Decided to check out what was reported to be a sinkhole near the Nancy Lopez golf course. The small hole is in the street and a repair crew is already filling in it.
@@kjisnot every "sinkhole" like this one I've ever seen was a leaking pipe. "Real" sinkholes usually start deep down from eroding limestone. The entirety of Florida is on limestone (coral, millions of years ago), and erodes very easily. IMHO, the videographer is correct: Erosion near the surface caused by a break, probably in the storm drain.
If you are talking about the one in Springdale from last Thursday, it definitely is a sinkhole! Personally involved.

Most of the alleged sink holes are caused by broken pipes.
