just put a bunch of shield generators from the shield mod and no more weakpoint but if the shield go down well its open season for side engine bays with this ship XD

He means that there aren't any conveyor pipes, connecting everything together like engines with reactors and such. In survival mode, ships don't function without this, since, obviously engines don't have power and such.
i fond a name for the "ships gone wild" they are corvettes, because that is the smallest class of ship that can be classified as a warship. other then that i thought we could call them Hercules class ships.
I know a system you could have for a escape pod for resources it attaches at the very start of the ship so when you were attacked man 1 person then warp away after detaching it could stop pirates from taking all your loot
The modular thrusters where my main source of modded thrusters until the latest update they should be triple the speed and thrust what was shown on this ship. their under powered and broke now.

Form follows function. Take a square ship and make it round as you can while still functioning well and looking good inside. Ignore Gyroscopes in the engine room and don't bother connecting turrets to the cargo bay, then wrap a nice look shell around the square, with the Turret ammo and gyroscope on the inside of the shell. For curves remember to use 3x1 and 2x1 blocks in sequence to get a slowly curving up slope, and reverse the order for a slow downcurve. Use circles and curves a lot, people like those. Make sure it's pretty with needless details like mood lights and ribbing.

My capital ship is probably 5 times as large, sadly, not finished, I need the motivation..
couple guns in the front section to help protect it but other than that looks about perfect besides the accel
