  • In this vlog I am going to the Caesars Head Lookoff in Caesars Head State Park, and the going hiking to the popular water fall at Raven Cliff Falls. The loop around is hard following several different colors - Red, Blue and Pink.
    Be sure to check out the overlook as well for an awesome view!
    The beautiful overlook is located over the Blue ridge Escarpment. From this location you can watch for hawks, and see into North Carolina as well as Georgia. Awesome views.
    Raven cliff falls is a 4 mile round trip with some challenging parts - depending which way you go. Here you will see the 420 foot Raven Cliff Falls.

    Thanks for taking the hard trail so the rest of us can see it. You guys are troopers. We hiked all the way up Chimney Rock a month or so ago. It was several hours but not like what you guys did.

      This is a beautiful trail - but not all of it would be good for everyone, that's for sure. I like hiking a variety of trails, some easy, some hard. This one was one of the hardest on the trip! Table Rock was also very hard. Thanks for checking out my video!

      It was a wonderful trail! I like that it had both views (that were easy), access to waterfalls (that was moderate) and then the harder stuff to really give a challenge for those who want it! The pink trail was a lot of fun - I enjoyed it more than she did, lol

    Beautiful scenery from Caesars Head and how lucky you folk had it all to yourselves. Your route may not have been official but sure was a lot more fun and quite "scary" through the rocks. What is the temperature like of the mountain streams - my experience they are normally quite cold. The waterfalls are simply stunning and that rock face simply took my breadth away. Not an easy trail and thanks to you both for doing it for us. Just love your videos and you taking us off the normal stuff we see in documentaries. Take care and thanks for the share.

    • @DestinationEarth
      @DestinationEarth  6 лет назад

      This was one of my favorite spots on the trip. Everything was wonderful about this area - the water, the views and the hikes! The water was cold as you suggested. Great tour Josh! a few rather scary looking trails at the beginning; steep stairs; muddy paths; scary ladder; one plank bridge; complicated trail system; all in all, not for the 'faint of heart' :o) interesting adventure! 'red and blue' got ya :o)

    • @DestinationEarth
      @DestinationEarth  6 лет назад

      Haha, yeah it was quite the path indeed! One of the harder hikes I've done actually. That being said, it made for a lot of content so that's always good, lol.

Hope to see ya there! :) Don't forget to stop at the watering hole on the way up, and grab some boiled peanuts for the journey too. On the way back home down grab some of the great Mountain Honey and some water out of the rock. It's the BEST!

      These places are awesome! I don't think I'll be getting back to SC any time soon unfortunately - too many other places to explore! I will be back in the USA in May/June though, so I am looking forward to that. These trails were amazing. I have never heard of Ball Rock before - but it must be in the same area.

    • @DestinationEarth
      @DestinationEarth  6 лет назад

      This was easily one of the most beautiful hikes from that trip. There was so much to see and the trails were fantastic. A little challenging, but enjoyable. The pink trail was intense! It wouldn't be one for everyone to try, that's for sure.

  • @TheMrsKKB
    @TheMrsKKB 6 лет назад

    Stunning views of the waterfall and love those bridges. Very cool find with that "hidden" path and I would have also gone if the chain was open ;) That trail started to look very tricky after the waterfall, I can't believe you kept holding on to that selfie stick while navigating it LOL. I can see why you both were worn out. Great video - thank you so much for sharing and checking out my channel!!! Subscribed :)))

      This was a fantastic hike. I really did enjoy it. I think it was a little more draining for her (I'm more if a seasoned hiker than she was), but I was glad she pushed hard to finish it. Great video, this looks like a really nice area. And that waterfall looked massive. Too bad the 2000' climb didn't at least get you a good view of it from the base. The pink trail looked pretty steep technical. I'm sure it felt good getting back to the car after that climb.

    • @DestinationEarth
      @DestinationEarth  6 лет назад

      Thanks! It was a great area - a very beautiful hike with lots to see! Yeah, all the tree cover didn't give way for any views at the bottom. Seeing that rock face was kinda cool though! Haha, yes, it was nice to finish up that hike. It didn't bother me as much as it did Krista, but I too was glad to relax after it!

  • @SquirmyFeetExplores
    @SquirmyFeetExplores 6 лет назад

    Whoah! That suspension bridge was right on top of the falls! That was cool and scary at the same time! Krista steps down the stairs like me. One step at a time :-)
    I like when the trail is well marked with different colors :-). Sometimes they have colored paint on the trail, so you know if you are still on the right trail. I easily get confused :-)
    LOL! No worries. My English is not good either :P

    So just spent the last 40 minutes as I was on my stationary bike watching about seven of your latest videos. I’ve never hiked in the south before but it was neat to see. I was wondering if you were Canadian and then I knew for sure when I saw the last video. LOL but It’s nice to following a hiking Vlogger that lives in Canada instead of the US. It’s a cool change. Your videos are definitely great references
    especially for somebody who is about to do a hike that you just did. So out of all the videos I just watched I like this one the best because of location. It was very lush ,green ,cool bridges and waterfalls. Plus the hike itself like quite an adventure. Well keep on hiking my friend!

I have never been to that part of it before - so that was neat to see. Yeah, I will be having a bunch of things from here up North soon enough!

      It looked fun. Krista need to stick at it. I could see a lack of confidence in areas. The key is to train - strengthen them supporting muscles. All the best...a pleasure to comment.

      South Carolina is very beautiful. It is nice that it has both these mountain areas, and then places like Myrtle Beach on the coast. Thank you so much for watching! I appreciate all the support you have been giving the channel!
