Finally some appreciation for this most underrated of Omega models.Steel/gold is stunning and you'll go a long time before you see it on someone else's wrist unlike Rolex.
Best Omega Connie review out there. Recently picked up a 38mm one with the 8500 movement ( two barrel design) for about $4K brand new with pale blue diamond pattern dial. Simply awesome. So underrated.
Still criminally underrated in end of 2022. Picked up a older generation co-axial Constellation on auction for only 870 euro. Its a full kit and not even in bad condition!!! Will give it a full movement overhaul as soon as it arrives.
I think the Constellation is a gorgeous watch, my dream watch since the first time I saw it when I was a teenager, so happy I got it a few years back. I think it's a watch for a gentleman with a refined taste who doesn't cater to the hype or opinion of others.
Thank you for this review. I got my lady the rhodium 36mm with gold indices. I found a sale for 2950 USD brand new. Connie is king in Asia. You are the goat of reviewers, your passion can be felt with every word.
Another fantastic review on one of my favourite brands, your knowledge in this field is unrivalled and testament to your passion thanks for sharing. PS loving the intro btw!
Your intros just get better and better! Love the in-depth history section of the video and of course the detailed review of the watch. Problem is your watch reviews make me want to go out and buy one of each! Great vids TGV
I liked your choice of Satie's Gymnopedie No. 1 for the introduction to this great video. I bought the 41mm polished blue ceramic Constellation last summer and absolutely love it. Its my first Omega and I get a lot of compliments on it. Thank you for your diligence in reviewing these watches and in your affable presentation style.
Wow, I have to say I have never looked very deeply into the Constellation.....I have learned a great deal today! Thank you, TGV. While I myself have not been very attracted to the newer models, the history of the piece and the vintage pieces are quite intriguing. Exceptionally well done as always! Thank you, my friend. Onwards and Upwards!
Hi TGV. I've been an amateur astronomer and space buff since the early 70's and just loved that intro. The rest of the vid was superb, so informative. Thanks for all the hard work that goes into keeping these at such a high standard. That all steel Manhattan is just gorgeous. Best wishes from the U.K.

So glad you made this video - I was only ploughing through YT yesterday looking for a decent video on the Constellation and none existed that I could find!
Awesome show my friend! Great intro !! Beautiful watches! The blue dial is special!!! What a fantastic exhibition caseback !!!! The bracelet is very solid!! Has an 80’s feel to it!!! Both are a little too dressy for me! Doesn’t mean I can’t love what I see! 25,000 bph?????? Well that’s a watch conversation starter!;) all the best !
Thank you my friend :D LOVED the Arnie skit you did btw. I had a feeling you would like the blue ;-) Stay safe and well, parliamo presto. Best regards, T.
First off, I really like the video intro. Great choice of music. Overall, the entire production is well done. As far as the watch, I really like the looks of the solid steel Constellation. I just wish I could afford it. My personal favorite era of the Constellation is the 1980's and 1990's version. My favorite Omega thus far.
Appreciate you Tristiano! An homage to your sartorial roots, a classy canvas to present the absolutely stunning Omega Constellation! A world class presentation from the both of you. Ciao.
Tgv, No joke, you actually need to make a film or documentary about watches. Your editing skills are crazy mad man!!!!! Also, I never really liked the constellation, but you opened my eyes to it now. Thank you man!

This week, I got my first automatic, (at Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic) and next on my list is a classic Omega. A Constellation like the older models featured in this video seem to be a perfect candidate for what I am looking for. While I am leaning more toward a Geneve, I'll be keeping an eye out for one of these when I've saved enough to get one! Thanks for your always educational and uplifting videos.

I just got a 2 tone Constellation Double Eagle Co-Axial with a silver dial and OMG it is incredible. I would say this holds up against any Rolex or even a Vacheron Constantin.
A great review for a great watch! It's very underrated indeed. The last iteration of this model is stunning in my opinion, but also the vintage pieces are so cool.
Nice review and cool graphics and music on the intro. I just added the Constellation 41 (in steel with the blue face) to my collection and I absolutely love it -it's my 3rd Omega. Your review (and almost every other) fails to note an intriguing design feature in the 41mm; one that was the clincher for my purchase: the radiance on the face always orignates from the gold star above the date window (i.e the Sun in the constellation), rather than from the (typical) center of the face as in the 39mm. This is a huge design distinction, which creates a beatiful, dynamic and dazzeling effect - I can't stop staring at it! I dont't think video of the ceremic bezel does it any justice - the blue ceramic bezel with the liquid metal Roman numerals is gorgeous, vrtually scratchproof and changes shades of blue depending on the lighting. Also, on the face, the indices are faceted and really catch the light and almost "sparkle", giving the watch even more visual dynamics. Lastly a nice detail with the clasp - its designed so the excess strap feeds in and tucks in beneath the clasp and against your wrist, so is very comforatable and there is no extra keeper needed and a clean design. Yes I would like a little more lume as well, but I have no issue with orientation of the dial in the dark since its on my wrist. I do also love the fact that you don't see these watches everywhere, unlike some other popular brand (beginning with R)! Thanks again.
The Constellation is a stunning set of Omega designs. Whilst not to everyone's taste I have to say the quartz crisis rectangular quartz ones really appeal to me! It's the 70s/80s futuristic vibe. The new ones are stunning. As always great knowledge and pristine delivery, your videos are always most welcome 👍

