This track was even better there. Matt was really fired up.

ps Have been gig going for over 60 years and have seen around 1300 gigs and 2000 bands with supports.
You know a band is amazing when you prefer their live over studio
The whole structure of the song is unique. Starts with a different percussion beat, which by itself is attractive and ecletic, then everybody else joins in with great performances. I always listen to the drums & bass; if they're happy, good band.
Saw them live last Saturday in Manchester in a medium venue (3000 people) . They were awesome. It helped I was only a few feet away from the front of the stage . Matt was on fire
this track was a highlight . But they played for nearly Two hours. There was not one weak track.
Been gig going for over 50 years and seen around 2000 bands with supports (maybe 1300 gigs) .
That one is in my all time top 10 gigs.
The National are in my all time top ten bands , and are easily my current No 1 bnad.

Frankly still confused by the apparent decision to effectively have a 5-person percussion section on this tour, but doesn't change how good it is. Great album, great band.
