"Charting the rise of the 1990's Chicago Bulls, led by Michael Jordan, one of the most notable dynasties in sports history." Does this documentary really do this? There are (very) occasional glimpses of what made the Bulls dominate for so long, but this document ultimately fails to focus and falls short of showing anything substantial about the way the Bulls went about their basketball which made them a cut above the rest. You don't win 6 chips in a decade by training harder, playing harder and wanting it more than everyone else. Execution is the key and where the Bulls excelled - this is never touched on. Rather, they focus on the scandals, the Jordan stereo types that have been reported ad nauseum, famous games and other sensationalist story lines all while backing it up by some cocky self serving commentary from Jordan himself. First two episodes were fantastic, from there on it's been downhill.

Big Barkley fan and I agree with him on that 93 Bulls team being better than 97. Most of Jordan’s contemporaries were still in their prime in the early 90’s. After 2 expansion teams added, more legends retired, the league wasn’t as good especially in the East in 97
It’s funny how they want Michael to be out there on the front social lines but what about us? We can do things but we don’t. We sit back and let the world burn.
I think the 90s athletes specifically avoided political issues. They were children of the 70s and 80s who supposedly laid the groundwork for the next generation to exist 'without racism' When craig hodges made a political statement, we were quickly notified that post racial America didnt exist. If for no other reason Im proud of Dwade, Lebron, Kaep and others for reminding ownership that if you're going to milk me for talent or love my abilities.. Dont allow society to treat our children like trash.
I think Chucks point was that it was not a common thing. And he was right, 90% of players didn't talk about social issues, politics or any other thin lines.
Charles is absolutely right. Reinsdorf said it was suicidal to resign everyone in the last episode of the documentary. But why? Why not try for the 4 peat? Like even if they are aging, they still would have been a good team and contender still '99. It was certainly possible, they had bird rights on everyone. The only reason you allow the GM to announce they aren't resigning Phil no matter what a year early is because you don't wanna pay anyone after the '98 season. Also agree with the first three peat Bulls being better. Everyone seems to think the second three peat Bulls were better than the first 3 peat because they had better regular season records, but the league was diluted then cause of the expansion and just an odd era where there was less up and coming talents. There were no real up and coming superstars going into their primes in the late 90s other than maybe Shaq, but even he didn't really reach his prime until the very late 90s. The early first three peat Bulls, Michael was clearly statistically better and more athletic than the second three peat. Same with Scottie.
Yes Jerry Reinsdorf is more responsible for breaking up the dynasty than GM Jerry Krause. Only because his comments on organizations not players win championships quote was blown out of proportion because people are usually so damn sensitive. Reinsdorf WAS THE ONE who wanted to mash up the team but Krause wanted Phil gone. MJ had shown loyalty to his coach. The media targeted Krause more than Reinsdorf. Shaame on Jerry Reinsdorf for dismantling the bulls should have waited till they lost or move a few pieces not the coach. He also didn't help Pippen get a better contract. Hopefully the documentary puts to bed any precious outstanding questions about that 1998 season.

Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Carl Malone, John Stockton, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, were great players, but Michael JORDAN was Greater, the G.O.A.T 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Gambling is allowed by all professional sports. Sports gambling isn't allowed. Pete Rose was banned for gambling on baseball while still performing as an active member of MLB. He wouldn't have gotten in trouble for playing slots, playing poker, or gambling or horses.

4:00 Uhhh AIDS, Charles? I’d say that was a pretty important political statement Magic Johnson made. Maybe one of the biggest sociopolitical statements of all time....
The '93 Suns were amazing. As a team, they compare favorably to the 2018 Warriors: 1993 Suns (Record: 62-20, #1 in NBA) PTS/G: 113.4 (1st) Opp PTS/G: 106.7 (18th) SRS: 6.27 (3rd) Pace: 99.8 (4th) Off Rtg: 113.3 (1st) Def Rtg: 106.7 (9th) 2018 Warriors (Record: 58-24, #3 in NBA) PTS/G: 113.5 (1st) Opp PTS/G: 107.5 (18th) SRS: 5.79 (3rd) Pace: 99.6 (5th) Off Rtg: 113.6 (3rd) Def Rtg: 107.7 (11th) As you can see, the '93 Suns (relative to their competition as noted by rankings) were either as good or better than the 2018 Warriors in every category. Even if you take the stats in raw form, out of context and not in terms of ranking relative to the competition, you see Suns allowed fewer PPG, had a better SRS score, higher pace, better Defensive Rating, and a better record. Their point differential was greater, and the differential of their Offensive Rtg to Defensive Rtg was greater. Of course, the 2018 Warriors have more names, but as a team, the '93 Suns were equally productive on the court. The 2004 Pistons have no Hall of Famers for example, but as a team, they were extremely productive and were great. Besides, some of those Suns players, like Kevin Johnson and Tom Chambers, would be Hall of Famers had Jordan not prevented them from winning the Championship.

