To be fair, it was too much. Snorting is a legit way of taking heroin, though amount and other such considerations are very important. Lance also pointed out that what Vincent was buying was extra strong stuff in the first place. Definitely not something to do an average coke sized line of. I don’t recommend doing either one, but people are gonna do what they’re gonna do.
I like Pulp Fiction because of the dialogue, the music, and not being able to tell what's going to happen next. The dialogue is the way real people talk. Not movie or TV show speak.
When this came out, I went to watch it with a girlfriend who didn't like violence. When Vincent shot Marvin in the face, the whole audience, including me and the girlfriend, burst into laughter for about three seconds, then all stopped simultaneously and stared at each other with our mouths open like, "what the f**k are we laughing at?" It was, to quote the movie, f**kin' trippy...
Oh Marvin! If only you’d had an opinion! Seriously one of my favourite lines in all film: “oh man I just shot Marvin in the face.” 🤣🤣🤣Gets me every time!
*In Butch and Fabienne´s bed scene, she told him twice about she´s pregnant, in a subtle way... but he didn´t realize. *When Vincent talks the drug dealer about his scratched car, the car was scratched by Butch... after they met in that tense meeting in the bar.
Mia snorted the heroin thinking it was cocaine, that´s the detoning to had the overdose (heroin can be snorted as well, but the most common way it´s like Vincent did, using a needle. Also Mia was quite drugged in that moment). And Vincent goes a lot to the bath, due to he´s an heroin addict, and that provokes you, sometimes, constipation. Even the shot to Marvin´s face, it´s due to heroin, that also provokes you spasms (in this case pulling the trigger).
Millie, you sticking up for mayo on chips is my favoutite part of this reaction. Edit: Actually, the fact that you had a katana within arm's reach was my fave.
The main character of Kill Bill 1&2, the Bride, has been created by Tarantino and Uma Thurman. She was. One of five deadly female assassins. And now, think back to the scene when John Travolta asks Uma Thurman - in the restaurant, in Pulp Fiction - about her role in that TV show pilot, she once acted in. Can you see any connection?
They stole the Dance Trophy from Jack Rabbit Slims, it was on the radio news as Butch walked by the apartment window on the way to retrieving his watch. If you can handle this, you can appreciate "True Romance" 1993, which was Quintin Tarantino's first screenplay, but he sold it to fund his first movie, "Reservoir Dogs" 1992 .
Vincent in the bathroom and bad things happen. Eric Stolz was great as the drug dealer. You need to deep dive Quentin movies. I loved your reaction Ps one of the theories of what's in the briefcase is Marsellus' soul, was going around the internet. When you first see Marsellus he has a band-aid on the back of his neck, supposedly where his soul was extracted.
If there's one thing that poor Vincent learned throughout this entire film - well, except from don't let your weapon lying around in the kitchen while using the bathroom - it's that there's almost no better way of getting close to another human being than a close death experience.
He’s big on style. Goes heavy with the “samples” (like music, but with movies). He knows more about movies than most, and shows it. It has only a minimal main storyline, no matter which way you try to focus. Much is gratuitous. It’s more than a classic. It’s a landmark. You see echoes and parodies 30 years on. Mandatory watch for film students.
I've always thought pulp fiction was Quentin's homage to a couple of early Stanley Kubrick films, Dr strangelove, and The Killing! And a movie he named his production company after, A Band Apart. So I'm writing this to give u some pre pro tips, leading up to pulp fiction, so it's more about Quentin and his earlier credits, particularly reservoir Dogs! Before this, Tarantino had writing creds for Dusk til Dawn with George Clooney and True Romance! Which is a movie about himself being a video store clerk, but turning Hollywood fantasy! True Romance is action packed, completely unreal, and totally star studded! He also did co writing/directing with Robert Rodriguez on The Mariachi , with Antonio Banderas and Death proof, with Kurt Russell!! He often has dialogue heavy movies, and long segments in them, where actors seem to be out of character, and having a discussion in various