OMG YES DO IT! PEER PRESSURE! Make sure you find a teacher first, then they will help you find a correctly sized violin that is good quality. You can rent a good violin for pretty cheap from most music stores so you don't have to drop hundreds of $$ at once. :P

It would be hard with both cello and bass. Bass is heavy and depending on the cello, it could be heavy still. Plus, it’s really hard when you’re not sitting with cello....
