Ikr. As a nursery worker I see parents who have one disabled child who struggle to cope (who wouldn't). To have two so close together and be so incredible is special
Not necessarily, some of them hate their kids and become abusive. I’m disabled and my parents are great, but some of my disabled friends have nasty parents.
@@ozgal6929she is in her 30s now, she didn’t have more children as a teenager, she was a grown adult. You have no place to judge a grown adult for having children. She isn’t an immature 13 year old mum anymore.
I was 20 when I had my first. I honestly did as well as I have because of him. I was in college, went from a B - C student, to straight A’s, 4.0 gpa. He was the best thing to ever happen to me. He’s 15 now, and such an amazing kid. So smart and sweet. I always say he saved me.
How about she is 14 years old and isn't ready to be a parent? That's not necessarily mental health issues, it's her being a rebellious young punk kid. Why is everything automatically turned to mental illness?
Natalie’s triplets are now in year 9 and they lived up the road from me in Denton and she’s also now got other children and she’s an amazing mum and Ellie Maddie and lilly are so polite.
I have a lot of empathy for Charlotte. She is a child. And she is a child with behaviour issues and a difficult home life (let's not forget she was in a children's home cause her parents couldn't cope with her). If the comments are to trust, she put Sophie up for adoption, and I'm really happy to hear that. It's what is best, in my opinion, for both children, Sophie and Charlotte.
I am so relieved about that! I was just looking for some hint about what happened with poor little Sophie. The early maternal neglect causes permanent emotional damage and I hope her new parents are getting help with making up for lost time. I also wish the best to Charlotte. She only knew what she herself suffered.
Simone and Dwayne are actually really good parents. A lot of parents of special needs children crack under pressure, but they’re doing so well and trying they’re best to give their children beautiful lives. That’s something to be respected.
This is the harsh reality as a girl that has no self esteem and no father to tell her what she has going for herself. Some guy comes along and even though he's ruined other girls lives he doesn't care because for him there are no consequences. This was me.
As someone who was born with CP myself, it always warms my heart when parents decide that they’re going to raise their baby with special needs just the same as any other child.
My son has cystic fibrosis and autism. He's my youngest and I love him every bit as much as his two older sisters❤ I'm a lucky mother to have three beautiful kids as I'm sure your parents feel lucky for you.
@@BalboaBagginsOh shut up, men know just as well the consequences. Nobody is playing "the blame game", the blame is put where it fairly should be. They are to blame for leaving the mother taking care of the consequences by themselves when is both parents responsibility.
Balboa Baggins actions that men cause as well? the only reason why i didn’t mention over praising the mothers that stay is because this documentary is about the moms and the children, and the comment section is filled with praise of the fathers that have stayed. So don’t tell me i’m playing the ‘blame game’ lol, i’m not blaming anyone.
All these comments shaming the young women and their parents, but nobody wants to mention the father of these babies abandoning their children and THEIR parents?
@@jadenicole6326 They deserve to be loved, absolutely. But if you know you are a carrier for genetic defects that will make a child's life very difficult, you shouldn't be selfish to bring kids into the world when you know very well they're going to suffer from conditions. I really don't understand parents who have 4 kids with brain defects, for example, and keep having more. I find it super selfish.
Angie While I agree to some extent, in this specific case, both Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy are usually not hereditary conditions, meaning they occur without being passed down by the parents. While Down Syndrome is technically a genetic condition, affecting the 21 chromosome, only 1% of all cases of Down Syndrome have a hereditary component (passed from the parent through genes). Cerebral Palsy on the other hand is not a genetic condition at all, and is usually the result of a complication that occurs during birth causing brain injury to the baby. It is not passed along through the DNA, and has no hereditary or genetic component. For the couple in this video, it seems that by chance they ended up with two disabled children, with two different conditions, both of which have an almost nonexistent chance of having anything to do with their hereditary DNA (CP having zero chance). While it’s rare for something like this to happen, it’s still possible, as we see here. Some may call it having horrible luck, but the couple shown here seems to feel very blessed to have two extraordinary children in which they see their potential rather than their limitations. The chance of them having another baby with DS or CP is no greater or less than anyone else. These conditions just happen. Of course there are certain factors that can make these things more likely to happen (old age, health status, etc), but given their young age and good health, it’s just a matter of chance, just like it would be for you or I. If they feel capable of raising and providing for another child, that is their choice, and seeing how responsible they are with their other children, it shouldn’t matter to anyone else. If they did have a hereditary condition that was passed down to both of their previous children, then I may agree with you, but that doesn’t appear to be the case here.
Charlotte says “I didn’t know you could get pregnant the first time”, and it sounds ridiculous, but so many young girls think the same. It’s criminal on the part of their parents/ carers not to effectively educate their children. No young woman should not be aware of the consequences of their actions, even at thirteen. Although that does raise the issue of how someone as vulnerable as Charlotte could be “allowed” to get pregnant.
She was also in foster care at the time. I don't know one thing about the foster care system in the UK, but I do know that here in the states there is a ridiculous amount of not so pretty things that go on in foster homes.
The girl with the twin boys is amazing. She seems very smart and mature and a great mom. She was even being responsible as far as using contraceptives. I honestly didn’t know that antibiotics could mess with your birth control until I was like 30. That’s something that should be taught more. Her boys are a blessing though and some of the cutest babies I’ve ever seen ❤️
@rogerroo Check the stats. Most women use birth control. My failure was something very common. I had a sinus infection and my doctor gave me antibiotics without telling me it could render the pill ineffective. I've met many people who had a similar story.

