One really unique and rare tip, but can be super helpful for Sweden, is that we stopped driving left in the late 60s, but in some parts of super rural, very far north-western Sweden, we still have some of our signs setup for left hand drive that never got updated due to how difficult it is to reach. I've only seen this in person, and as far as I know, geoguessr doesnt have coverage there, but maybe one day this will come in handy.
9:50 a Norwegian friend told me that those side lines and the gaps between them are exactly 3 meter long and the lines are dashed if the road is narrower than 5.5 meters. So because a pair of line and gap is exactly 6 meters, they can be used for measuring when 25k'ing. Wider roads have solid lines.
indonesia is now switching from black plates to white license plates but yeah, they should have 3 sections like T 1503 XX or something B= Jakarta, bekasi, depok D= Bandung, Sumedang T = Karawang, Subang, Purwakarta Z= Garut, Tasikmalaya, Ciamis, Pangandaran L= Surabaya W= Sidoarjo M= Madura N= Malang AB= Yogyakarta AD= Solo DA= South Kalimantan BG= Palembang and many more that i can’t remember maybe not super useful but certainly can help distinguish between the single letters and double letters
video idea: how to utilize the tips that are learned and how to practice. what maps are good for practice. how to learn new identification info and metas and put them into practice. need some direction on how to actually improve 😅
one thing I've started doing with these tips videos is watching 2-3 times. on the first time watching I'm pausing constantly and writing down with pen and paper to help commit to memory better than just watching.
6:18 great tips, of course, but also a bit funny when looking at a unique sign for the entire americas, except for curacao/bermuda maybe :). (as far as I know)
I'd love to see a guide video for intermediate geoguessr players, preferably on regionguessing big countries USA/Brazil/Mexico/Canada/(Russia). I think it could be useful for most people ❤
Regarding Uruguay, today I had a round with a sign post that was not white (but still same shape, I guess all the paint came off) and the lines were all white! I still went Uruguay as I thought nothing else has that landscape. It was north Uruguay and I won - the oponent was in Australia....
Clearly I need to watch some beginner tips again after the absolute BEATING I took last night. Got on one of those losing streak doom spirals and now I’m back in gold, very far from where I was in master division :(
My son that is authistic gets it. I do not. I'm too old and have bad menory. You are still my no 1 GG! And welcome to Sweden again, thogh we are are in the central, would be fun to meet U.
Strictly speaking, commercial vehicles in Colombia have a white plate. Could be vans, small trucks, buses, taxis, big trucks and presumably also some normal cars registered as commercial vehicles. Private cars have yellow plates. Also, the city of registration is written on the plate. While the plates are blurred, commercial vehicles repeat their plates painted on the sides (sometimes also on the top). Those are sometimes, but not always blurred. That's why I always hunt for a taxi in Colombia. (Lorries less useful as they can travel far.)

Maybe somehow you can muster the ability to spend 30 dollars to play for a whole year. Is it that bad?
