Happy independent po kuya Fern, 1880's o 19th century pala ang Goldenberg mansion sa maynila pero original parin ngayon para kay Marcos history! 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭👍👍👍👍

When I was in high school in California, my English professor told me that the Philippines was rich in culture and history even richer than America. Now I know what he means. My English professor said that he worked as a professor at Women's University in Manila for 20 years before he taught at my high school, and he is an America by birth and Filipino by heart. He said when he gets old he will retire and go back to the Philippines.

The Goldenburg Manson reminds me of old historical homes in Louisiana and New Orleans. The only difference is the homes in New Orleans are all built too close together. Louisiana and New Orleans use to be a French colony that America purchased from the French government.
I like watching your vlog but I think its better na in introduce mo sa start ng vlog mo kung nasaang place ka, when is watching this vlog in the 1st few minutes I keep wandering kung nasaang lugar ka ba nagpunta, but anyway, nice vlog

May entrance fee ba sa teus museum? Ang daming magagandang old mansions jan sa area, minsan may napasok ako may sale kasi sila ng mga old typewriters, ang gandang bahay.
Too bad you were not allowed to explore the interiors of that mansion. It would have been a blast to see what's inside that colonial structure. The exteriors are impressive and grandiose. Kudos to the people who are taking care of it.
Not allow, yet…. Because the construction is still on going.. Patience is the key, because when the right time comes, it will be very beautiful and totally worth the wait

When Malacanang Palace became the official Palace of the Governor General of the Philippines after the earthquake of 1863 Bario San Miguel which once sleepy barrio became the residences of the illustrados or the The Manila Elite mansion houses were built around Barrio San Miguel it was The Forbes Park of the Spanish era . The Goldenberg Mansion if I'm not mistaken was the Former Maharlika Palace where the largest Ferdinand Marcos Sr. silver collection was kept and displayed during the Marcos Administration. This area of Barrio San Miguel can be transform into a tourist attraction re-develope the area and give it a flavor of a turn of a century vibe with ornate lamp post and antique benches with flowering plant in terracota pots along the road since this is a place near Malacanang Palace it can be an ideal attraction along with The Prsedential Museums and Filipino food huntings since there is restaurant that cater for authentic filipno cuisine
The large collection of silverware were gifts during the 25th wedding anniversary of the President and First Lady and were auctioned off during the Cory administration.
@@Makaandog7804 thanks for the info is it the silverware with an IM initial on the silverware? After the People Power revolution in a nearby Manila district a salesman who went house to house selling silverware with an initial IM selling it cheaply my uncle said we should not buy it cause the initial IM stands for Imelda Marcos
Why is the period in the 1920s I think it was, when Adamson University was in its infancy, as a technical school for Chemistry-- housed here for a couple of years--glossed over? There is NOTHING shameful about that. As a matter of fact, as a student of history -- for me, that just adds ANOTHER LAYER of history to this place. Glossing it over again belies the DISHONEST nature of the Filipino/Marcos administrations. What a shame!!
Gusto ko itong tour guide napakalinaw niya magbigkas, magsalita, well explained. Detalyado talaga sya mag explained.

The Goldenburg Manson has both a Spanish and French influence. Which is why it looks so gorgeous.
Yes, you can easily see the old French Indochina design in the first floor and Spanish Filipino designs on the 2nd floor.
The Goldenburg Manson reminds me of old historical homes in Louisiana and New Orleans. The only difference is the homes in New Orleans are all built too close together. Louisiana and New Orleans use to be a French colony that America purchased from the French government.
Just say the Louisiana purchase, Napoleon needs funds for france's war effort
