one time I was out walkin, car drove by and kid stuck his head out the back window like "Hey are you Damien?" I said no and they zoomed away. Turns out Damien was the town dealer but he caught now

One of the things that is most impressive about you, besides the boatload of talent you obviously have, is the fact that everyone in your crew is also really, really good. I don't know if you've attracted good people, or built them all up, but your friends are all fucking great. Keep that crew together as you get big- it's a thing.
and if you guys ever split up, or you hurt one another somehow, don't be afraid to apologize and fix things before they get too bad. a friendship, a life can be ruined far quicker than the countless events that led up to that moment. before you know it that group of friends can turn into years of just you by yourself. and it gets dark, real quick.

Tbh, I read it more as them being in a cult where Damien is the leader - traumatized by having a stupid name he creates a group where he lures in troubled people. Urging them to shed their past identity and to become their "real selves". 😄