I just got myself a vintage Omega Constellation from 1966 ref.163.001 with a Cal.712. (the thinest) and arabic. Such a beautiful vintage piece and so underrated ! 👌
If this watch had a better water resistance (20 ATM) it could very much be a one watch collection... you can dress it up or dress it down, be it formal, casual, or sporty. beautiful watch and great video. TGV, you should start a watch documentary series.
Have always loved the Constellation and have a 1960's Piepan in 14ct. and a Manhatton steel quartz from the 80's...I still enjoy wearing them to this day ....great review
I have a light blue triangle pattern 38mm Connie. It’s one with the 8500 caliber with double barrel system. The 41mm I liked a bit more from size perspective had the 8800 Single barrel caliber while Metas certified. It also loses the jumping hour ability, so that’s something to keep in mind with the 8800 series Caliber, which is an upgrade for 2500 caliber actually for their entry level watches.
A nice contribution TGV... You have convinced me to take a look at this brand more closely. Always love your work. Thank you my friend, have a good weekend. Onwards and upwards. 🥃🥃👍

Great video, as always! I would love to see a review of the 28 mm Aqua Terra quartz! This is what I got for my wife for Valentine’s and while doing my research I found almost zero info on it! Anyway, she loves it and it was a good choice, but seeing a video like this would have made the choice so much easier! Keep up the great work!
Ouch the price! 😅 Still I appreciate the History of the piece thanks to your vid. More watch reviewers need to cover the history of the piece like this channel instead of just glossing it over. I also love the production values and the background music. It centers on the watch. Not just a talking head and the watch. RUclipsrs need to realize we don't need to see THEM all the time in their vids. 😅 This is not the news.😅
I have a 1968 Constellation Day Date Automatic Chronometre in stainless steel. It’s the first watch I fell in love with and I wear it often lol. Get one. Enjoy.
Nice one TGV; loving the details; the history and the sheer honesty behind your review. Cracking watch; I adore the liquid metal surround, purely a matter of taste. Like the claws reference. The lack of link adjustment is just wrong. All in all though; great work by Omega 👍
Just beautiful the blue version! But I have to say I realy like the bracelet! Thank you Tristano for the review! In my country România we have "Teleenciclopedia" a TV show about many things , and your videos and your voice remind me about that! I didn't watch that tv show from my childhood and I have some good memories from that period! ❤
As an owner of a 1956 cal. 505 and 1968 cal. 564 myself, I can attest to them both keeping incredibly accurate time. I fell in love with the pie-pan dial and much prefer the original aesthetic of the 50’s and 60’s offerings over the subsequent design iterations. Those truly were the glory years.
Pure jelly!!! I love it. Thank you, I appreciate you agree about the glory days. Enjoy those damn fine watches!!! Thank you for sharing. Best regards, TGV
Agreed. The claws and the flat face doesn’t do it for me like the 50’s and 60’s. I have a 1962 constellation from my grandfather, and it is my favourite for sure.
Thanks TGV for another great video. The 39mm with the engraved dial is slightly more subdued and elegant. The 41 with the ceramic bezel is a touch sportier. Both are beautifully done and frankly, very dependent on mood. Hard to tell from video but the finishing on them appears exquisite.
Well done. I am a big fan of the Constellation. I have a few from the 1960's and a new Globemaster. The Globemaster as part of the Constellation line is one heck of a watch sharing the same caliber 8900, and as accurately summarized by you highly underrated.. Not to start a pissing contest but in my mind it goes toe to toe with the Datejust.
I had a Constellation for a short while. I bought it online from an established and reputable dealer that advertised it as a 35mm watch. Unfortunately, that measurement included the crown, so it was more like a 32mm. I wore it for a while, but it was just too small, so I sold it on and bought a Longines tank-style watch. That one, I LOVE!!!
2 very classy choices and I hate it when that happens, it happened to me once with a watch I bought on ebay. Anyways, enjoy the Longines! Thank you William, Best regards, TGV
@@theurbangentry The watch that I had looked like the one shown at 6:08, but the day and date discs were color-matched black instead of white. Seeing that picture has made me really miss it!
T (aka the KING of intros), great video as always. Your intros are just phenomenal and I do not know another channel who comes close. Great video as always too. Best as always. Matthew
My wife has a gold ladies version of the Constellation we purchased back in the 1990's. Later she saw and fell in love with the ladies Constellation in gold with the brown feather-texture dial. I'm on the hunt; they are not inexpensive! Good vid. Keep at it!
Super intro! Terrific insight of the history TGV as well as great presentation. While I really like the new Constellation with my preference leaning towards the ceramic bezel I prefer my blue dial Globemaster Pie Pan master chronometer on the dark blue band as the my all round watch. Once this COVID lock down eases It would be good to see the new models in the the real world.
I too have not been a fan of the more recent Constellations but this latest iteration is amazing looking! Maybe you should consider one of these for your personal collection TGV. The Royal Oak vibes are strong while it still being it's own thing.
Well, I’ve never under-rated it: the design has always resonated with me. That said, I have two Speedmasters, one Seamaster and no Constellations. I do love this new one, though. Certainly the best since the early, now-vintage ones.

