For my family, my daughter has a sleepover at her aunties house. Then I cook something special and Im trying out a new chocolate dessert this year. (I don't know if I can say this but)Il be wearing lingerie and stockings with a robe to match.
As for the question you asked I really like the pink flower mug and I think you should keep it out.
I really like the red rose towel because of the fringe on the boarder it's so cute.
I don’t really have any valentines traditions. I love the red and pink towels and the butterfly cup looks great.

The vase is perfect the way you painted it. Love it. Just enough gold accent , i think if you would of went all the way up you would of redone it. No tradition here at all. My husband thinks whens hes 72 and im 69 we dont need to do anymore Valentine stuff. Go figure a man!! -right. I love to decorate.for any holiday cause of my grandkids, their mom nor the other grandparents dont decorate for anything. They aren't going to spend foolisly some money they dont have on decorations. I just thought maybe they said that to be able to get the kids better valentine gifts, but i guess not. Instead mom went and got the 4 kids new shoes and she just got them some last week and week before. Now she is buying more. If she would just make them put shoes in rack or in room it would be better. Have s good one.
If you like rose smell you could put a drop in center of your roses

I give my kids and my grandkids little bags with goodies. We also exchange gifts at work. It's a lot of fun. Nothing over the top. Just to let them know they're appreciated. I'm taking my husband to The Melting Pot. You get a 5 course meal where u get to dip different breads, fruits etc into different melted cheeses. They just keep bringing you course after course. It's a lot of fun. I'm having them set up a private table with rose petals and all of the things. He deserves it. 😊

I really like the vase you painted and then put the gold on it, I really liked how you didn’t take the paint all the way up it turned out gorgeous to me.... I liked all the Valentine’s hand towels they were pretty as well...
I’ll be praying for your Dad, my husband has a lung disease and to be his age and have that it’s so heart breaking when you’ve seen a man always full of life and doing all the things! He still works and still plays with the grandchildren like nothings wrong but pays for it later but he wouldn’t have it any other way.. He has black lung and when we were trying to find out what was going on because he was having sharp pains in his chest but it actually was his lung. It’s crazy he was seeing a heart specialist and ran all these test and then was told you need to have your lungs check, we were devastated because it was something that came out of know where. The lung dr told us that just because he didn’t work in the coal mine didn’t mean he couldn’t get black lung! He said that if you heat with a coal stove and also if any of your family members work in mine which his Dad when he was growing up and they had a coal stove when he was young and he was the one who kept the fire going so that meant he had to bring in the coal and put it in the stove.. plus he said that it was in the air, we really don’t know about that one.. His lung Dr is one the best and that’s why we believe what he’s told us.. It’s just been a ruff few years, and it’s very hard when it’s the love of your life or your parents!! I pray that your Dad recovers well!!! We serve a Mighty God that still’s performs miracles everyday!! Take care my friend hope you have a Blessed weekend!!!!

Welcome to the South, where you can find nothing in the thrift stores, and even the dollar stores have very little. I live in Texas, and it’s exactly the same story here. I’m not sure, but it might be because more people live in the South including a large immigrant population, and there is a lot of competition for low cost goods.
Up north I used to be able to find vases and things for a few dollars or less in Goodwill, but here in Florida, the thrift stores seems really overpriced to me and it's often cheaper to just go to Walmart. I'm not sure why.
