These are excellent bulbs and an excellent video to help fitting. My notes having fitted the bulbs myself, are definitely remove the headlights as we wouldn’t have stood a chance fitting the bulbs first time. And secondly, both H7s and H1s have collars that need removing and putting in with the clips of them, before slotting in the bulbs. We didn’t see the H7s had collars as they were stiffer. Thanks to Mikey and Kieron for their help. Transporter HQ are fab.
Just received and fitted your H7s to my V2 headlights - super fast next day delivery thanks. My top-tip for fitting in situ is drivers side first. Take out the air-box top (2 x sensor plugs, 2 x spring clips and a jubilee clip = 2-minutes). This gives plenty of space to practice/fiddle/trial fit. The passenger side is fit by feel, but you've done it once so its easy! Great service guys from THQ thank you!

After speaking personally to Chris I can say what a marvellous fella he really is, I’ve not encountered that level of “can do” and helpfulness very often at all
I've got a set of the black edition, and they look amazing. I contacted THQ via email because I wasn't sure about the beam pattern and adjustment, but Kieran from the team sent me a link to this video that made it all as clear as my nights drive 😉 Thanks guys.
Fitted these to my V2 version lights today...….really pleased. And great to know how I can adjust them to ensure they're as fitted correctly!!! Did the bumper removal method which sounds a lot more work, but in the long run, it's easier than scraping your hands and struggling to fit in situ!
Hi Chris V3 lights in Black arrived today looking good carnt wait for a dry day to get them fitted and to find someone to code them for main and dip together really great service and super fast delivery. Cheers Guys
Fitted my v3 headlights no issue even as a complete beginner. Video is a godsend - thank you so much. Have you a guide or tips on fitting Eurolight deflectors please? (Def. can't justify a spare set of LHD sorry)
Followed video for H7 and done fine but cannot get the spade connectors out the H1 bulb to get the Transporter HQ LED H1 I bought to match😣........ Managed it but hope they last forever!! Getting them in before they're fitted is a relief. Wouldn't want to do the H1's whilst on the vehicle🙈. H7's were dead easy👍
Any idea when the H1 LEDs mentioned in the video will be coming out? I’ve ordered the H7’s but don’t really want to remove the headlights twice. Thanks.
Brilliant product & definitely a great improvement. A must is the H7 leds & the up rated Osram H1’s but also coding to make dip stay on with mains. Major point to note (that I missed) is the locator ring on LED’s...finally realised was a muppet & should have paid more careful attention to this vid re the tab fitment going between hinge! 1 I did was right other wrong & quite different until I realised!! 🤔🤦🏻♂️
Idea : Can you make a video on how to remove and replace the lower front grill + lower plastic panels (w/ fog lights) on a t6 ? You already did one for the upper grill. Thanks. Very informative video !
The H1's may never come. We need to do a lot of testing. The output may be too direct. Also it may cause MOT issues as you can clearly see its an LED. We'll do more testing and research when we are back after lockdown
Paul Smith he have them for T5.1. The T6 version on coming in a month. It’s taken longer to sort the canbus warning errors for a T6. Sorted now though.
Hi guys great vid. Fitted these today but the drl doesn’t change always stays the same. Is there anything I need to do to make them work same as in your vid? Thank you t6 v3 headlights
Am I right in thinking that what I describe as the normal headlight is a projector lens and can have an LED but the high beam is a standard reflector and lens so to pass an MOT would need to be a halogen bulb?
@@Saxlicker I ended up fitting the V3 headlights with the LED upgrade. There’s lots of social media posts about the legalities of different types of bulbs, I’m keeping the standard Halogen Bulbs that came with the lamps in my van so they can easily be changed should I need to. I’m just going to put it in for MOT next year and change if needed and then change back to LED afterwards. I’ve driven around for several months now and not once has anyone flashed me so from that I’m guessing they’re not dazzling. They’ve made a massive difference and I don’t regret fitting either the lamps or the LED bulbs. Interestingly I looked at a friend’s brand new mini with LED headlights as standard and that doesn’t have washers which is one reason people give for LEDs not being legal. So mine have LED behind the projector lens and Osram Nightbreakers for the high beam part. It’s also coded to have both bulbs on when high beam is on.
@@dieselbushcraft1299 Thank you for your quick reply @diesel Bushcraft. Great idea! asides which I have just looked up some legality on LED's and actually it says you mustn't modify the halogen headlight unit to take an LED bulb so swapping out to the V3's with the projector lens must almost mitigate the situation (there has been no modification) then your back up plan on top leaves you in a good place...Thanks!
@@Saxlicker a lot of people say that due to the projector lens a tester cannot see the bulb and therefore cannot fail it for being an LED. I guess next year I’ll be testing that theory but as I say if it fails I’ll spend ten minutes putting halogens back in for the test and then put the LEDs back in. If I knew the LEDs were dazzling other drivers then without question I would remove the LEDs.
I have fitted the h7’s and they are great but when going to main beam the light changes from white to ‘orange’ which is off putting. Do you have alternative bulbs for main beam?
Hi, I have just bought a 2020/2021 T6.1 Transporter which came off the production line in Germany with their latest LED lights. I have noticed that my indicator lights do not 'swish like yours do' Should they? Prior to me taking delivery of the van it has been converted into a campervan by a reputable company called Autohaus in |Minehead, Somerset, I'm sure that they would not have done anything to these lights, are the lights in your different ones to mine?
No currently for a T6.1 sorry. I've fitted these in my T6.1 to give them a white colour transporterhq.co.uk/vw-transporter-parts-styling-accessories/vw-t5-t6-headlights/bulbs-accessories/osram-cool-blue-h11/
What is the lifespan of these bulbs and also the drivers in them? I ask as it would be a shame if the leds or the drivers failed a year down the road. I just wonder what the lifespan is on them?
I have V2 in my 5.1 and struggle to see when its dark on dipped beam. Probably my age rather than the lights. Do these new LEDs fit my existing lights and would they help me to see a bit better.
Hi guys I have received the new V3 headlights but haven't fit them yet due to my van being away getting resprayed, I have VCDS and will want to change the coding to have main and dipped work together as above, where will I need to go within VCDS to get this working, if of course you dont mind saying 😉 Thanks in advance
If you need us to fit them, we're booking in for end of jan 2021 at the moment. A local garage could fit them in 30 minutes though. See our How to fit video
Yes we decided to put that on there. Thats what Philips say on theirs. MOT is no issue as they give the correct beam pattern and the bulb is behind the projector. We spent over 2 and a half years making these right. Bright enough to improve you visibility without blinding on coming traffic.