Kareem Abdul jabbar didnt make political statements???
The media ignores him so much, I wonder did he send them all a fux u text by mistake?
It's seriously very odd the amount of disrespect nba media, fans, players show him after all he has done for the sport. They say sky hook and move on.
@@Kruppt808 people disrespect big men period. They cant relate to being 7 feet tall so they sweep them under the rug.
@@BennyNegroFromQueens true. Shaq was just bigger than everyone. Wilt was playing against 5ft 7 guys......
Charles is not perfect we know this. However he takes full advantage of his platform that makes him polarizing. I like that he is not afraid to be wrong. It's his opinion nothing else.
Michael, Michael, Michael
It's how you know about who works well with whom.
If people don't like me, I'm still going to hope they figure whatever out.
Because you could think the Earth is flat, but I'm not going to be like, "YOU ARE GOING PLACES WITH YOUR BELIEFS."
I just don't understand the reason ppl care about Jordan gambling. No evidence it ever contributed to anything negative, its his money and totally legal. No one's business in my opinion but his
"I don't go on the air every day saying I'm going to bash this guy or this guy..." And then there's JAVALE MCGEE
I'm letting it go Chuck Shaq
I think chuck might be as important to NBA as MJ. Chuck’s personality is as great as MJs game.
Like half the NBA lives in Vegas or spend time in the off season there
'93 bulls vs '96 bulls = '96 Bulls win... sorry Charles Barkley both teams would beat the Phoenix Suns
Did Colin just endorse Joe Biden?
Larrry bird, magic, Tom Brady, wait Brady’s way older, huh, lol?
Joe Marinaro he meant younger ahha
I know but still funny.
this is just turrible.....
Chuck is a legend. his point on Magic, Larry Mailman, and himself never making political statements during that time.
Charles Barkley, Reggie Miller, Carl Malone, John Stockton, Gary Payton, Shawn Kemp, were great players, but Michael JORDAN was Greater, the G.O.A.T 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
Kareem was political
wrong chuck ...... if hes your brother you DONT critizise him in Public.! Mike is right dropping him
Even boys enjoy me coaching/encouraging them... o_O
What is HAPPENING?!
Dak Prescott also needs to go. No team will pay him this kind of money having not been in a super bowl or even close!
They can give their‘honest opinions’ but it doesn’t make them true. Unless Charles Barkley thinks of himself as Jordan’s yes-man.
Why is gaming allowed in The NBA and not allowed in professional baseball?
Gambling is allowed by all professional sports. Sports gambling isn't allowed. Pete Rose was banned for gambling on baseball while still performing as an active member of MLB. He wouldn't have gotten in trouble for playing slots, playing poker, or gambling or horses.
he gonna bring tiger woods name again probably.
Tiger woods cheated on his wife with dozens, possibly hundreds of women. Yet people still celebrate this scumbag
Eric Mendenhall and still lives a better life than you
Why don't males like my idea of "I'll compete to put whoever in jail."
Glad Charles said something. The owner could have dead everything between the GM an he players. He has final say so. Leads to believe he had the same thoughts and feelings as he Gm but let the GM be the face of it all
Arron Rodgers is overpaid and is a burden to the Packers at this point. They need to start over. He's not Tom Brady with 7 rings and needs to go!
4:00 Uhhh AIDS, Charles? I’d say that was a pretty important political statement Magic Johnson made. Maybe one of the biggest sociopolitical statements of all time....
The '93 Suns were amazing. As a team, they compare favorably to the 2018 Warriors:
1993 Suns (Record: 62-20, #1 in NBA)
PTS/G: 113.4 (1st)
Opp PTS/G: 106.7 (18th)
SRS: 6.27 (3rd)
Pace: 99.8 (4th)
Off Rtg: 113.3 (1st)
Def Rtg: 106.7 (9th)
2018 Warriors (Record: 58-24, #3 in NBA)
PTS/G: 113.5 (1st)
Opp PTS/G: 107.5 (18th)
SRS: 5.79 (3rd)
Pace: 99.6 (5th)
Off Rtg: 113.6 (3rd)
Def Rtg: 107.7 (11th)
As you can see, the '93 Suns (relative to their competition as noted by rankings) were either as good or better than the 2018 Warriors in every category.
Triple single....
Being a human in general is stressful there’s injustices everywhere for every person black people just have an easy excuse
Charles is an African American?
Nope, American
Barkley says he speak up for the black community.. A bunch of lies..
It is funny how barkely is saying that athletes shouldn't be political but I remember him saying Muhammad Ali was his hero hey barkely you do know Muhammad Ali was political right barkely is full of it.
Jakendrick Williams he only said people shouldn’t be forced to be political if they don’t want to.
@@pius_11 these athletes have a platform but they don't use it for anything good the only thing they care about is there brands there are people out here who can't speak for themselves they should use there platform to speak for the voiceless.
It sounds like sour grapes from someone who never won a championship.
charles is turrrrible
How can you not like trump?
People are idiots that’s how, I’ve asked lots of people and they can’t even articulate their reasons
A T well I’m voting for him this fall.
5:46 Correct, stick to sports
The MJ propaganda is a bit much now
It's always been alot with Nike backing him. Now no sports and a fairytale romantic doc series....... everyone can count how much they all like mike.
He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me!
Geez, Colin and this radio show are really SJW now.
