If you buy the Tokyo dirty dvd it comes with a second disc I think but anyways they have the making of the movie and they show how they built Hans car step by step with veilside. I remember them going through in detail of the veilside car about the challenges with the body kit and how they went about it.
Hi TJ, the car it´s looking great, and the gap betwen the trunk and the back bumper is like that, others Vielside kits have also that gap that is going to be "filled" with the rubber seal.
@@codyf1562 yes and no, my Z32 has a VeilSide EC1 spoiler that I installed and water just puddles there so I don’t think VeilSide expects their designs like that but maybe on fortune Kits
I was and still am a huge fan of your first RX7 build, it is just the perfect street car. So naturally, I was blown away when you announced this Veilside build. This just has nostalgic vibes of when You and Calvin worked on Miley in the small garage. You are just such an inspiration to the younger generation of car enthusiasts. Congrats on everything You achieved so far and thank You for constantly inspiring and being who You are!
TJ, I hope you see this! When you go to mount the rear quarter panel piece instead of taking out the entire enterior to gain access. Just drill out the hole round and put a threaded rivit insert. It will make life a whole lot easier!
yep I used rivnuts on my horrible fitmen cf sideskirts and they would make the mock up of this so much faster and less frustrating. plus rivnuts are so easy to use
OG's remember when Danny had that Mazda 3 hatchback. Throwback to when he had that wild hair and Teeg first introduced him to the channel. It's crazy to think that I've been following TJ's rise from 1000 or subs to now, like no joke been watching my guy all through my teen's to now. NGL his early videos in the Calvin's driveway inspired me to work on my cars and knowing he had the e90 330 sedan before Miley was hella cool but tbh i never messed around with it too much. Now with the 4Runner I got I been putting in that work and shes come a far way, props guys for entertaining us over the years man.
I’m so hyped to see a veilside build because they’re not common. Also it’s crazy how fast your progressing on the build and it makes me look forward to your videos coming out. Can’t wait to see this in person!
I really hope that people appreciate what TJ does when he constantly says that he does not know what he is doing. Intentionally or not, he shows people (like me) that they can do stuff like this no matter how complex or difficult the seem to be. As long as you have some common sense, know how to read, have the courage, be patient enough and have a team/support system(preferably), you are capable of almost anything.
The lines that the veilside kit create make it look timeless. It also adds a boxiness that actually makes the rx-7 seem even more tough than it does stock, and this is coming from someone who loves the curves and the lines that the stock body FD has. Part of me wants to see it in the 2 tone black and gold so that it's a complete F&F3 replica, but part of me also wants to see it in a completely original colour scheme. Either way, this is gonna be siiiiick when she's finished.
Still blows my mind something worth so much is so hard to fit properly. Going to look awesome once you get it right though, stoked for content later in the week ;)
@@lane9668 nothing to do with its age. For a start the car is from the 90s and has definitely had a few shunts and is probably not straight. Honestly, what i think this kit is a reject kit. Veilside used to sell reject kits, which were basically kits that had bad fitment and or visual defects for a reduced price, a friend bought a reject 350z kit from them for like half off the usual price. Either that or the chassis has defects, the kit didn't survive the Texas heat.
Why wouldn't you just do nutserts in the factory holes to hold the rear flange of the fenders to the body? This would prevent having to access inside the quarter moving forward.
@@boiedy12 normally I'd agree, but if I had the friends he does willing to do this stuff with me, I'd sure as hell be doing it with my buddies. That, and this is a hell of a kit for taking it back to a garage build for the channel.

This was my dream car for years, I'm so into this build! I honestly like the kit without the wing. I know it doesn't get the hot boi status without but I think it's slick.
Im sure that gap is purposely made that way possibly so you dont smash your fingers with the hatch or just to be able to lift the gate so your not pushing up from the spoiler.
Why didn't you nut cert on the rear end where them rear fenders go on instead of reaching down through the interior panels to put a bolt . Nut cert is much cleaner and faster.
I haven’t watched any of your videos since hs(2018) missed your content TJ glad to be back, and it’s awesome to still see familiar faces. The BRZ build days man
They are hella busy. They are also currently working on the new BRZ/FRS/86 street hunter hit that they are developing. During Sema for the c8 kit reveal, they almost weren't even able to finish and in fact had to finish some of the car on the show floor because SoS has so much going on before Teej showed up. Same thing with Premuim when he got his Lambo wrapped. They would have done it but they are already over scheduled so they didn't take the Lambo on.
I really think you guys will figure every thing out by the end and you probably like the challenge of doing that as well. Im really stoked to see the result! But if you gets "stuck" there is a guy named Lukas Kooz from Swedan who has built a Veilside RX-7 (like 12 years ago though) who maybe can be helpful, explaining all the hickups in the kit. Like i said really stoked to see it transform and the final result!
That’s what I thought and then the rubber weather stripping around the hatch stops any water going in. Probs just needs some holes for sitting water to go through.

That space between the hatch and bumper is for you to be able to grab the hatch and lift it up. Car looks fire man love it. And personaly i would fill the gap but leave like a 6inch in the middle as a handle
