    So far out of the expansion, Mim is my favorite to play as and considering Sword in the Stone is one of my all time favorite Disney movies, I was so happy the game makers did her justice. Super fun!

    I find Mim to be quite easy against the others in this box. She wins almost 9/10 times at our table when against only B&B villains

      She's my favorite too. But my only gripe with her is that there will be turns where you can't do anything. Either I couldn't fund my transformation cards or anything to help me draw into the deck to find what I need.

    We might need a video of how to counter madam mim, im of the opinion that shes the strongest villain now.
    -can fate every turn
    -fates dont set her back much
    -her allies each come with their own vanquish

    I feel like Mim is weirdly new comer friendly. Assuming she is their first character, the plan is very simple, the matching system of transformations makes her combat system straightforward, and her fate deck is not all that bad. Her complexity really only hits those who have played the game before, as she plays almost like a completely new game in comparison to others, especially other combat focused characters. As far as expansions go, she is the only one I feel comfortable handing new comers

    Mim is really cool. I think Syndrome is my favourite due to the complexities and how rewarding it feels when you achieve victory with him. His conditions are also super fun to utilize

    Sword in the Stone is one of my least favorite Disney movies, but I’m glad Madam Mim was added! She was a fan favorite pick so I’m sure she made a lot of people happy.

    Madam Mim is my new favorite second to only Pete probably. I feel like I can really tone her gameplay to a tee if I gave enough time with the game these days. How would you compare her to the other villains? Actually, the latest 6, I have no clue where they might rank except Gaston being low and Mim being high? A strength tier list would be great lol.

    Im as big as a house really defeats her weakness in power gain, especially bc of its multiple copies.

    • @LordoftheBoard
      @LordoftheBoard 2 года назад

      It can help for sure! Depends on how rude other players want to be too. You can always choose to not take power as an opponent - so if you want to deny it you can.

    • @FallenMeeps
      @FallenMeeps 2 года назад

      @@LordoftheBoard I agree, but also not taking power hinders board development hard unless you have a power lead, but at that point big as a house has probably already triggered.

    Thanks for the video! My biggest issue, when playing against Madam Mim, is that I find it really hard to cover any of her top actions. She can easily just pop to the Cottage and move the Merlin Transformations out of the way, often faster than you can move them into the way. I also think not being able to block any of her Fate actions makes her too powerful. If she has to take a little while to gather up Power or Discard before making progress, she can still ALWAYS Fate her opponent too, so the opponent doesn't catch much of a break. Any tips on how to defeat her? (I guess the top actions are more likely to be covered in 3- or more player games, but I mostly play 2-player, and find her really difficult to beat.

    • @LordoftheBoard
      @LordoftheBoard 2 года назад

      It is tough. Its more just ensuring you can reshuffle that Merlin Transformation back in the deck. Dont feel bad fating her every turn if you have too.

    • @iChoseScylla
      @iChoseScylla 6 месяцев назад

      I know this is a late response, but her main counter is that she can be resource-starved. For 4 power she can defeat any Merlin transformation using I’ll Make The Rules, but she only gets power consistently from As Big As A House, a condition card that activates when an opponent gains 2 or more power. If you can race ahead of her in power gains, you can delay her getting power by not gaining it yourself. However, since she can fate every turn, this does make it a bit hard since you may be forced to gain power to deal with fates. Having two unblockable fate actions really helps her fight against players who try to avoid that condition, so you just have to try your best to manage that situation.
