Journey of Recycling - Plastic Bottles

Ever wondered what happens to the plastic bottles which you recycle at home?
Plastic bottles form one of the six material groups accepted via kerbside recycling collections from local authorities in Halton, Knowsley, Liverpool, Sefton and Wirral.
If you live in one of these areas, then the plastic bottles which you recycle at home are placed in a recycling bin with other co-mingled household recyclable materials and delivered to a Materials Recovery Facility.
