I am wondering seeing that many comments claiming me using a straw. Of course it's an additional tool and not allowed. I explained it at 2:20 why I'm using it.
Some practical advice, put a written disclaimer on the screen. It can be difficult to understand spoken words, for example due to hearing impairments; or the video might be muted (if watching during a break at work). If you put up an on-screen caption saying: "I'm using a straw instead of my mouth so you can see better", you should prevent any misunderstandings.
I thought it might rise if you get the red section spinning fast enough. Pressing down with two thumbs and torque it as best you can to get it spinning as fast as you can.
There are many solutions. One is put salt, or fine sand, in the gap. Then hit on the table next to it repeatedly. The puzzle will shake, and the red piece will start to float on top of the salt.

You're not allowed to use outside tools. He only used a straw because if he put his face up to puzzle to blow on the gap, he would be covering the camera so the straw helped the audience see. You really don't need the straw at all, blowing on it does just as good.

Another solution is to put your lips on the red piece and suck while raising your head. So pretty much just hold onto the red piece with your lips to suck it out.

I think it may work just by simple blowing into it from the top. A combination of the wind strength, angle, and the width of the wind blow should act similarly to blowing through a straw.
An interesting concept but I like my puzzles to have a bit more to them, more parts, something to work with. This one is a bit too inane for my taste. I am reminded of the puzzle with the two wooden paces held together from the inside by a little ball bearing. You had to shake the box in a certain direction to get the bearing to loosen from the magnet that it was stuck to. This one seemed more like a child's puzzle.
First thing I tought was using water, but that was scrapped when you said you couldn't use any tools. Didn't think your breath would create enough boyancy/updraft for the red cylinder to float on, so I think this is a really cool puzzle
you could place the end of the straw over the apex of the cone, and provide suction through the other side. if the cone is well made the straw should make a good seal and it will be able to lift the red block

If you're going to cheat with tools, you may as well just use a piece of scotch tape on the top, or some small kitchen tongs on the sides..

I don't know if I am correct but you can place one end of the straw on top of the conical part and suck the air out from the other one creating a vacuum which would pick up the smaller cylinder
rules are "without moving outer cylinder" so the air is not the answer. They say it fixes everything and in this case, a small piece of duct tape lightly touching the apex and pulling it out passes the rules.
Use an empty pop bottle. Put the mouth over the cone, then squeeze and release the bottle. It will create a vacuum and allow you to pull the cylinder out.
@1:16, judging by the conical shape and the small gap around the red part, i reckon you should blow hard onto the red part. The air will pass over the cone and down the gap and then behind it and knock your teeth out if you blow hard enough. Probably a good idea not to breathe in hard after blowing... Was i right or do you have to use a straw? Another way would be to stick the cup to the table with bluetack and then pick the table up and turn it upside down :)

one of my friends brought this to school and the first thing i did was use my pointer finger and thumb and just pinch it out. it isn't hard to do it at all. you say it was impossible but i did it within 15 seconds. He seemed pretty amazed i could do that and then showed me how i was suppose to have solved it but i still prefer the simple way of just pulling it out with your fingers.

I had this puzzle and i solved it using both of my thumbs. I pushed them together on the point of the cylinder With both thumbs adhered to The side points. It worked. I didn't even know about the other solutions. Thank you for sharing.
I was thinking to get the outside to be stuck to something so it doesn’t move, then use your finger to spin it around very fast and it climbs up the wall like water when spun in a bottle.
Use a stick glue put it on your finger and place your sticky finger on the red thingy and wait till the glue dries up, and gently pull it up without breaking the glue connected to your finger and the red thingy. (This is another way to solve the puzzle easy, this honestly be a difficulty 1.)

This puzzle falls into the category of bar-bet puzzles. Or draw the line outside of the square dots genre of puzzle. i.e. Think outside the square. I don't know if I would call this a commercial puzzle. If it came supplied with a straw, and the instructions said you can use the straw, then it would be a commercial puzzle.
I think i figured this one out! If you hold the puzzle in the air an move it straight down. The red block will stay behind in the air, allowing you to catch it. This would also be fitting with Newton's first law of motion which says that an object at rest will remain at rest untill another force is acting on it!!
You can just put your finger on the point of the red cylinder and tilt it sideways, it will fall and you can use the cylinder to make thw barrel stabd up again. #BeatTheSystem

my first thought was to use my lips to create suction on the conical part... a little gross if it's been handled a bunch but I think it might work
i think if you spin the red part like a spinning top it would "jump" out and that would be not using any extra tools
