You're popular because you explain things clearly and thoroughly. It's obvious that you know what you are doing and that you've been doing this for a long time.
He reminds me of Chef Jean-Pierre (who had a culinary school for decades) in his ability to explain why instead of just telling you what to do. Both are brilliant teachers.
@mmorph02 Absolutely. That’s why it’s awesome to start a business. Even if it’s being a RUclipsr, you still get to itemize all of that stuff, at least here in the US. US tax law encourages new businesses, but I don’t know how it works in Oz.
i like that you left in the partly nasty onion. Most of the time with cooking videos, everything used looks absolutely pristine, wich leads to people throwing out perfectly good food with the tiniest imperfections.
He used what was still useable. Rotting onion has a bad taste, texture & smell so he’s just saying no need to toss the whole onion out.Just remove & toss the rot. Right?

So jealous of that kitchen.. I’d have one.. Especially if it came with an Andy! Just keep him in a shed and let him out when it’s sunny and you want feeding 🤣🤣🤣
"Ras el hanout" means "the head of the shop" meaning this is the pride of the spice shop owner, every spice shop makes it a little different in order to differentiate itself from the others and make worthy of its name.
Love that you don't edit out the less than perfect onion or that sliced-too-thick mortadella! Imperfect ingredients, but it looks and tastes fab in the end. Nicely done chef!
After watching this wonderful channel for a couple of months, I bought a cast iron skillet. One with two handles because I have a small oven. Best decision ever! I always buy good quality frying pans but none of them can beat that cast iron one.
I'd love an episode on how to cook different meats (steak, pork, chicken, seafood) over an open wood fire. How to not burn it, whether to marinade, sear afterwards, steak thickness, what works and doesn't work. Barbequed prawns are by far my favourite way to eat them - they get so savoury sweet and smoky.
Andy, you are my favorite internet chef because you are always down to earth, getting your fingers dirty, showing us the whole process and not being shy of showing YOUR OPINION, and telling us it's yours, letting us make up our own minds. Enjoy your successes, and keep goin' my brother!
Last year my wife and me spent a week in a swedish forest. I cooked over fire only all week. I loved everything about it. I may have invented stuff by accident too 😄👍 this is my go to cooking channel, Andy. Never stop!
I think this is the first sponsorship on RUclips I enjoyed watching. It was actually educational and taught you something. Good job on it a proper sponsorship! This is how you do it!
Outdoor kitchen cooking ideas - The famous, and local, Queensland Spanner Crab. I'd love to see some spanner crab, perhaps even as a Singapore style Chilli Crab dish.
Love your new outdoor kitchen! I live in the US, specifically Alabama. I'd love to see you prepare some Southern dishes but with your own creative twist. Here are a few ideas... Breakfast: Shrimp and grits Lunch: Pimento cheese sandwich with a side of cole slaw Dinner: Collard greens, cornbread, and fried chicken Dessert: banana pudding
Have an all day smoked seafood fest (smoked salmon!) Thanks for the wonderful backyard bbq. Hope your crew enjoyed the food because that's a lot of food for just you and Catelyn
My family has a cabin in the woods in Maine and I absolutely love cooking over the fire there. I get a fire going when I first get there, do chores, and by evening the coals are ready for whatever cooking project (usually steak tacos). Nice choice on the backyard kitchen.
Awesome video. One of your best. Fire cooking is great. Been doing it since I was a young fella growing up in a country town. No gas barbie, just Fire and ingredients. Always good. 👍🇦🇺👏👏
Awesome cooking sesh, Andy. Thanks heaps. Any more videos about large whole fish over those hot coals.Love your videos, the chit chat, self-talk and truth!
You cooked all day, and I can watch you cook all day, simply amazing and inspiring. It is like reading a great book and getting inmersed in it, then when you are done reading you have to return to reality. Your videos are like that! 😂 Really love your work and authentic style! ....and the soft mumbling throw away comments every now and then, brilliant 😂
Having an idea of what you've always wanted to do is one thing. Building this kitchen is another. But then to cook in it in a super sympathetic and professional way and to film it in an authentic and exciting way: fantastic, everything done right!