@Wendy Regis Firstly, by that line of logic, abortion should be illegal, as well, and women should be forced to give birth. "Should have used birth control if she didn't want to have a kid" after all
@Wendy Regis Secondly, even when a man is spermjacked or raped, he's still forced to pay child support. "Should have wrapped it up" doesn't help in those cases
Imagine if the teen boys or men who got these girls pregnant were there and could do 50% of the WORK. Imagine how much more successful these teen moms would have been.
It's quite obvious that Charlotte had underlying problems before she became a mum. She was taken into care at 11 and became sexually active while living in a children's home, giving birth at age 13. The fact that she found it so difficult to show affection and playful love towards her child is because she genuinely doesn't know how to. She looked very uncomfortable during the baby massage session. I'm surprised that her baby wasn't taken into care, or handed over to her parents from the beginning (although, the parents have a lot to answer for). She seems very immature; I would have thought she was 12 instead of a girl approaching 15. I really hope her baby doesn't develop emotional bonding issues later on in life.
Agree. I think the parents could have done more.. My family would not have allowed the adoption in any circumstances. They would take over and do the caring. I think Chatlotte has postnatal depression... Not mentioned at all. I hope she doesn't have any more kids - ever
@@AndreyaWryght Completely agree with the postnatal depression im surprised no one mentioned it too. but why should she not have anymore children. even if Sophie was adopted doesn't mean charlotte cant be a good mum at some point in the future

Her baby deserves so much more. Charlotte needs her self esteem boosting. There is a real root problem there somewhere and may be the whole family need help.
I would be concerned she would shake her if she got annoyed and wasn't able to pawn her off. Luckily she gave her away to a good family. Thank goodness.
What kind of parent responds with just "Don't you get pregnant!" Damn it sit your child down and have a proper talk with her about how to avoid pregnancy...
I am sure the woman tried to talk to her daughter about using protection and birth control. However, aside from shoving a birth control pill down her daughter's throat every day, there's hardly more that she could've done to prevent it. You can't staple the girl's "parts" shut. Kids sneak out, don't listen to their parents, and find themselves in hot water. Even kids who were warned time and time again. There's only so much you can do if you have a willful teenager determined to do what they want.

We should be living like youngsters as long as we should, fantasise about things we live, travel places before we grow up! Then when we’re grown up we can find the right person and have children if we want. Never grow up too fast!
the way Charlotte picks up that baby makes me so nervous
She never supported her neck. Seriously Charlotte grosses me out! So glad the baby was taken away from her
Absolutely!! The look in Charlottes eyes 👀👀 she's evil or something
Oh thank God baby Sophie was adopted!!!🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The mum of triplets needs a medal! Well done mumma! You have done great!
Yes adorbs 😍😍😍
I really am amazed by her and her beautiful babies ❤️
I agree. She was blessed with a mature spirit. ❤ Honestly- I'm 37 and a mother of 5; But I really don't know how I would handle myself having triplets!! This sweet young mama has a nice and calm demeanor, that I'm sure helps with three infants! I am watching this many years after it was filmed. I hope and pray that she was able to keep that sense of calm, along with the love and support of her beautiful mom!! And that her girls have grown up as beautifully as their mama and grandma. ❤❌⭕❤❌⭕❤
Kitty Kat honestly!! she’s turned a less than ideal situation into such a positive thing!! she’s doing amazing💕

