Found a metallic red at our local tru today. Hopefully they release all here. But it's freakin double the price! Ugh. The toy pains of living outside the US.
The metallic shinyness reminds me of how the spandex looked in the show. I wish they'd do a full team box set like how they did with the new movie Megazord.
I hope they will include both the weapons and the BAF (or just the weapons only), otherwise we would be ripped off again by buying another set of the same figures just like the MMPR wave.
Found all of them at Meijer, only bought red so far. I wish they would do an exclusive Yellow ranger in the male body so we could have proper Zyuranger for the people like me who can't afford the Figuarts.
I'm actually very happy that bandai did this because the original releases were not released here in the Philippines we only got the legacy movie figures and these were just recently released here at sm. Oh and the weapons are better than having megazord parts
You know, you bring up (incidentally) something of an interesting point...show accuracy of toys when the show ITSELF wasn't really careful with matching things. Billy's Power Lance clearly gets WAY shorter when split and placed on the Power Blaster. So I can see toymakers debating whether to make a short Lance that can split in half and look good combined, or a long one that looks good as a solo weapon but doesn't combine. Of course, I think the "Why not both?" answer is giving him a staff with Lance ends, so you can pop those off and put them on the Blaster. Remember, this is the show where one of the Megazord's hands got REALLY REALLY TINY when it went to pick up the Power Sword.
Those figures look pretty in metallic and I agree Billy's metallic blue looks cool also I think Adam first used the power axe in the Once a Ranger episodes in Operation Overdrive
I'm definitely going after these. I didn't get the first release of these figures since I already have a set of SH Figuarts MMPR figures. Since I didn't get the first release of these figures, they'd fit perfectly in my collection since the metallic legacy figures could represent the rangers of the third season when they got the metallic armor. I hope they make a green and white metallic legacy figure as well.
Good to hear Rita will be sold eventually. As much as I want her I can understand why most people aren't champing at the bit to buy ten figures they probably own already just for some new weapons.
People seem to forget that the metallic look to the Rangers is actually something from MMPR, unintentional as it may be. Anyone remember the metallic armor story arc from season 3? These could easily be seen or used as the Rangers in their metallic armor. Besides, if people are that desperate for weapons for their Legacy MMPR ranger figures, just buy the Imaginext figures and use those weapons. That's what I did. They fit with the 6 inch scale Legacy Rangers and they can combine together into the Power Blaster. Plus those Imaginext figures aren't very expensive.
Part of me still wishes that if permissions and stuff could be sorted, that we could see some Pre-Zyuranger and unused Sentai teams get the Legacy Figure treatment, of course, I know not everyone would be happy seeing a muscly Akaranger when he doesn't look like that.
I sure hope the Legacy Dino Megazord is released next year. I missed out on him twice. The closest Toys R Us is 20 miles from me, and I had no idea he was in stores. I spent WAY too much on the Legacy Dragonzord off of the secondary marker, and I would love to have the Dino Megazord to play with.
I'm subbed. Love the channel. My thought for a barcode pic is that it can be scanned by the red price scanners that are for customers to use. Scanning the barcode pic will proved the correct DCPI numbers. The actual numbers you've put don't help because they can't be typed into the target computers or they can but nothing will come up. But taking a pic into store and holding up to scanner will work. Not trying to be a pain. If your busy with video production which I'm sure you are, no big deal on the pic then. Keep up the great work
I'd say the problem with the waves is unsold inventory. In certain states of the US the inventory left of say Pink MMPR and Yellow In Space is so high that stores like Target and Walmart aren't stocking Wave 3 and probably this this midwave. In California, it took a bit but Wave 3 got nice and stocked up all over. Here in Chicago no inventory. Though I think now they got the MMPR portions but of course with the Wave 2 inventory they aren't stocking it. I seriously ordered the finally stocked item from Walmart and Fedex lost the bloody package. It's like some force is against me on this. At to these guys, still would prefer a weapons pack. I resorted to 3d printing some weapons. I might get some high quality ones made though. The issue is the hands just aren't built well to accept weapons unless they slide in.
I can agree with if you see the rangers you want in store buy them. I remember seeing In Space Blue, Black and Pink at my Gamestop but I waited too long to get them and were gone the next time I went into the Gamestop.

