The archetype was a widely used during the "Jim Crow" era from the late nineteenth century to the early 1960s.
Cause she is a black woman, the southern accent of hers was also referred as the Slave accent. Mammy Twoshoes was also one of the reason why the creators of Tom & Jerry got in trouble for racism.
I never knew about touhou community, but these are excellently made and well animated. I hope this gets more views for all the hard work you put into this.

Scooby do still does some variation of this in the modern day, spongebob will do the occasional slapstick episode, and tom and jerry are still getting new series and new movies to this day. Their latest theatrical adventure is slated to release in the middle of next year, by the way. As for the way political correctness has changed things, nothing is actually being lost besides mammy toe shoes going from a southern US black lady stereotype to being a stereotype of the Irish believe it or not and a few face exploding gags were edited so that someone's blownup face didn't explicitly resemble blackface.
