Karen to me was never a villian in MAFS. I loved her from the first moment. She wanted to be sure before giving her heart to someone that may not have been committed/deserving. I'm very happy to see that she is speaking up on the situation.

Karen being labeled the “villain” has always rubbed me the wrong way. I was fighting for my life in the MAFS comments. From day 1 I’ve seen her as someone who wanted to be sure about her “person”. She wanted to be sure before she opened herself up fully. She’s such a sweet soul. I pray this helps her heal & I pray she finds her person. I really hope she knows she has real supporters who are genuinely praying for her. 🫶🏽🩵

My heart goes out to Karen God is a meander of a broken heart you are humble and a beautiful soul. You're well educated God will send you the right man to love you. Miles knew he wasn't committed he's been confused since day one and still is. We see the real issue was and is him. I'm shocked he used her to loose weight and for a social platform now he wants privacy. Thank you Karen for sharing a very emotional subject you will get through this and be able to help someone in the same situation. He did you a favor someone is coming to celebrate you and not just tolerate you you deserve better and it's coming!

This interview was REALLLLY good! I loved how Karen was so candid and true to her own experience and still was respectful of others. Thats class you can't buy! I will admit I was one that initially thought she wasn't giving Miles a chance but then after the show... following them on social media I started feeling like it was A LOT she wasn't saying to protect him. This interview confirmed that. Im so glad that she's coming into her season of confidence. I hope she never again dims her own light just so someone else's can shine. Karen... you are worthy... you are enough! ❤

So glad I watched this! I do wish there were less interruptions but overall, this was a great convo! The show definitely gave the impression that Karen was the villain but this was a gentle reminder that we truly don’t know the half of people’s lives and perception is not always fact. I pray for the best for both of them. I think they are both growing individuals (as we all are). Those were very wise words about shame toward the end. Thank you to this platform for spotlighting her story! ❤

From the first moments I saw Karen, she was my favorite of the whole season.
I also thought it was great to continue to follow her story on social media after the show was dine..
I always had a hard time standing up for her on social media because I could see then that the show was trying to portray her differently than she really was. Each season, the show searches for the bad women.
I wish her the best in life.
May God bring her, her right man. because she really deserves it.

I have advocated for Karen since day one and I understood fully where she was coming from even when the edits made it seem as if she was a horrible "B" who was broken and needed to heal. It was apparent to me that she wanted to make sure she knew who this guy was before she gave away her heart even though she had reservations. The problem is that she went through with the process with the hope of finding her person when she should have trusted her gut. Not trusting your gut creates anxiety, which clearly translates poorly on camera.
On the flip side of that, I've always seen through Miles. I feel like God has given me this wonderful gift of discernment, and I have a pretty good judge of character. With that being said, I've always considered him to be rehearsed and curated for lack of a better word. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but I never believed he was ready or truly invested . He always seemed as if he was doing this just because someone else told him to do it. He seems more like a people pleaser and wanted to be liked by the world more than he wanted to be committed.. (if that makes sense). Either way, I don't know what the future holds for either of them, but I pray they both get what they need, whether that's individually or collectively.

So many similarities! The biggest was living in the box and wanting so desperately to get out; yet not having sufficient life and love skills to truly be confident there. For that reason you feel stuck in Darned if I do and Darned if I don't. Hearing you has caused me to lean in more and consider that success is not necessarily having everything turn out the way I would have wanted, but the fact that I didn't let the box keep me back. You know? It's a new definition of success that means more to me than playing it safe. I look forward to following you and celebrating you "coming into your own."

Glad Karen could finally speak her truth and I always defended her in the mafs comments, it was a lot to take on marrying a stranger and she wanted to be sure. Just my opinion but I felt like miles wanted to be catered to off rip and he didn’t let the process take its course and after the show take it slow, I felt like he was a mommas boy and it was all about him and his needs, so I’m glad they both agreed to separate and praying for healing for both of them. I pray Karen find someone who appreciates her loves her genuinely ❤

  • @phenomenal399
    @phenomenal399 Год назад +9

At first, I didn't care Karen on MAFS. As a MAFS fan, I always struggle to relate to the MAFS participants that seem to hold back in getting to know their new spouses. MAFS is a show but it is also real life. They agree to an arranged marriage based on the experts matching them with a spouse based on what is provided to ensure the partner is the best fit for them. And they are aware that they are marrying a stranger and you will only have a few weeks to get to know this spouse to decide if you want to continue the relationship. So when Karen seemed reluctant to open up to Miles based on what was shown on the show and he was making an effort, it was hard to understand her purpose in being on MAFS. Then when they decide to stay together and she seem to blossom more in her social media personality, I really saw more of the woman she is and was becoming. And in the last year, it was apparent she was going through a transition and healing process and I really relate to her more. I respected her for taking her time gracefully to discuss their relationship. And love that she has continued to flourish and shine. I don't know if she will read these comments but thank you for having the courage to share your story. I understand more of who she is. It really shows how a situation that could have been seen as bad, really turn into a positive.

