I have a Toyota Corolla E12 with the same 3zz fe engine. It has 482.000 km and work very very fine, with a oil consumption in 10.000 km moderated (above the minimum signal) and I'm very happy with the car. Very glad to watch the removal and disassemble of my car engine .
First, the engine is "leaking". Then it is "rings and valves" without a compression test, leak-down test or any other tests. Taking the engine out without testing anything is odd.

Space is provided under the engine to remove the flywheel bolts

If you know how to work or do it well then it is better to engine the reassembly