Just picked up all of these for $10 a piece on clearance. Told myself I'm not gonna start collecting Rangers then these were on sale and I had to. I actually did open these and I'm not sure why but I did lol.
MMPRToys Yeah! I mean I haven't bought any of the Legacy Mighty Morphin Figures, being as I can't find them at any local stores, within walking distance in my Area. But what makes these Figures better, is the fact that they come with their signature Weapons, and not just their Blade Blasters.
SDCC version red ranger hasn't got the T. rex teeth in the helmet painted in if I remembered correctly. Metallic red release seems to have the silver teeth on helmet painted in.

Kinda want SPD Legacy stuff after the recent Dekaranger cameo in Kyuranger. IDK, I think it had something to do with the anniversary of Space Sheriff or something.
I will personally go to my store and buy these when I find them. Most people have argued that these recolors are pretty pointless but if you remember from I believe season 3 of MMPR the rangers did obtain a metallic armor so this makes perfect sense to me. Love the vids, keep doing a great job.

If this was the first time release of these figures it would be cool, but since I have the first wave...it's underwhelming to say the least, I say get the then and now wave with the weapons...they combine.
Man, are people still complaining they didn't get the legacy megazord? I hate to say if but if it gets a 3rd release I'm done.... Some people need to learn to bite the bullet they had ample time to get the megazord they missed out spend your time looking through the after market and hope you get lucky. I'm not referring to those who just recently got into collecting but those who wait and wait for the "super low OMG you'll never see another price like this deal!" How many people complained Titanus and T-Megazord were to much and waited and waited for the low price (what was the lowest for Titanus's like $100-125, I believe T-megazord was like $80 on last years Amazon X-mas rush sale?) and still did not get them. Look at all the work that goes into producing these zords, they create new molds and paint every little detail.... Yes I know some fans want the show accurate highly detail for the price of a dollar store figure, but they need to realize its not going to happen, to get nice things sometimes you need to save up shell out the cash. Sorry just want to get past the MMPR lines in the Legacy (well unless they do a Ninjor, he needs a better figure) without anymore more rereleases. The weapons and MMPR figures I am annoyed about (they shouldn't have done the translucent plastic/paint) but I will reluctantly get them to have the weapons. I think Ranger in Reverse were Zedd turned them into kids when they fought Goldar Oysteriser Flytrap and Dramamaul is when Adam first used the Power Axe
I don't like to complain, because this is cool and great for those that missed some of these guys the first time around, but couldn't they throw the power sword in with Red? My Build a Figure Megazord needs one! A Marvel Legends Thor figure from 2014 came with a pretty cool looking sword that doesn't look much like Megazord's but is the right scale and size. I've been using that for display and it's fine... but the Mastodon Shield and actual Power Sword would have been so cool.
Adam used the battle Axe in Once a Ranger and Jake Holling in Samurai Surprise. I'm still looking for a Megazord and the Ninja Megazord for my White Ranger Falcon to dock into

Those figures look amazing obviously, I just wish they looked actually a little more metallic than transparent (Idk, maybe they look more metallic in person?) so I can at least justify them as the Metallic Armor from season 3 but I still need to find In Space Pink, Blue, & Black first & I wanted to get the 6 Movie figures but now I might have to choose between those and these "new" metallics because I do really want those dang weapons lol (but lets be honest I'll probably try & buy all of them outting myself $220 even though I really don't have the money right now but I have to find & get them now or probably never find them again & I'm already behind w/ the Movie figures). And I know that we're in this mess because of cost & it's either between weapons or a B.A.M. piece but it would have been neat if these metallic figures came with the Thunder Megazord or Ninja (Falcon) Megazord pieces to make them more "new" & justifiable to re-buy all the same figures over again. But why can't they just realise the weapons for a season with their 6th ranger like if this is becoming such a problem just let the 6th rangers cost like $25 (or whatever it would be I mean how much are these little weapons costing?) opposed to the main rangers being $20. The 6th rangers are more "special" anyways like I would gladly pay an extra $5 for like In Space Silver to come with the weapons for all 6 In Space rangers than having to pay $100+ getting all the same figures over again.
It's weapons or BAF. The reason the first wave doesn't have the weapons is due to the BAF. They can't meet the price point they need to with both, unfortunately.
hmm... So is this going to keep happening with each wave? I feel like the BAF parts are already tooled from the previous release... how much do they cost to include at that point. Oh well... any word on Shiny Tommy? He's everyone's favorite ya know.

