Walk with me | Ep. 05 - Udaipur, Rajasthan | Stunning Views At Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace | India

[e-mail] | Udaipur, Rajasthan, India | Jan, 2024: This video starts at the base of the tall Aravalli Range hill that houses the famous Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace and soon gets us onto the 4X4 SUV our way to the top of the hill. As we ride up the hill we take in views that start off with wild and bushy areas at the base and then lead to wide and expansive views of the hills and regions all around.
We soon the top of the hill and are dropped off close to the highest point in Udaipur - Sajjangarh Monsoon Palace. While here we spend time walking around, eating some breakfast, and exploring the beautiful views of the city all around. We also spend time thinking and talking about the young ruler envisioned and laid foundation to what would become Sajjangarh Palace.
We continue to climb higher and higher during our exploration of the area, and get to wider and expansive and more commanding views of the land and sky above us. We spend time slowly and carefully observing different parts of this palace that was used to keep an eye on the Monsoon clouds that would later bring good rains to the city. The video ends somewhere inside the Monsoon Palace while looking out from one of the windows and enjoying the beautiful views around us over long distances.
The project to build Sajjangarh Palace was envisioned and started off by Maharaja Sajjan Singh but it was completed by his successor Maharaja Fateh Singh. The nearby lake is called Fateh Sagar Lake after Maharaja Fateh Singh. The Monsoon Palace also offers stunning views of this Fateh Sagar Lake as well as Lake Pichola.
