Csx 9280 and 9025 remain active in Maine as of 2024 so for now 9025 might be the last one active in the YN2 group at the end of of 2024!
I’ve seen a lot of YN2 engines before in the past and I’m catching many as I can, I started seeing the yn2 scheme in 2022 lol!
Yeah and I feel like the cm44s should have used the yn2 and have some more engines with low ditch lights! That would bring so many memories back of the dash engines! I feel kinda sad for the yn2 scheme going away during the 2024-2026 era and don’t you worry buddy, I’ll be there( feel how you feel) when the last YN2 is all gone or scrapped or rebuilt!

My mother’s hometown was in Irvine in Estill County old L&N territory now CSX’s closed EK subdivision.

Sadly, the Dash 8's and Dash 9's have been put in storage now. It's been since march or april since I last spotted one in action. CSX 4419 was recently refreshed in YN2 by some railfans and I got to see it in person back in december and january when it was in Thomasville Georgia.