Hell they could charge $10 for it and most of us would scoop it up in a heartbeat, but I'm not going to spend $20-50(a lot of these you can't find anywhere locally in store and they go for a premium on Amazon, etc.) a figure just to get some weapons. Otherwise these aren't bad. One off topic question, where did you get your stands for your figures?
to be honest since none of this metallic figures have MegaZord piece, Bandai would have just release them in the same old solid paint as Wave 1-2-3 with the weapons.
I guess it's a good thing I only have Yellow and Pink from Mighty Morphin I think I'll have to get the metallic team and figure out what to do with the Megazord arm and leg I have
+MMPRtoys They should do a deluxe version (like they did in the 90s) but bit bigger not to big and improve on the paint job so that we can get a whole set of the rangers weapons, plus it has to combine. From the looks of the figures themselves I like them too I love the shine on the figures :)
Is the red metallic ranger built like Black/Blue rangers? I know with Wave 2 they got better arms that ratcheted better in comparison to wave 1. Does it come off as wave 1 style arms or wave 2? My red ranger is sorta loose now. Ninjastorm red is pretty loose as well.

That's very confusing... Thunderzords never left TRU. They're still available, and I posted links to the set when it was $66 around Christmas. If you want it, jump on it before it's $1,000. No, they're not going to retool and re-release that any time soon. The only other option is Japan's upcoming release which is the original version, but instead of stickers, it's now painted. More expensive than Legacy though...
MMPRtoys I would have gladly taken the weapons over the baf, it's not a very good figure anyway. his legs pop off real easy and he feels light weight cheap. I don't see why everyone is trying defend bandai tripping up and falling on their face. this was just stupid. and me personally, I don't like that these new ones are shiny.
These figures look good but why does Bandai always give there figures to much muscle mass. These later figures have slimmed down but still have those killer abs and biceps lol. I love how Hasbro went the realistic route and actually made them look like they have some kind of battle suits on.

Besides Billy there was a total of two of each Ranger, so I like the chance to have extras. The weapons are fantastic even if they don't combine.

Finding Red was a chore. I also got Black, not sure if I wanna hunt for Blue or complete the set. The sword on red is a bit too soft too.
i think they should make any future figures with a second weapon one for each ranger to use and one to combined to make the finishing weapon.

I think Ranger in Reverse were Zedd turned them into kids when they fought Goldar Oysteriser Flytrap and Dramamaul is when Adam first used the Power Axe
I don't like to complain, because this is cool and great for those that missed some of these guys the first time around, but couldn't they throw the power sword in with Red? My Build a Figure Megazord needs one!
A Marvel Legends Thor figure from 2014 came with a pretty cool looking sword that doesn't look much like Megazord's but is the right scale and size. I've been using that for display and it's fine... but the Mastodon Shield and actual Power Sword would have been so cool.
Adam used the battle Axe in Once a Ranger and Jake Holling in Samurai Surprise.
I'm still looking for a Megazord and the Ninja Megazord for my White Ranger Falcon to dock into
gosh... I wish I had the time to look at all of the time with rock Adam and aisha to find the episode
hope these are easily available but sell like wild fire. I prefer weapons way more than the build a zord. Combining weapons will just be icing.

Why do I have the feeling that it's 'Once a Ranger' part 1, only because Adam didn't really use the Power Axe (?) in the season that he debuted?

