Thank you so much for an amazingly helpful video. I have a couple of questions, will there be diagrammatic questions? And will the workbook section have about 100 questions like the written exam or just a few scenario based questions?
I don't have any diagrammatic questions on my exam and have never seen one on my practices with my course provider. It's like a long case scenario with 2 or more questions relating to it. With workbook, I don't exactly remember how many questions but for sure in 1 question, you answer can sometimes have more than 1 answer. Sometimes 2 instruments are somewhat similar, just remember when to use those instruments like carver for amalgam and flat plastic for composite or similar like Irrigation syringe and endo irrigation syringe...so don't get confused.
They do look scary and sharp. But like what dentist always say, "we don't torture, if you feel pain raise your left hand and we will stop and give your more anesthetic" 😉 it's the first bit that's hard. Once it's done, you'll be fine.
OSCE workbook example question, procedure is first stage root canal and choices are pictures of rct instruments and material. Click yes/No on each of the picture. Zoom session means 5 questions are given in the beginning to read and prepare answers. Upu are given few minutes each question to read and write you draft answer. Bullet points works fine and only write general topic to maximise time. Example discuss to a 10 year old who is high risk for caries oral health instructions. Explain fluoride varnish procedure. Etc... ●balanced diet ●2x brushing ●regular dental appointments ●fluoride toothpaste Etc... ● shield the teeth from caries etc ●dont eat/drink for ....mins use description that is easy for the 10 Yr old to understand. Once the minutes passed, the next question can be read and so on. Then back to the first question but this time you start answering for 5 minutes usually each question. You should ask your course provider if you are on the course. Good luck!
Where i did my course, we have classes online every night. We practice answering questions and discuss answers, we practice with classmates q&a osce as well.

What is the workbook element of the OSCE? What happens in that and what happens in the zoom session?