This was definitely refreshing and eye-opening to watch. I must admit, I never really considered the narrative that reality tv show producers might curate in comparison to what's actually true. I definitely did feel Karen was a bit shallow from how they portrayed her finding out about Miles on the wedding day. From the jump, I feel the "experts" were wrong for pairing them together, and I say that mainly because he was vocal about his mental health struggles from the start and I do not think it's fair to pair a STRANGER with someone battling such a thing.
I am happy that Karen decided to speak up and let people know HER side, it wasn't fair that they depicted her in such light. Wishing you great things on this new journey of yours, Karen.
Lastly, I'd like to add some constructive criticism for Victoria. This was a great interview! I did notice that you cut Karen off several times while she was talking to either comment, give your interpretation of what she might be saying, or relate to your own story. While I know your intentions weren't to cut her off, it took away from the interview a bit because we really want to hear what Karen has to say about her own story.

Thank God she's free! I was pissed at how Karen was labeled and portrayed by black people, and sadly it was a lot of bw coming for her. Karen was expected and bullied into giving a " good" bm a chance. She wasn't attracted to him for her own personal and valid reasons, but she was expected to put her desires to the side, which is something no one would EVER demand of a bm. He has the RIGHT to his perferences. A lot of these males are needy and will drain the hell out of you instead of getting help and focusing soley on bettering themselves. Karen needs to open her options, so that she can find happiness!

@lisaellis7137 Because she didn't follow her intuition and tried to make it work. When you have a deep desire to be married, fear and desperation will rule you even when you know it's wrong.

I’m very proud of you Karen. I GOT WHERE YOU WERE COMING FROM DAY 1. And I knew MAFS was making you seem difficult.. but I also understood you were marrying a stranger and that alone is scary!!!! I LOVE you just the way you are… continue to use discernment, continue to question every move, continue to be selective, continue to trust God, continue to allow God to lead you! Karen Landry continue to be KAREN she’s a Dope soul!❤

I’m so sorry that Karen has to feel so put down from this show because she never gave the vibes that the show put out of her to me. To follow her on social media is to see the real her and I love her personality I just feel like the relationship they put her in with Miles was always going to be an uphill battle and it’s just sad that it couldnt work out because of the circumstances. I love you Karen and I hope you get everything you deserve in life! Girl your man is coming! ❤

Nice to see Karen express her truth. No one will understand the challenges she dealt with marrying someone who suffers from depression. Wish her personal healing.
Respectfully to the host, you interrupted too much and talked too much let her tell her story. I look forward to more interviews

Lord, I hope people who see her as horrible woman would allow themselves to see through the walls because not all of us are out-there when it comes to opening up more especially on relationships...call it insecurities or whatever, it's okay. If you can't see what this woman has been longing for in a partner then
don't judge because you're not inclined to that space! This gal has lived her life with married parents and is highly traditional in her views on marriage. So, this influences one to a high degree.
We just need to respect that we are not the same, will never navigate things and life the same🤎.

Now I wanna watch the show again, I do remember thinking she was a lil frustrating to watch. I wish in this interview she spoke more about the difficulty of the first 8 wks and how or why they were able to transition

K never really got a chance to show her real personality on MAFS. She was painted in a bad light from the beginning. Obviously she couldn’t have been that bad if she’s a cast member, but TV has to have a villain. I commend them both for giving the relationship a chance and hope they have some loving memories together cherish. I also hope there’s no bad blood between them. Back to K though…I’m elated to see more of her personality on social media where she’s in control of the narrative. She seems like a chill, genuine hearted person and she doesn’t get enough credit for that.

Karen was TOO GOOD for the show - MAFS. And I am not disparaging the show but for a woman like Karen, she needed someone who could see into her soul, and that comes with a man who was mature enough to do that. I am not talking about age because some people's age does not line up with their level of maturity, especially men. I liked her right away and I saw how she tried to take her time to navigate the process and show Miles what she was all about. Anyway, they did it, I hope she and Miles can find their true love. Life goes on.
