The tightest funkiest horn band around. Sad that Bruce and Rocco are gone and there has been a literal revolving chair of vocalists over the years but with the exception of the horn section ( smaller though it may be ) in the Tedeschi Trucks Band, nobody does it better !

I wish the guitar player wouldn't use distortion on his playing. This is funk jazz, not rock. Bruce had it right the first time.
Man, i miss Rocco Prestia and Bruce Conte. RIP brothers in funk. And thank you for the beautiful musical treasures you gave to this world.

OK SO the bass is wrong - modern PAs do not load the room the way FRP with his Ampeg head and 2 boxes could do. Can anyone think of a more important amp for an electric instrument player - FRPs delicate approach and those mighty V-9s.
Man had 18 drivers working for him - opposite reasons, IE the power of his attack, would not Larry Graham would have had trouble without an Ampeg? Best stage sound we ever heard was David Brown with Santana 1975 - similar Ampeg rig.
I won't see them without Dave Garibaldi.....Now retired from touring.
man, that mix guy sucks! this music is not centered around the kick drum, sheeeesh.
They were a tight bad..so sad drug's broke them up