Andy! Yes Chef! That looked an awesome day's worth of food. I bet the team were as happy as you, team - breakfast, lunch and dinner. If I wasn't literally half way round the world from you, I'd work for free, just for the team meals. Absolutely love the 1 pot breakfast idea, going to have to give that a try 😋😋. Peace and ❤ to you and the team!
I'd forgotten I was a legend till Andy said it at the end of the video. No Sir, you are a the LEGEND. Per usual, amazing video and even amazing-er kitchen,
Mate that's about the most excited I've ever been for one of your cooks. Can't beat open grill over charcoal! I reckon that santa maria grill is just begging to put a beautiful char on a marinated greek style octopus...
Wow, congrats on that stunning new space. 🍻 I would like to see more of what you can do with the oven. And, as you said, that's a perfect spot for entertaining, so I'd enjoy seeing some guests cooking along and slinging cocktails, etc.
What an excellent group of meals, I also love your outdoor kitchen. It looks absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to try some of these meals. Thanks for all the great information. I hope you have a great weekend and a great week.
You’re one of the few RUclips chefs out there that really make things look effortless in execution… Respect. Also, seeing a tomahawk ribeye grilled to perfection on that Santa Maria style grill wouldn’t be hard on the eyes or the imaginary taste buds. Haha
Awesome transformation. Looks like it would be fun to mess around with some dishes back there. Also omg that breakfast and those potatoes looked amazing.
Now that’s an outdoor cooking area to envy, o have 11 different smokers but my cooking area don’t look that good, love your work Andy and congrats on such a great channel, love your work mate
Whata luxo campsite, lol. Know what I really thought precious in spite of your high end kitchen? You saved that onion from the bin. Terrific. Your background rescued the program. Cheers.
It all looks fantastic! Love the grill with the roll up heights! My dad had a beautiful outdoor BBQ with the adjustable height grill. Miss those fabulous dinners
OMG the potatoes, yum. We would love to see you cook Philippines Lechon. My husband is Filipino and obsessed with pork. Love your videos makes me want to be more adventurous in the kitchen.
Your backyard looks so amazing it’s stupid! I am no longer happy with just my smoker. I have to build an entire outdoor kitchen. Thanks Andy ,now I’m going to have to spend all kinds of money on my backyard lol I like everything about this video. Thanks for all of your cooking videos. I’ve learned a lot from your channel
This it the ultimate back yard cooking area. Love it and love how it's set up. Would love to see you make burgers out there. Using the gozney to make buns smoker or fire bbq for patties. I just bought a gozney so im looking forward to using the hell out of it. I currently cook on a keg fire with swinging plate.
Now we all dreaming of an outdoor kitchen that good. That beef 😋😋. I would love to see a seafood banquet done outdoors. Parmesan crusted snapper, beautiful chilli king prawns, oysters etc. now that’s would be awesome. Love your channel.
Can we give an applaude for the realistic full day filming. The natural lighting confirmed
'A round of applause'.
You're popular because you explain things clearly and thoroughly. It's obvious that you know what you are doing and that you've been doing this for a long time.
Agreed. He's very precise and detailed.
That's because he's a Chef, unlike most peeps on here.

Words cannot express how envious i am of this set up. Id never leave my house EVER
the only thing missing is a full garden next to it and retirement sounds nice lol
A charcoal smoker and a ready supply of firewood should do you fine. Invite the neighbours over for a feed if they complain about the smoke
@@alexpap6427he got garden with herbs actually
@@alexpap6427we'll have I got food news for ya, they do have a veggie/herb garden next to it. Check out the tour video on the second channel.
Andy’s flexing with his new setup. Bravo

He removed the odd, inner skin or a deteriorated layer.
I do the same if only part of the onion is not good, or beginning to deteriorate.
@@CherylAnderson-qs4iqhe also said to keep it and use it in something else. He didn’t discard it completely

😂
It puts the loation on its skin 😂
I’m no Andy, but I can cook well and if you made me a kitchen like that, I’d happily stay in your shed 😂
