I have an unpainted High Elf army from 2010 made mainly of the contents of the Island of Blood box. I will slowly paint them while listening to the upcoming videos. Sure there are more highly touted creators out there that deal with the Old World, but it it always good to get in on the ground floor with new talent.

Thanks for your support, that means a lot! Genuinely. There are big plans for the channel going forward with improvements planned everywhere, so hopefully your faith is rewarded 😁
High elves are awesome. Robin is doing a high elf army and it’s making me jealous 😂

Yeah. I came to WHF from historical board games. I liked the mix of fantasy with an historical feel. The lore was great. Being a big Tolkien fan, the magic level was just right. The races were familiar. Just punched all the buttons.

I played the old Warhammer Fantasy only a bit, so I'm not incredibly excited for The Old World. I will undoubtedly buy into it, but I can wait a while before I start making purchases. I like hearing about the new game though.

Thanks for watching! It's probably a good thing you haven't been caught up in the hype - a lot of people have missed out on stuff! You can make a more considered decision and buy in when there is easy access :)

@@TabletopSaga I do feel the nostalgia of it. Like you, I can remember those old White Dwarf articles. I was just thinking about those first "Tale of Four Gamers" series a few weeks ago. Adrian Wood is pretty much the sole reason for my buying into Orks for 40K and eventually collecting a massive army. I always wondered what happened to that guy.

That’s a blast from the past - both the article series and the name Adrian Wood!