life circumstances, like the breakfast scene here, or in reservoir Dogs, or the foot massage scene in Pulp Fiction here! Pro tips, Vic Vega from reservoir Dogs is Vince Vega's brother from pulp fiction! Eddie bunker as Mr Blue was a former Bank robber, who went to jail, and started writing crime stories, while in! Mr White put up 5 mil to get this movie made, so he could play Mr White! James Woods was up for either Mr White or Mr Pink roles, but his manager didn't give him the script. James fired him! Sam Jackson was supposed to play the role of the black dude undercover cop, but Tarantino said, wait im writing another part for you, which became Pulp Fiction! If u watch his movies, he uses the same actors over and over! Sam, harvey, Tim, and others, in several of his movies...Sam the most. This, Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Hateful Eight, and a voice in Inglorious basterds. Nobody liked the Boss, most of the other actors wanted to beat his ass! He thought he was old school Hollywood royalty and above the other actors. Like several of his other movies, this is based on an old Japanese samurai story, about a group of samurai who get slaughtered in a revenge ploy. The few left realize, one of them is a traitor who tipped off a warlord. Also, search up, Reservoir Dogs posters....there are so many iconic shots from this movie, I have 4 posters as wall art! U may not like his language all the time, but in private moments, street level , homey folks, rednecks, the brothas on the corner, on the block, the crazy chicas....u know they be talkin to each other like this. The moral of this story? Always know the drugs u are about to take!😅 Also yes, Quentin has foot fetish! So in a way, Quentin lied...he daid he would only direct 10 movies. But if u add up movies he had a bit of writing or director time in, u have to add. True Romance, Death Proof, The Mariachi, and Dusk til Dawn. Pro tip....the OD shot scene, he has 2 board games on his table...life and operation! Since his 70s tv show, Welcome back Kotter, through every movie he did through the 2000s, Travolta a dance scene! So now u have to watch Rocky Horror Picture Show and Saturday Night Fever! Mr Wolf, buddy Holly waiter, English guy, all in Pulp fiction/reservoir dogs! The song in the warehouse...u will never hear it the same way, again! The radio guy is a back in the day comedian named Steven Right, famous for his monotone jokes!
The soundtrack is one of the greatest. Travolta was also in Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Urban Cowboy that had great dancing and music. You'll get the Flock of Seagulls reference if see a pic of them.
16:40: He did have to tell him in order to express the extremes they would go through to protect his birthright making it more valuable for him to keep the watch going. The other part is that it's supposed to play as comedy which you didn't seem to get and instead, thought it was too gross. You kids these days, I swear.
You will probably also like Reservoir Dogs, which was his first movie. It was kind of the "rough draft" for Tarantino to explore the themes and story structure of Pulp Fiction. There is even a "Vince Vega" character in that movie.
My favorite character was Millie! The looks on your face during certain scenes were great. I don't know if you were an innocent young girl before, but you aren't now!
Good reaction thus far, Millie. Btw, I paused the reaction to post this comment. The reason why Mia overdosed was because the baggie of drugs she found in the baggie in Vincent's jacket, she thought was cocaine, so she snorted it. But it was heroin, which is supposed to be injected. There was actually the earlier scene when Vincent got that baggie of drugs. The dealer told him that he ran out of vials (that heroin is normally sold in), so he's putting the heroin in a baggie for him instead. That's why Mia automatically thought that the baggie contained cocaine. Heroin is sold in vials and cocaine is sold in baggies...lol
cocaine is a vasoconstrictor- it closes the blood vessels causing an excitement high, raising the blood pressure. Heroin is a strong vasodilator - it opens the blood vessels causing calmness, lowered blood pressure. The nose has an extreme amount of blood vessels, thus the blood coming out of MIa's nostrils because the walls of the vessels were relaxed and open -don't snort heroin. I friend told my about this; I wouldn't know from personal experience, lol.
