I can’t believe I’ve driven past this place a lot of and it’s so close to my home and I’ve never checked it out. Thanks for sharing this. Looks like authentic Mexican which is hard to find. Will be going soon for sure! 😋
San Diego is like Tijuana North. It is so amazing. There is an heavy Mexican Influence here You know tge food is good if The taste is similar in a 5 miles radius.
You really have to try the Nevada burrito next time you’re back in Vegas it is basically a California burrito with Pastor. I would recommend going to habaneros. There are three in town. Don’t know where you stay when you’re here but check it out. You’ll thank me later by the way, I’ve been watching a lot of your videos the last couple years and I’m heading down to San Diego this week to try a lot of your stuff out. Wish me luck lol.
I love that you interviewed the Owners and got their perspective. I'm just starting to get into editing and Started my own channel, you always give me ideas to run with. Thanks Jay!!
Nice video on Lolitas @jaycation! I usually go to the one near Petco after a busy day at San Diego Comic-Con too! I used to go to the Clairemont location a lot when I used to work in La Jolla. I like how they have green onions and radishes at the salsa bar. I dig their fish and California burritos!
Appreciate your SD content! I’m born and raised in the Southeast area of SD, and Lolita’s is a classic South Bay spot! 🔥 Jay, my boy! You need a new hat 😂😂
Hey Jay, I’m moving to San Diego this summer and your videos are a big reason why ha. Do you think living in Coronado/Mission beach is too far of a commute to Rancho Sante Fe? Thanks for all the information you give
I need and I meant NEEEEED TO KNOW where I can get tacos with meat cooked on charcoal and also has hand made tortillas. I refuse to believe I can easily find this in San Bernardino but not San Diego. I moved here a year ago and most of the food has been disappointing so far.
I hate when people put guacamole in a cali burrito... save that for Carne asada fries... but a true cali is just meat fries cheese sour cream.. sometimes pico
Lolitas portions in chula vista got super skimpy and super expensive, love the food but the portions are taco bell sized now, super skimpy, L street is what im talking about .
Nice job, Jay. Happy to see long time businesses like Lolita’s being shared with the world.
San Diego has the best Mexican food hands down! It’s just facts.
We are obessed with Mexican food here in California, because California was once part of Mexico. So naturally the food is popular In California.
Because mexican food is so good. ☺
I love their salad! Lolita’s menu is unique!
Glad to see glad to see you back in SD and not Vegas lol!
I definitely visit your recommendations while living in OC…thanks Jay!
That tsunami salad looks bomb!!!
she did a great job explaining everything

OH HECK YA! Love my Mexican food!
Yummo..can't go wrong with Mexican food. Ty for sharing ❤️
I moved from San Diego before Lolitas opened so I've never had the pleasure, but next time I'm in town I'm hitting it up, thanks Jay
Nice video Jay, I enjoy having Mexican food in So Cal 😊
Been waiting for more SD content

This place is on my list for my next visit. Awesome looking food! 😋
I go to that Lolita’s on Clairemont like once a week. Carne asada fries with extra crispy fries.

It looks like a great family business. I would probably want to try one of everything!

Nice! Thanks for watching. Love interviewing owners and telling their story it makes the restaurant feel more personal!
So I'm guessing the Mexican food in SD is better than Vegas? 🤣
@Pat 75, lol, yes
Of course
We are so close to Tijuana that a lot of our food here has some Mexican taste and flavor from it.
Much much better
Oo

Lolita's is our fav!😍

Appreciate your SD content! I’m born and raised in the Southeast area of SD, and Lolita’s is a classic South Bay spot! 🔥
Jay, my boy! You need a new hat 😂😂
I was born and raised in So Cal, moved to NorCal 51 years ago. Love Mexican food. Many relatives in SD.
Definitely hitting up Lolita’s next time I’m in SD! CLMT my old hood 😎
Great job on the video jay jay 🔥
Yummy
You need the guac on that California Burrito! But looks delicious.
Yeah, guac is deffo traditional.
@@kleinbottled79 that two in one burrito is something I need in my life.
Se ve buenisimo
Cool video, pare! Have you tried MJ's Fusion Deli in Chula Vista? Great people and tasty fusion food. Stay Blessed, bro.
Love steak and fries burritos!
I saw a video odity odicies ( on you tube) they got into the boat houses in Encinitas to do a video, that might be a good video for you
Rolled tacos 😌 they're called taquitos! Almost like saying small tacos in Spanish
That salad looks bomb

Awesome job jay thumb up my RUclips partern.
I need to try out the location in Kearny Mesa. I get my car serviced at the Kia dealer next door.
Lolitas is an SD cultural icon at this point. Shoutout Kearny mesa location but why they closed on Sundays?! 😭😭😭😭
Did you eat all that in one sitting?
I do like their cali burrito but just hate how at lolitas you gotta add guac on it. That should already be included on it!
🙌👍

Shareable? Nah. I eat the whole thing myself.
It should be against county law to make a California burrito without guac
I hate when people put guacamole in a cali burrito... save that for Carne asada fries... but a true cali is just meat fries cheese sour cream.. sometimes pico
Guac is God's green gift for ANYTHING mexican.
A California without guacamole is called an Arizona . 👊🏻
@@browze7256 😆😆😆
I usually ask for guac on the side. Otherwise, it can get very sloppy.
Overpriced.
