Some comments made by the creator of the group, apparently, were taken as anti-Korean. They see him saying "why should we lose to Koreans?" as hypocritical and anti-Korean considering he marketed XG by using his connections with YG, trained them similar to a Kpop group, used Kep1er's Hikaru's involvement and eventual joining of the group in articles, and promotes them on Korean music shows. XG does have a fandom in Korea. The creator just upset nationalists, and that's killing their momentum. XG should promote more as an international pop group in countries like the US, UK, Brazil, etc, (and build more of a fandom in Japan too) imo. They don't need Korea to thrive.
