    You do not need a gym membership as watching you made me tired
    When families like with issues do not or would not hesitate most always so that sharing is not caring. I think my mom tossed my wedding album due a money issue as I found out she tore up my phone number and never again spoke to me and she is dead. Yup being selfish has its rewards over family papers being shared. We got a foot of snow over night so this winter here in alaska we have set the record 100 plus inches along with record cold. 😊😊😊😊

    Most people don’t have access to these pallets. To have something like this shipped it could make each pallet cost 500$. This only works if you have connections and most of those are already taken. This is why new sellers are having it so hard

    • @goldenstatepicker
      @goldenstatepicker  8 месяцев назад +1

      I had the same issues starting out. You just have to keep looking for places that will work with you. All the best.

      Ok. I’m mainly speaking on behalf of the new people that think this is super easy. They will assume pallets exist in every dark alley. Which is simply untrue. They will be picked apart by the vultures online that claim to sell pallets of useful inventory when it’s not. I’ve been down this route and learned the hard way. Fortunately for me I make a 6 figure salary here in the bay area working in surgery. And do this part time. It’s unfortunate for the people that think this will make them a living. Not these days. People will learn the hard way.

    I loved watching this but as someone who would like to one day write books, this is very discouraging! LOL! I can't imagine my book landing in one of those bins. I know it's what happens but I can't image working so hard on a book and it end up in a bin. Thank You for showing us your process.

      Have you thought of writing magazine articles? They aren't usually big money, but I've written a few things for women's magazines that will take me maybe 5 minutes to write and will bring in $25-$50. Hmmm, I need to get back into that.

      I have written for many publications within my profession (professional genealogist and professional archivist) but these types of publications don't usually pay for articles. I would love to get paid for writing. I write about family history, researching in archives and preserving your family records and heirlooms. How does one go about writing for women's magazines? Thanks for the tip!@@dechinta

    To "No goods" torn them apart and pit them in the paper recycling bin otherwise some other looser will loose time going thru the gutter.
    Hardback you need just to remove the boards as it has cloth.
    I do that all the time when I've got dead trees

    That is a mono Miles Davis you've got there - Columbia CL949. If it is 6-eye in decent condition, it might be forth $50 or $100. If it can be called VG+, then $150 or $200.

    Hi Mike.May I ask what you set your triggers at or can you direct me to a video you have maybe that explains this?Mine says the books are green but when I get them home and listed it basically says I am selling them to give away after shipping and FBA costs.

      First off thanks for replying Mike.I have Scoutly Mike as apparently Scoutiq doesn't work here in Canada but apparently they are really simular.I have it set at around $3 as that is mostly the average price I have paid.After buying because it was green I list it, send in as I see what it is selling on Amazon at a profit.I understand I want to make a few dollars as I am starting out until I figure it out better but it seems once its listed it seems to drop.I know I have alot to learn I get that and your rideos help alot like yesterday you had told me what book club meant.Sorry for the long explanation but I was just curious what and if I have my triggers set up right.Thanks again Mike. @@goldenstatepicker

    There are Ephemera buyers who would love those albums and family items.

  • @dmreddragon6
    @dmreddragon6 8 месяцев назад +1

    From someone who lives in a hotter climate, still having the shrink wrap on the albums protects the covers, but will often lead to warped vinyl. This is why most collectors buy the plastic sleeves post market. They fit looser, while still protecting the cover.
    I know that you're in this for the money, BUT if you need the write off, or just want to do something good, there are so many places (mostly institutions like psych wards, prisons...) that could really use these, especially bibles.

      Most require a cleaning of the cover, maybe a hardback will require some flattening. The cover may have permanent marker. Little things. Some are beyond my expertise of help.
