There's a ton of ways of doing it. They have natural HP regeneration, so the most basic way of doing so is commanding them to stay in a room and close them there, so they are relatively safe from enemies and our regenerating Health naturally. After you have certain level of leadership you can command them to sleep. Which is basically the same thing as the previous method but much more effective. I think you can only do this once per dungeon level though. There's also the Spells. Any healing spell is casted on an area around the player. You have the healing spell that he was a certain amount of Health. And trolls blood spell which increases the natural HP regeneration by a lot by a short time. You can also throw potions at the NPCs to heal them. You can use potion of healing, fruit juice or booze. Keep in mind booze will make them drunk lol. There's a very in-depth guide on Steam to get good with followers on Barony I'll leave the link here. Playing with a leadership style is really awesome. You got to do everything to make all your followers survive and level up a lot though, and gear them up with awesome armor and rings and Etc steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2229170418

Very nice, can you also become a demon if you use the polymorph scroll as a human or doyou just become one of the playable races
From my experience only playable races, I used polymorph a couple of times. But I might be wrong D:

does polymorph have a time limit on summons?
nope! my friend uses a strat where he spams polymorphs until he gets a kobold for their magic resistance

You need to be a monster race from the DLCs to start with a polymorph
