Sandy - I have been watching you for years and you are a lovely genuine person. I used to do home parties for many years (PartyLite) and I was extremely successful, and I had many wonderful customers and hosts. But every once in a while, I encountered a woman who was determined to take me down for whatever reason. It was absolutely crushing when it happened, and hard to deal with their venom. There is a saying in sales that does help: “don’t let anybody deflate your state”. I owe you a huge debt of gratitude as you have helped me get through some of the darkest times of my life. I lost my husband prematurely to cancer five years ago, and then pandemic hit, and some evenings, the only voice I heard was yours. So keep doing what you do and live your best life. ❤
I think when someone is critical of you or your lifestyle or your family, it is often because they are unhappy with their own life, and perhaps even jealous of yours. It makes you wonder why they watch your videos if they dislike them so much….bizarre! Your comment reminds me of Dharma on “Dharma and Greg”. I’ve always admired her way of interacting with people who were spewing negativity about others. Unfortunately bashing is the downside of social media. They are cowards and wouldn’t say it to their faces. Ignore it as I said yesterday they are jealous and they must have really unhappy lives to find this as a way to fulfil themselves. Very sad. The mentality that anyone is “entitled” to rag on other people is mind blowing. If you don’t like my house, my free online content, my personality, find something else to do with your time. I have a very specific personality and I don’t filter myself. My days are filled with my job, my home, my pets and my partner and I have zero free time and zero desire to make someone feel “less than” because they’re different than I am. Online bullying is alive and well and not restricted to school aged kids. I will always stand up for my podcast friends against this type of behaviour.

I raised a beautiful kind daughter who was bullied throughout school because these girls were jealous of her. I can’t imagine anyone being negative about your cooking! You cook beautiful meals and are a baking expert! You plan so many meals and baking for the holidays. Maybe people are jealous? But they can get a book from the library and learn to cook also!

There are always people who feel the need to bash others. It’s perfectly legitimate to have differing opinions from others and have different tastes, but it’s NEVER ok to personally attack others. I heard it said recently that often the things that annoy you about someone else is a reflection of what you yourself feel is lacking in your own life…what you wish you had. You keep doing you. You work hard and deserve all you have. Maybe the haters need to invest the time they take to bash others in working just as hard as you do…

Love that garland! Sounds like a great idea on how to display them. I'm finding social media is so negative these days. It puts me in a bad mood. I'm 49 too and I don't have the patience for it. I want to see the positive side of social media again.
Haters will hate -- don't let them change you, Sandy. You are great, you keep being the great mother, wife, business owner, and RUclipsr you are! Do not waste your energy on a Hater. Haters hate because of jealousy, envy, insecurity, loneliness, fear, and the possibility that you remind them of something broken or missing in themselves. For a hater, every nasty comment is just their way of saying "Hey, I am here! Watch me HATE! It is not within me to contribute in a positive way right now." Whatever they hate about you, I bet they hate it within themselves twice over. I feel sorry for the haters, their lives must be a misery.

Wow Sandy I am so sorry that there are people out there (women) who act this way. I’m 62 years old and I can not wrap my head around what has happened to kindness? Where did it go? Respect? I raised a beautiful kind daughter who was bullied throughout school because these girls were jealous of her. That’s all it ever is so hold your head high and know that for every mean girl out there you have the admiration and support of ten times that. I really do believe in karma. And so when the kindest of us are wounded, we all are wounded a little too. My hope and prayer for people is that they are able to detect their own flaws and that amends are made.
