施生，Try Alaskan Ice Melter. Its salt has smaller granular size and melts ice much faster than the one you currently use. It is more expensive but you will use less salt. Regarding snow removal tools, I find snow pusher, snow shovel, ice chopper and square blade garden shovel along with gas snow blower works well in most tough winter environments. I prefer hand tools with a wooden shank (much warmer to hold) and do not like metal blade on snow shovel because rust stains driveway. To reduce dust inside house, try 3M filtrate 1500 furnace filter. Make sure that return air duct is clean. Seal floor register seams/air duct seams with aluminum foil tape, and electrical outlet with gasket will make the house warmer, cleaner, and more energy efficient. Surprised to hear that you set humidstat to 40 and you still find your house dry. Suggest you take a look at the flexible hose connecting the plenum and the humidifier. The connection at the plenum side may have a hidden metal shutter where you need to pull it open manually in order for the heated air to circulate through the humidifier to absorb water. The current trend is to buy a battery powered 2 stage (not single stage) snow blower, need one that comes with 2 high capacity batteries. Single stage snow blower has problem clearing heavy snow or wet compact snow. 😂😂 Who knows, after you buy one of those, it could become your favorite toy.

加濕器最好用蒸餾水，無既話至少都要用過濾水