Wow, they really look great!
They look great! When will the white diffuser be back in stock? I need to order 😅
White diffuser have been discontinued apparently. Poor light output I was told
Can you use 2 sets of these H7 LEDs to change the low and high beams of the T6.1?
Black with twin leds is sick looking will be ordering when the h1 comes out

Wow! These headlights with the led bulbs looks so great 😍 but the headlights are only for RHD? Do you think about a LHD Version?
They are for now but you will soon be able to buy them from bus-ok.de
Just bought t6 v3 black edition with H1 led light from HQ but H1 led won't fit the ring too small for the clif

Hello again, we've been talking on email. This is the coding in your vehicle. We can help you put it right when we are back after lockdown.
Hi, I have your V3s with the H1 Osrams, but still show a yellow colour. You mention your H1 LEDs being trialled? Are they available yet?
Hello. H1 LED"s need to be coded. This video explains ruclips.net/video/k18Y5GiBPZQ/видео.html
Will these headlights fit a vw amarok as well?
Great vid guys, are there any plans to manufacture a V3 with black projector housing please ?
No sorry
Can these be fitted to a standard 6.1 headlight unit? Do you offer a fitting service?
Yes they do and are very easy to fit. I couldn't confirm for sure if they'll pass an MOT though as standard T6.1 headlights, don't use a projector
