You can get fat bike adapters from Thule, so you could take it with your motorhome. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/195194543500?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=hd02LEy6TJO&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=lHFeJWAtQKy&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
A great, in depth review from you both. And what a lovely lad Liam is, he’s a credit to your family. It looks a cracking bike, but as you say, maybe too big for the motorhome / caravan world.
Excellent review Bob/Liam. I always enjoy your reviews as they are totally unbiased. Other RUclipsrs could learn a thing or two from you. Ps what a cracking lad your nephew is, obviously has a nice family around him 🙌
Congratulations on the choice of keeping it! I have the same himiway and I love it and bought a trailer and mirrors upgrade I also have 3 alarms to protect my investment. Drive safe, I love your reviews, cheers
Great bike that well done Bob/Liam great review and fair and balanced too, as you say too big really for a van but great for work, I’d definitely love one.
Yes, a wider door or a big tall garage would be great. Yes, electric scooters seem a good idea. It's worth mentioning that the Himiway is a Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle and as such it is road legal, because as shipped, it is limited to 15.5mph on pedal assist and throttle assist is limited up to 4mph. Unless someone unlocks it for higher speeds of course.
My Rockrider est900 has similar fat tyres, 2.8" wide 27.5" wheels. I bought a Thule Velo Compact bike rack that hooks on to my towbar and i carry it around using that. Our Swift 784 motorhome has been ordered with both a towbar and a Thule bike rack. I am hoping the Thule Elite bikerack that Salop are providing on the motorhome will hold the bike. If not, then i will use my towbar attached Thule bike rack. Am sure your ebike would fit on one of these types.

Yeah, definitely looks too big for a motorhome. Well, Liam seems to be really happy with the bike. However, you didn't really test it out on any steep hills

Liam is very lucky to have you as his Uncle Bob. From your review I think it looks to big for a motorhome. Take care Gill
Thank you

You are welcome.
Thank you Bob and Liam for this very informative bike review.Based on your comments I'll be saving up for one!
Great to hear 👍😀
German motorhomes with wide doors may be the answer? Shame scooter cannot be used on roads as they are small and have great range.

Did you say that the brakes on the handle bars are the wrong way round?
Yes, I reported that to Himiway.
It's because the bike is North American specification...😬
Great video ! Can you increase the speed for the throttle only please?
Yes, but bear I mind it makes it illegal on the road. Look up the RUclips channel 'tinkering turtle'
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks very much. I only wanna add a few extra mph, nothing too extreme. Thanks very much.

The tyres on the Himiway are 4 inches wide, so I'd be interested to see if that Thule rack would take the Cruiser.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo you can get Thule Fat Bike wheel adapters for their carriers. Also, you can get xl length straps.
Thank you, that is interesting.
Nice video Bob/Liam, what sort of price are we looking at?
Thanks. There's a link in the video description, it's £1699.
Looks brilliant. Is there drive to both wheels? Do you need third party insurance for it?
It's a rear hub motor. No you don't need insurance, it's a Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle. Good insurance is always an idea though.
great vlog
What kind of bike lock would you need when parking up?
Don't think it would need anything unusual. A good quality steel rope type I'd say.
They all are, they are made for the American market.

Thanks for adding that. I would just get grief from some viewers for unlocking it.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo I just thought it was weird that yours only did 4 mph throttle only mine out of the box did 20
Throttle only gets you up to 20 mph and 25 mph with pedal assist without unlocking it if you unlock it The throttle will get you to 25 mph.
In the UK it comes limited to 15.5mph or 25kph.

That's because we don't have any steep hills in Sefton. 😁
ORDERED MINE YESTERDAY $1,299 THEY KNOCKED OFF $300 😀😀
That's a good deal.
