We sell our cows and heifers to reduce our numbers. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them. We just need room for young stock. That happens a lot too.
Okay....To say it simply; Breed your heifer when she is around 15 months old. She will continue to grow while she is pregnant and will calve as she turns 2 years old. Her permanent height will be reached at 3 years old.
