Go watch the original, I did about 3 years ago again, for the first time in years. It's amazing the message it carries and how depressing it can be. This, just like the remakes of the lion king, beauty and the beast and the jungle book is going to spend 2 or 3 hours reminding me of a better movie. I really really wish disney would grow a pair and make a original hand-drawn cartoon movie. I know the art is basically lost at this stage but it could be done.
You do know these live action movies dont have to be "better", to exist or to give joy to others. If you dont like them that is your choice, but a lot of people enjoy the live actions the same, way a lot of people enjoy the 2D versions. Nothing inherently wrong with either.

I have and will always believe that no matter race or anything the role should be given to the person with the best audition and who can truly do what the job is asking for and this applies to any role where race is important to the overall storyline or if it's based off a real individual. whether this is woke or want not I know that the lady playing the fairy is a talented actress and singer and is gonna kill it in this role and and we need to wait for the final product to truly judge anything on this film.

This is just creepy. Woke, yes, but creepy first and foremost. They try too hard to make the CGI look like a cartoon, but there's live action elements as well, and they don't really mesh very well.
The part where the black fairy godmother swooped in and said 'what you want peckerwood' I nearly died laughing, this is the best comedy of the year 10/10 watching it 15 times in theatre

I thought the same thing until I saw the damn goldfish. I have my hopes cautiously up just because Spielberg did a remake of West Side Story, which was also essentially the same story, and this is basically the same era as the guy and directed Back To The Future, so he’s hopefully got to have a little more freedom on his end to do something original and not super Disney-fied.

I like how the 3D animation design looks close to the original 2D animation design. Something Lion King could have learned from.

I'm offended Pinocchio isn't made of a darker piece of wood.... I mean if all the other characters in this film look different than the original, why does Pinocchio get a pass?
I wonder if the kids’ll smoke in this one… this movie brings back a flood of memories. Can’t wait to see it.