This version and braclet is god tier with the micro adjustment making it an everyday watch!

Best regards,
TGV
Agreed. The claws and the flat face doesn’t do it for me like the 50’s and 60’s. I have a 1962 constellation from my grandfather, and it is my favourite for sure.
Orologio dalle linee meravigliose!
Video di altissima qualità! Complimenti!!
Fabulous video. Omega is so elegant and precise that will be best forever
My first ever luxury watch was a Manhattan Auto in steel and yellow gold purchased in 1999 ! Lovely dress watch .
Love the presentation! The Globemaster has been a favorite of mine; old or new I would love to have one. Thanks TGV!
Such a worthy fave.
Thank you David,

Cannot agree on this more TGV! great video as always! Take care!
Thanks TGV for another great video. The 39mm with the engraved dial is slightly more subdued and elegant. The 41 with the ceramic bezel is a touch sportier. Both are beautifully done and frankly, very dependent on mood. Hard to tell from video but the finishing on them appears exquisite.
just placed an order for a new black ceramic 41mm can't wait to receive it
Great photography and review
Thank you Criag :D

Thank you William,

@@theurbangentry The watch that I had looked like the one shown at 6:08, but the day and date discs were color-matched black instead of white. Seeing that picture has made me really miss it!
T (aka the KING of intros), great video as always. Your intros are just phenomenal and I do not know another channel who comes close. Great video as always too. Best as always. Matthew
Hello everybody! Stay well. Thank you TGV.
Love Omega Seamaster, constellations, globemaster, and all your videos, congrats.
What a stunning watch. Well let’s starting saving again. Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in.
Did not even know it came in the smaller size. Great looking watch
lovely watch, but i like the vintage versions even more. Especially in gold.
You and me both my friend.
Thank you Steffen, you classy thing ;-)

@@theurbangentry thanks, i will definetly get one. My luck is that i live near the Swiss border. So plenty of used omega watches are in my area ;).
My grandpa wears the old one (which is gold) everyday. It's so stunning
@@tyt5216 He stuck with his mechanical when many of his Peers threw out theirs or neglected them
@@oscarosullivan4513 Yeah, and he's been taking good care of it so it's still in a great condition
My wife has a gold ladies version of the Constellation we purchased back in the 1990's. Later she saw and fell in love with the ladies Constellation in gold with the brown feather-texture dial. I'm on the hunt; they are not inexpensive! Good vid. Keep at it!
Thank you my friend. Your wife has equate taste. There are few things in life as classy as a lady with good tastes in watches. ;-)

Awesome vid as always. Interested to hear your thoughts on the zero west watch with the case back back made from recovered spitfire.
Epic intro, will go down as one of my favorites.
These intros are something else man - wow!
A introdução do vídeo ficou sensacional. Parabéns pelo excelente trabalho. Um forte abraço aqui do Brasil.
Ive just taken ownership of a 95 grey dial quartz, its really nice and quite thin, a perfect dress watch, just at 35mm it feels a touch small.
Wow perfect timing (pun intended) as I am currently looking at my next OMEGA timepiece goal.