3:00 I hope to see you react to " Jungle Boogie", the song being played on the opening credits..excellent utube video of Kool And The Gang performing it on Soul Train! And I knew you'd love this once all the plots started to weave together..All the actors, especially Jackson, made their roles iconic. " I used the same soap u did, and my towel don't look like no got-damn Maxi-Pad!" LOL.
I would probably have been better off without the kind of brain that made me immediately start visualizing the different things that could be done with a pair of pliers and a blowtorch.
You need to react to Quentin Tarantino’s 2015 film "The Hateful Eight" - the extended version - or maybe what would be better for you would be Quentin Tarantino’s 1992 film "Reservoir Dogs." Then again his 1997 "Jackie Brown" would be good. That or, if you haven't reacted to them, his 2003 "Kill Bill: Vol. 1" followed by his 2004 "Kill Bill: Vol. 2". If you like Japanese Katana, the samurai sword, the Kill Bill movies would be enjoyable for you to watch. There is a lot of sword play in it.
This film won the award for the best movie at the cannes film festival. I would hate to have that job. To sit there all day long, watching pretentious movie after movie after movie, day after day. I'd be so bored. To win that award, in that manner, you really have to stand out, and do something different, to catch the attention of a bored and jaded audience of the worlds top movie makers. Clint Eastwood was one of the voters there, and he had very complimentary things to say about the film.
In the US Ketchup, vinegar/salt, chili, cheese, chives, .....all these things are acceptable on fries. Mayo is for potato, chicken, tuna salads and sandwiches. lol
Such a great movie and you’re so adorable. As far as the movie goes. The watch in the ass speech is totally needed to show why it’s so personal to set up the scenes later. You’re shocked facial expressions though out were great. You’re obviously young but no one else ever catches that during the dance scene when Vincent does that fingers across his eyes move, it was an homage to a Batman episode that 33:35 featured the Batusi A Go Go. Only complaint is that you cut out an awful lot of scenes. You need to watch Resevoir Dogs now.
Fun fact: John Travolta invented the phrase "shot [whoever] in the face." Before this movie I never heard anyone say that ever. It wasn't in the script. The script said "Oh man, I shot Marvin!" Travolta improvised the line, and Tarantino let it into the movie, even though he thought it was silly. In my head canon, Jules is now a preacher in an inner city community, helping kids get out of gang life with the word of the Lord. Vincent Vega has a brother in the cast of Reservoir Dogs, Vic Vega.
"The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be the shepherd."
thank you
“Too much?” Mia mistook the heroin for cocaine on account it was in a baggy, since Lance (the dealer) was out of balloons when he sold it to Vincent.
The Gimp has been brought, and now Millie will never be the same.
The horror on reactor's faces when it dawns on them what Maynard and Zed are all about lol
I like Pulp Fiction because of the dialogue, the music, and not being able to tell what's going to happen next. The dialogue is the way real people talk. Not movie or TV show speak.
I always wondered if the katana was a Hanzo sword after Kill Bill came out lol
The music and transitions from humor to trajedy and violence is a roller coaster ride.
Pulp Fiction is the greatest film ever written!
The way the story was built was so unique at the time. Starting in the middle and then working back to the middle from both ends was pretty damn cool
When this came out, I went to watch it with a girlfriend who didn't like violence. When Vincent shot Marvin in the face, the whole audience, including me and the girlfriend, burst into laughter for about three seconds, then all stopped simultaneously and stared at each other with our mouths open like, "what the f**k are we laughing at?" Oh Marvin! If only you’d had an opinion!
Seriously one of my favourite lines in all film: “oh man I just shot Marvin in the face.” 🤣🤣🤣Gets me every time!
And it wasn't in the script. Travolta suggested it to QT.
*In Butch and Fabienne´s bed scene, she told him twice about she´s pregnant, in a subtle way... but he didn´t realize.
*When Vincent talks the drug dealer about his scratched car, the car was scratched by Butch... after they met in that tense meeting in the bar.
Holy shit I never picked up on the Fabienne subtext.

