A Course in Miracles. If anyone resonates with this, the course is as if… it is full circle, reflecting its wisdom, expanding it and extending it… the course and advaita. Though… so far, I have not heard any guru as Nisargadatta reflect this that is in the course with as much clarity, and vice versa.
It is all connected and one for the moment you start ripening into the awareness of This. Thank you 🙏🏽
Right before I happened upon your comment, I was just thinking how much I have been guided in the last 18 months by both Nisargadatta and ACIM and how each teaching verifies the other. A kind recommendation:
If one has affinity for Nisargadatta's teachings, stick with his teachings.
If one finds affinity towards Bhagavan Ramana Marharshi's teachings, stick to his teachings.
Just do not mix them.
The same words are used to mean different things by each and it will cause unneeded difficulty to follow the teachings of both.
Ramana Maharshi seems to be either extremely difficult/impossible to grasp, or ridiculously simple and easy, depending upon temperament and mental tendencies.
The same for Nisargadatta.
Bhagavan showed the way for the seeker of realization that was once thought to be "me", to cease to exist, revealing only pure Consciousness, pure Being.
Nisargadatta uses the term "consciousness" to mean "ego".
Bhagavan uses the word "Consciousness", to mean Brahman, God, Infinite Being.
So dip the toes in both...
then dive in to one or the other.
Whichever one seems easiest, best, most easily grasped, go that route.
They both lead to the same place 💖
I've been reading Nisargadatta books on and off for twenty years and I missed the bit where he used the word "consciousness" to refer to ego.

Yeah... It kind of threw me off because Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi's teachings were known first.
Because to this mind, Consciousness is a synonym for Self, God, Brahman.
If one does not make this delineation, then Nisargadatta and Bhagavan Ramnana will seem to directly contradict each other.

to surrender to the sadguru is to give up body Consciousness
Didn't consciousness realize itself with the Buddha? After that, why are we still here?
That realization by consciousness was lost with Buddha but reappears in other great sages..so man as an organism has to evolve (like the climax of movie Space Odyssey or the Aliens in "Taken" series if you have seen them). Everything that seems to appear and disappear with time is actually present in the Vigyan/ supermind/ math-like world. Post human consciousness will be able to reach that state and then each new human will have it.
This is all very true
He was near to awakening, but not there. Only Jesus got there.