The parents of the disabled kids are such good parents
Ikr. As a nursery worker I see parents who have one disabled child who struggle to cope (who wouldn't). To have two so close together and be so incredible is special
Not necessarily, some of them hate their kids and become abusive. I’m disabled and my parents are great, but some of my disabled friends have nasty parents.
Anisah Zainab and their nan is so supportive!
After a couple kids with different conditions I'd look into genetic counseling.
As a mother, my heart breaks for Sophie. She's so cute and sweet. I couldn't help tearing up or being frustrated.

Someone said she was given up for adoption a few months after this was filmed. That was the best thing for her.

Can we just take a moment to commend Natalie on the way she takes care of not one not two but three babies. It amazed me
I was 20 when I had my first. I honestly did as well as I have because of him. I was in college, went from a B - C student, to straight A’s, 4.0 gpa. He was the best thing to ever happen to me. He’s 15 now, and such an amazing kid. So smart and sweet. I always say he saved me.
Charlotte is disassociating , I'm surprised no one seemed to notice she has mental health issues and needed help
shimmeringpath baby will be abused or neglected
How can you tell?
How about she is 14 years old and isn't ready to be a parent? That's not necessarily mental health issues, it's her being a rebellious young punk kid. Why is everything automatically turned to mental illness?
I mean she met her baby daddy in a mental hospital
She looks like she has PPD. She doesn't seem like she feels okay at all, about any of it.
Natalie’s triplets are now in year 9 and they lived up the road from me in Denton and she’s also now got other children and she’s an amazing mum and Ellie Maddie and lilly are so polite.
Wow really ? 😊

True
My hearts breaking for baby Sophie. Charlotte is an awful mother.
I,'m so glad she gave the baby to someone who wants her. I hope the girl doesn't get pregnant again.

"Her boyfriend already had two children" well not a red flag there at all then.

No kidding you run away when a guy has a history like that
This is the harsh reality as a girl that has no self esteem and no father to tell her what she has going for herself. Some guy comes along and even though he's ruined other girls lives he doesn't care because for him there are no consequences. This was me.
Agreed!!! oh Lord, how thick can yah get, even I thought that was a red flag dang!!!🙄

As someone who was born with CP myself, it always warms my heart when parents decide that they’re going to raise their baby with special needs just the same as any other child.
They are such great parents
My son has cystic fibrosis and autism. He's my youngest and I love him every bit as much as his two older sisters❤ I'm a lucky mother to have three beautiful kids as I'm sure your parents feel lucky for you.

The couple with the special needs children are absolutely amazing parents
Emma Smith I know! Aren’t they??💗
Susan Rosa yep... and she & her fiancé will love them endlessly because they’re still children and humans and deserve to be loved.
@Susan Rosa Wondering if there's a genetic issue there - maybe on the Y chromosome - but they do seem to be fab people.
Can we do a “where are they now?”!! Lmaooo
They are teenagers now and maybe pregnant

Charlotte says “I didn’t know you could get pregnant the first time”, and it sounds ridiculous, but so many young girls think the same. It’s criminal on the part of their parents/ carers not to effectively educate their children. No young woman should not be aware of the consequences of their actions, even at thirteen. Although that does raise the issue of how someone as vulnerable as Charlotte could be “allowed” to get pregnant.
Chloe W totally agree.
You have to consider something though. She wasn't living with her parents when she started dating the baby's father. She was in foster care.

Apparently the baby was put up for adoption.
Agree. I think the parents could have done more.. My family would not have allowed the adoption in any circumstances. They would take over and do the caring. I think Chatlotte has postnatal depression... Not mentioned at all. I hope she doesn't have any more kids - ever

Right!?! Epic parenting fail, well done educating your daughter. 😒
AND WHILE YOUR AT it GET YOUR SONS AND TELL THEM TOO
I am sure the woman tried to talk to her daughter about using protection and birth control.
Real Talk
There is another kind of birth control that can be put into the person's arm and it's good for like a year
