing lists prebanlist like farfa with plunder this season. In short more banlists, more wheels, more randomness! Imagine back to back 1/6 chance bans during an age of gage💀
Season 6 should have a banlist EP every 3 episodes. And have players open 10 standard packs, 10 secret packs, and 10 more secret packs of a different pack
They should make more field spells like Nightmare Throne. Where the field spell doesn’t mention anything important from the archetype to make it searchable. Meaning you can only get it by drawing it, or using demise of land and metaverse.

to answer the pack coloring thing, it tells you what it means if you look at the info button, if a pack is normal color it has a chance at SR's but low chance, if its a SR pack it has a high chance at SR and a low chance at UR, if its a UR pack it has at least 1 SR or higher in it.
the only exception to this rule is the last pack of the 10 which always has 1 sr or higher from inside the pack no matter what, and could have more if its SR or UR following the same rules above.

I get the feeling the candle and flame in impcantation is a single entity in that the flame are the inner thoughts of the candle made manifest. Or that the flame is how the candle expresses itself, but because of that it hurts like hell. At least assuming the candle even feels pain. Though that's just me.
I think the decks are fine. Farfa has been playing great finally while also not completely unbeatable. And gages deck is way different from its shino days. The Dzeef is just crazy this season.
Instead of more frequent regular bans, what about after every episode, each player picks a number of cards that all get their max number allowed reduced by one, so one person could get a card banned by repeatedly declaring it for three episodes in a row, or two episodes if two people declare it one episode and one in another. That way decks can start to be addressed early, but not immediately taken out.
Do a vote after each episode, majority rules which card is removed, and that way two players are agreeing to on what the problem cards are. One card per episode to prevent huge swings in the metal game but also not dread another two or three weeks of a totally dominant deck
Not sure what happened with the random black screens this episode, sorry about that! It'll be fixed for next episode