Jimmy was actually Quintin Tarantino. He likes to have small bit parts in his movies
Dang, Millie's a cutie.
Should see her cosplay 😊❤
You'd like Death Proof ... It's one of his most underrated movies with the best soundtrack.
My favorite part of Pulp Fiction reactions is seeing how long it takes someone to recognize a ball gag. Well done Millie!
Millie, you sticking up for mayo on chips is my favoutite part of this reaction.
Edit: Actually, the fact that you had a katana within arm's reach was my fave.

That radio thing never happened. It's simply an ad for JRS.
Mia was wearing Vincent's jacket and found his heroin baggie in the pocket and thought it was coke.oops
It could have been Pepsi. Who knows?
Vincent in the bathroom and bad things happen. Eric Stolz was great as the drug dealer. You need to deep dive Quentin movies. I loved your reaction

The more times you watch this movie, the more you will appreciate it more and notice little things.
Check out the movie Goodfellas(1990)(Based on a True Story).
I like mayo on fries too 🔥
Whenever people say they hate exposition in movies, i always think of this movie.
Great reaction girl.👍🏻🇺🇸🇮🇹/🇲🇽 Southern California

classic film, great reaction!!
My favorite character was Millie! The looks on your face during certain scenes were great. I don't know if you were an innocent young girl before, but you aren't now!

You can snort it just not as much as you'd snort coke
@@GeorgeTropicana you can, but the dosage is completely different.. and Mia is a cokehead, so she took a lot
Dangerosa with a gun is beyond real
Basically, anyone who had more than one line in this movie has another seperate movie that is a must watch. Peace/JT
You know you're dealing with a blonde when she sees two freaks with guns holding up a coffee shop, and then she asks what's going on.
That thumbnail image should go on your album cover, Millie!
Paul McCartney bass🤘🏼
Classic movie!. I think your one of the best reactors Millie by far!
You would really like Jackie Brown, one of Quentin Tarantino’s best films.

Didn't see this mentioned yet in the comments, since you're a Kill Bill fan... Mia's TV show "Fox Force Five" is Kill Bill.
cool reaction. Can I suggest a comedy...since you love music so much, you MUST watch "This Is Spinal Tap". Trust me.
Great reaction! Very sincere. Just watching your eyes was great! Classic movie. One of the most unique movies ever..
Loved your facial expressions during the Zed scene lol.

Great reaction! 3:00 "I'm confused!" Just wait lol.
Damn, she so loud. I like it😃

You know fries are made of potato right?
Whoever I was NOT arguing with (only discussing), she lives in the UK! You pick up accents! See! See! :P xxx

every Tarantino movie is great. you can react to all of them. including From Dusk Till Dawn.
So clarity on the overdose... she found Vince's heroin in his jacket and thought it was coke. She bumped a massive line of heroin to her face.
Everyone wants to know what's in the briefcase what it is is a MacGuffin
Now that was a fun journey. Definitely something different. Keeping you interested to what will happen next. Thanks for sharing. 😊🎉❤
Millie don’t like the kiinkee.
@27:49ish... Millie's reaction face..... PRICELESS!!! =;-D
_whoosh!_
You have a good editor.
Love your reactions.
You didn't say much about the soundtrack of the movie love all the songs
Let's go Millie, Classic film. Could you react to Ready Player One Or Django Unchained
one of the best soundtrack as well :)
The more you watch it the better it gets…
The people who review the film are the same people who edit the film so they've already seen the movie before they are giving you fake shock
you WILL Need to watch this 2-3 times to understand what is happening and how and why :).
And 2 or 3 more times after that, just to make sure, and then many more times just because it’s that good.
You have to do "Jackie Brown" next...
That's a microphone, you don't have to yell.
I wish the sword Butch uses was Budd's, but Budd lied when he said he hocked his sword in LA for $250.
I believe He said he hocked in in El Paso, TX.
@@mcfierce it's been a while since I saw that movie.
what do we think..... man I don't even have an opinion 😂
3:45 lots of sauces work with French fried 🥔. Make them right & they’re good S’n’P.
You seriously cut out the foot massage dialogue but left in the fox force five monologue. What the heck. :D
this is why us 40+ dudes are so chill we watched this fucked up movies as kids.