If you post a pic of the barcode it can be scanned by one of the barcode scanners in store and that will provide the correct DCPI number
Those figures look amazing obviously, I just wish they looked actually a little more metallic than transparent (Idk, maybe they look more metallic in person?) so I can at least justify them as the Metallic Armor from season 3 but I still need to find In Space Pink, Blue, & Black first & I wanted to get the 6 Movie figures but now I might have to choose between those and these "new" metallics because I do really want those dang weapons lol (but lets be honest I'll probably try & buy all of them outting myself $220 even though I really don't have the money right now but I have to find & get them now or probably never find them again & I'm already behind w/ the Movie figures). And I know that we're in this mess because of cost & it's either between weapons or a B.A.M. piece but it would have been neat if these metallic figures came with the Thunder Megazord or Ninja (Falcon) Megazord pieces to make them more "new" & justifiable to re-buy all the same figures over again. But why can't they just realise the weapons for a season with their 6th ranger like if this is becoming such a problem just let the 6th rangers cost like $25 (or whatever it would be I mean how much are these little weapons costing?) opposed to the main rangers being $20. The 6th rangers are more "special" anyways like I would gladly pay an extra $5 for like In Space Silver to come with the weapons for all 6 In Space rangers than having to pay $100+ getting all the same figures over again.

No build a figure parts in the metallic wave?
It's weapons or BAF. The reason the first wave doesn't have the weapons is due to the BAF. They can't meet the price point they need to with both, unfortunately.
hmm... So is this going to keep happening with each wave? I feel like the BAF parts are already tooled from the previous release... how much do they cost to include at that point. Oh well... any word on Shiny Tommy? He's everyone's favorite ya know.
I really REALLY REALLY have that this is the only way to get the weapons. And the weapons being translucent make them... eh, I think these will be the first legacy figures I skip.
The metallic finish looks cool, but I'll pass on these as I already have all these figures. I think it's a bit BS they didn't release a weapons pack for the originals. Hell they could charge $10 for it and most of us would scoop it up in a heartbeat, but I'm not going to spend $20-50(a lot of these you can't find anywhere locally in store and they go for a premium on Amazon, etc.) a figure just to get some weapons. Otherwise these aren't bad.
One off topic question, where did you get your stands for your figures?

to be honest since none of this metallic figures have MegaZord piece, Bandai would have just release them in the same old solid paint as Wave 1-2-3 with the weapons.
Would have been a harder sell as then you'd have the exact same toy but with a plastic weapon.

Pretty sure it was in once a ranger part 1. They didn't really use the weapons after the power transfer/ American footage
So far the only place I've been able to find them for purchase have been U.K. toy sites but the shipping to the US is really high.

+MMPRtoys They should do a deluxe version (like they did in the 90s) but bit bigger not to big and improve on the paint job so that we can get a whole set of the rangers weapons, plus it has to combine. From the looks of the figures themselves I like them too I love the shine on the figures :)

Is the red metallic ranger built like Black/Blue rangers?
I know with Wave 2 they got better arms that ratcheted better in comparison to wave 1. Does it come off as wave 1 style arms or wave 2?
My red ranger is sorta loose now. Ninjastorm red is pretty loose as well.

I can't find the figures anywhere and I look at every store for months and I found any metallic figures at any target what so ever.

on the subject of re-issuing or re-releasing previously released Legacy items, still hoping for a re-release of the Thunderzords at, hopefully, a better price than $200
That's very confusing... Thunderzords never left TRU. They're still available, and I posted links to the set when it was $66 around Christmas. If you want it, jump on it before it's $1,000. No, they're not going to retool and re-release that any time soon. The only other option is Japan's upcoming release which is the original version, but instead of stickers, it's now painted. More expensive than Legacy though...

MMPRtoys I would have gladly taken the weapons over the baf, it's not a very good figure anyway. his legs pop off real easy and he feels light weight cheap. I don't see why everyone is trying defend bandai tripping up and falling on their face. this was just stupid.
and me personally, I don't like that these new ones are shiny.

These figures look good but why does Bandai always give there figures to much muscle mass. These later figures have slimmed down but still have those killer abs and biceps lol. I love how Hasbro went the realistic route and actually made them look like they have some kind of battle suits on.
