- Today it's time for the July 2023 Bullet Journal Plan With Me video! I’m so excited to share this bright and summery monthly setup with you and super excited to test my new MellowDays bullet journal with watercolors! We’re creating a bigger gouache painting, doing some watercolor flowers, and using some washi tapes and other decorations products for a change. :)

It's always so fun watching a gouache piece come to life. I've been learning gouache painting this year and I find that it's so cool to see it come together, especially when the piece starts out confusing and then just clarifies itself as you go. I'm definately going to have to try out that blending technique! And yes, the mirror techinque is so useful but can be so depressing too! Really enjoyed seeing your digital edits as well. I've used some of your tapes in my july spread - that blue and white flower one you used on your title page especially, and it was nice seeing you use those beautiful designs too! And congrats on your five year youtube anniversary!

Just discovered your channel! I love it. Another RUclips painter I love nianiani sells outlines of her paintings on her shop, for a few dollars as a download. So those of us who love to paint but struggle to draw can print it and jump right in. If you put outlines on your shop I would buy them.

I'm now healthier, happier, and more confident, debt-free, earning six figures, and having time to spend with family and friends. I'm happier and live my life for myself. This is to encourage someone that "you can start anytime to have a reset, it's worth it!" I'm working hard to keep growing cus it's a journey 💓
Change your mentality, read self-help books, broaden your knowledge, budget and avoid impulse spending, save, take your finances seriously, eat healthy, exercise your body, meditate; the lost goes on....

I learned to be thrifty, spending as little as possible and paying myself first through investment. I developed plans, grew passive income, studied a lot of finance books, and constantly followed my plans.
There are several investing possibilities (real estate, equities, crypto, ETFs), but my best advice is to have a professional guide you toward a profitable one.

I can't believe how beautiful the apple blossoms and leaves came out on that watercolor paper. The blending was super nice and crisp! Now I know why it's so popular. The dot grid is such a necessity now lol

Yes, erasing too hard on the watercolor paper might damage the paper a little bit. If it seems like the colors don't blend well enough, it might be a better idea to do it again on a different paper.
What I often do is "practice" the painting first on my ipad or on my sketchbook. I also change my mind a lot and end up erasing, so it helps me to make my mind before I start the actual painting 😊
Also using a pencil with quite hard and light lead might help to keep the lines less visible. I use HB but even 2H or 4H might work well for lighter sketching :) I've also seen other people using a light blue or red colored pencil instead of a regular one and those lines supposedly blend better with the watercolors.

I always love your use of paper and the little color swatches are such a fabulous touch! 💛 When you come up with your main monthly painting design, did you use any inspiration or reference images or was it all from your mind? Your ability to create those trees in the distance with such accuracy and yet artistic style is impressive!! 💛

I usually always use some reference pictures, especially for small details like you mentioned. So for example, I might try to find a picture of "a pathway into forest" and use that picture as a guide for that one part in the painting 😄 I sometimes test the colors beforehand with my ipad too, especially for more difficult paintings like this.
