This is such a class upload 👏
My favourite duo Hughes and McClair, once these two teamed up you just knew that Utd were on the right path.
Great upload guys
Love this era before the Premier League. People forget that Man United came second in 1987/88, then had a bad dip for a few years... 11th is terrible
When we won the fa cup in 1990 I'm sure we finished 12th or 13th
@@damianclarkeed6683 13th, 5 points off being relegated…
man utd is liverpools boss always
when football was enjoyable
As a liverpool fan watch all liverpool ones just looking at your lot now lol
Newcastle have always had great support!! What a load of shite. Biggest myth in football.
It is overrated, back then certainly. I do remember them bringing a huge following to Old Trafford in 1984/85 though. That was probably due to them being back in the first division though. This season they were terrible.
Multimillion pound signings😂 That would be considered a bargain today!
sensible transfer fees , sensible wages , now look at it 😢
How bad was Jim Leighton??
84-88 is considered Leighton at his peak, and actually Man United had the second best defensive record that season (only 2nd placed Liverpool had a better record that United that season) the major issue was scoring, Hughes and McClair had a great scoring run up to Christmas, then both had dry run after that almost through until the end of the season, and that was a major issue right across 88-89 and 89-90, Man United just could not get a consistent run going of Hughes and McClair going, and would have runs of 1-0/2-1 defeats.
Why couldn't Fenwick have taken that penalty v Man Utd? We'd have won that. COYS
