I prefer futures personally, but I feel you. If you manage to get funded and get a payout, you'll most likely be in the green even if you blow that account further down the line.
At least the personal risk is mitigated with the prop firm model, as if you can't pass the challenges, odds are you'd lose more trading your own personal funds. Trust me, I've been there - I'm down a lot, hoping to claw my way out of the hole a little at a time. Would've passed my first challenge last week, but overtraded and lost. Made it back today though, couple more green days and I should make it. (If I do get funded, I'm reducing my risk and avg position size for sure. A bit reckless scalping my way to the profit target lol)
Hopefully in the long term you can find a job you enjoy more though. It's good to know I have a consistent source of income, so even if I don't become a great trader I'll earn it back eventually through salary and investments.
You can do it! Hold on to that hope and give it a 100% effort and it will come
Be careful trading in emotional state make sure you size down. If you trade futures and have a good trade plan you can turn over $3000 usd per month with good risk and 3k to start. Only risking 3 micros. Risk greatly effects your trading our come, you could have a very profitable strategy but if your strategy has multiple losses and just a tad bit to much risk it will look unprofitable. You even have to take into consideration the small things. Like moving up stop to break even or trailing, with some strategys this can even make them preform poorly even when win rate goes up (this is over a long period of time) take statistics and make a robust trading plan that is tested and proven to yourself

In shaa Allah. Keep at it, but try not to spend a lot of money on challenges or deposit a lot of money until you have a proven edge. You can trade with small size to increase your edge. Only learn from verified traders. Everyone has an opinion online, twitter, IG etc. do your research and ensure they have some sort of 3rd party verification. Other than that, it will take time and work. Focus on developing an Edge in the market. This will increase the possibility of success.

Great in depth interview. FYI at 1:20:20 there is a glitch with the audio and video for 20 seconds. Another at 1:26:21 for 10 sec and then till the end it has no video/audio.

What was your favorite part about the podcast?
for one it flowed great, but when he was speaking about removing his SL and how that affected him that’s literally what i’m struggling with rn and also about losing less and how we can be impatient in profit but just let it go forever in drawdown (guilty) he was hitting the nail on the head with those for me but it was great to just hear his story as i didn’t know much about him before

do you play any sports? video games? Ever play from behind? Nothing changes you just keep taking shots that you're confident in.
tilt is a sign that you're actually performing poorly. Tilt is a result of poor performance so ...fix the dumb mistakes youre making and you'll stop tilting

I really like Raja Banks, im a trader over two decades now. I use to trade for "Beer Money" went over loads of periods and trading styles... I trade mostly ICT Setups now, with my twist. Raja can give things A to B simple and to the point, that is good in this business, search your path youngsters, no matter your trading style.

QUESTION IS--If trader was trading forex pair to hold for average duration of 3 days what time frame should be used for TREND DIRECTION?--IS IT 4 H CHART? Traders biggest enemy is trend flipping on A dime(e.g. 1H/lower times frame trend).Trend on 4H chart may be the best trend guide for majority of forex traders.. By the time trader confirms that trend on daily chart is up, market has already gone up about 5-7 days & if you ask supercomputer for the mathematical odds, computer tells you that odds are negative right from the start.Trend based on the last 10--15,four H candles has enough big players/juice/force behind it so that it would not flip on A dime, so trader has decent chance to make something without buying overpriced asset to lose again. Your wisdom please.?
guys, which broker would you recommend in Canada?
I don't get this: "if Wednesday rolls around and I’ know I’ve made profits Monday, Tuesday, then I’m going to let my trades run…that’s my rule…Thursday I’m going to let my trades run…but if I’m loading up on Wed or Thurs, I’m 100% guaranteeing myself that I’m going to manage my risk…let’s say I risk 1% Monday and 1% Tuesday and now…now if I’m loading up 5% on Wednesday…I have to be sure that I’m not losing profits from Monday and Tuesday…so I’m very strict on my risk management." How can you avoid risking Monday and Tuesday profits if you're risking 5% on Wednesday? This doesn't make sense to me. I'm missing something key here. Please help explain.
