Wow, so the casting for BTR was already done while 86 was still in production, so at least a year before. Wouldn't have thought that. And Sayumi is a great senpai. Ikumi Hasegawa is funny too, she seems quite different IRL from the roles she tends to get.
I love 86 so much that I fell even more in love with BTR because of that. Especially when I heard that some of the 86 cast would also be in BTR, that seriously blew me away and I got super excited. Needless to say, they did a phenomenal job as expected.

It still saddens me how many people missed out on it’s greatness during it’s time, especially when the second season aired and some people didn’t even know. The story elements, characters, symbolism, themes, all of it were done so exceptionally well that most anime could be put to shame. With that said, if you’re sentimental to subjects like racism, inhumane treatment, war, loss, and injustice, then I wouldn’t recommend diving into it.
Hope if there is S2 of 86 they can be there too the 4 of them even if Yoppi n Saku-chan voice chara that doom to die or that battle android like. It will be great
I love how the friendship between Aoyama-san Suzushiro-san was already happen before BTR aired,and obviously many people didn't even know Aoyama-san in 86 since she was have role as Background Character,while Suzushiro-san and Hasegawa-san was main one,but nevertheless they know they going to work together in BTR was so great,and im glad they in same anime again😁 I actually love how 86 being mentioned,even though they obviously in difference anime and normaly anime with different studio didn't mix up together,but we can see the connection behind it. I laughed in BTR before crying in 86. I literally couldn't find any other anime that atleast can keep up with BTR but instead i got a masterpiece that made me cry a lot.

Yeah, Blu-rays and DVDs are already being released in Japan. There's relatively many bonus features since anime don't usually get a lot, but not this video at least since it's from Suzushiro's personal radio show. I think some of the Bocchi The Radio episodes might be included? The only bonuses I know for sure are the Road to Guitar Hero videos and the lyric videos.
I know there's a lot of projects where cast members end up in another one together but its always nice to hear them talk about it. One that still stands out to me is Rascal Bunny senpai's main protagonists ended up being the main protagonists in Shield Hero lol

Before BTR, I knew she was the cool member of Wake Up Girls. Then RUclips randomly recommended her channel to me one time. I would play her streams in the background even though I didn't understand much Japanese. Then I found out she was in BTR while it was airing, and all the behind the scenes stuff and radio translations helped me realize she's very different from how I saw her in WUG.
Not sure if it was the translator here or the original audio, but I love the addition of the background music. Gives the whole thing a very comfortable feel.
I'm very happy to see that bocchi is successful but also it makes me somewhat sad because 86 is a masterpiece and deserved more attention. Bocchi got it because of the memes. 86 was more serious
