My Question Is Do Mothers With Anorexia Nervosa Have Children Born With Autism and Asperger's Syndrome. Reason Why I Am Asking Is Because I Have Autism and Asperger's Syndrome and My Mother In Her Teens, 20's and 30's Had Anorexia Nervosa. According To A Recent Study By The Spectrum News Organization It Said It Was 80 Percent True and They Think All Mothers With Anorexia Have Children With Autism & Asperger Syndrome
At present we do not know how exactly autism is caused. It is combination of various factors such as genetics, neurodevelopmental factors and environment have been attributed to the development of autism. However, few researchers believe that autism is a neurodiverse population (a normal variation of the heterogeneous population)
Good question. Children with autism can have any range of IQ. Only 25-30% have intellectual disability and remaining will have normal IQ and few of them (1%) may have gifted IQ (splinter skills) Splinter skills in autism are unique abilities or talents often exceptional in people with autism but not necessarily related to other areas of their life. Example arithmetic abilities
