That was the point in my opinion. Red Ash was the final defiant battle for humanity's hold on the surface. Over zone is what happens after. The desperate, damned defence for a sanctuary of a defeated people.

After reading the story cutscenes I can only play this event with Dorothy, Snow White, Rapunzel, Scarlet and Product 23. There is no other way. The plot's immersion and impact are too good.
Holy shit, the scenes with Dorothy at the end broke me... Whoever wrote this chapter deserves an accolade. And the music, especially THIS ONE? Masterful.
I think the event helps a lot that the Ark is in parade mode at the time when you visit your outpost, as the contrast is striking between the event locations. The music cuts deeper than if you were just in muted silence mode. I mute a lot of games I play, but this one continues to impress. Thank you Cosmopgragh for making this more than spend 15 mins on dailies choir game.
Dude, I started this game just last Monday. 8 days from now I went from crying for Marian, to crying for Pinne and Dorothy's whole past (I can't stop crying going back to the event and seeing Dorothy by herself while Satellites plays in the background). And then that side quest with the 7 years old kid with a brain tumor wanting to see the surface's sky before his surgery. ... JUST F*CKING KlLL ME ALREADY. I CAN'T DEAL WITH THIS MUCH DEPRESSION ANYMORE!!!
My new favorite event so far, it takes the already depressive feeling of Nikke to a new level, theres something about this kind of stories I love to see, maybe I just like to cry to the characters and their challenges, idk
I could feel the sincerity of Goddess Squad in this song. Even if it's a story in the game, I'm so sorry to you as a human being and as the commander of the game. Goddess Squad, I'm really, really sorry.
After seeing their past, I can hardly hate Dorothy and her neutral position on humanity to straight up hating them. Especially when you do Rapi's bond story and see not only people keep seeing Nikkes as mass produced weapons meant to be used and abused in the battlefield and eventually be discarded... but the fact Nikkephobes exist and straight up hate the idea of a romantic relationship between a human and a Nikke... yeah, maybe Dorothy isn't so wrong after all. Sure, not all humans are like that, but for what it's worth, after all the pain she endured, she's justified to have a hate boner for them.
If you do Dorothy's bond stories you'll feel even worse. She wants to believe in humanity again but can't because of what she experienced. Playing her bond story almost made me tear up, especially near the end

It broke me when Dorothy tried to keep Pinne alive via hallucination/delusion. It broke what was left when she realized the truth, all alone, with nobody around to help her pick herself up. Humanity had no reason to really betray Goddess Squad, either. If it was about being unable to seal the Ark, it's literally as simple as using the elevator to bring them down before using a set of disposable drones to detonate the elevator. How much of this world is more difficult than it needed to be? Just the fact that Nikkes are treated as tools and not enhanced humans is absurd! Who WOULDN'T want to be a Nikke, even if they don't intend on fighting?! Of course Dorothy snapped! She was given every reason to! It was either that or be the wind-up-toy she was intended to be.

Last lilith could be still alive seeing how the way she gone is exacly 100% like marian (being shoot in the head when almost got corrupted and its body left alone there), so she could be one of top heretic even the heretic leader herself aka the queen.
About Rapi and Redhood, I guess Redhood is been locked inside Rapi. From what I know, Redhood really hate Ark, and want to destroy Ark (But after looking what happened to Dorothy in this Event, I can understand why). At least Ingrid knows about this (or is she the one who locked Redhood inside Rapi?). Well, the story becomes more interesting.

It's probably been said multiple times, but in my honest opinion, the Over Zone event was the point where Nikke went from a good game, to a great one.
