Then why doesn't he say clean up your border security and defence spending or we will apply tariffs? Why promote coercing Canada to join the US if he is not trying to make that happen? Tariffs are enough of a threat on their own.
31:14 this would be a HUGE blessing if we could be forced to allow competition into Canada from the U.S. Canadians are constantly being screwed by our lack of competition. The telecoms companies are the first thing that comes to mind. I can’t wait for this! Oligopolies all over the place in this damn country.
working in that field for 14 years tv/internet specifically, i say sure ill work for at&t or any other US company that starts doing things to grab more customers by being cheaper. might even bring some increase to wages that have been stagnate for at least 8 years, like why are we so averse to competition? there are so many places where you don't even get to choose its always only between 2 maybe 3 companys, but really its bell fibe/sat or rogers cable/sat (rogers bought Shaw that hade bought out starchoice year's prior) and what a few random other company's but there are no major overlaps. so they both just keep raising pricing and you cant do anything as the customer but agree to pay, change, or cancel outright. i was once at a meeting with the VP of marketing for a cable company when i worked for them, in the little chatting before the meeting started the VP said that they are making a killing on internet, then 10 min into the meeting said they were adding data caps to charge when you went over, that was clearly only for more money its sickening we have needed that kind of change for a long time. and that's not even getting into cell phones costs
So we get screwed by American companies instead of Canadian ones? Not sure what's worse. But in the end, competition is always better for consumers. Canadians want to be considered world-class, here's our chance to prove it.
Trump doesn't care who the PM is. He wants Canada to become the 51st state. Canadians are naive to think otherwise, but naive is how we got to where we are and naive will destroy Canada as an independent nation.

It's not Trudeau, it's the left he wants gone. If we're going to be leftists then we are not valuable allies and Trump will either bring us into line or cut us off. I think that's fundamentally where this goes. I think the reason the tariffs are not already in place is because people like Danielle Smith has convinced Trump to wait until our election is resolved. We can elect someone Trump can work with in Poilievre, or we can put Carney in (because it WILL be Carney) and Trump will crush us.
If we had a real leaders, they would be able to negotiate on our behalf and tighten up our border, which should be a given. Unfortunately, we don’t have real strong leaders and they are nowhere near or able to negotiate with anybody. I don’t even have a government right now, so yeah.
This Westminster Parliamentary system is flawed. There’s the real problem. Real leaders have no opportunity for lasting change. No veto power. A worthless senate. And on and on.
You DON"T 'negotiate' with Trump. If you kiss his feet (or his little d*ck) he might let you live. He wants you to grovel and abase yourself - he doesn't negotiate - that's for equals. You are making the error of thinking the man is rational.
The American dollar is priced too high...no matter what you do as long as this is the case...those so called middle class jobs will never come back because no one will be able to afford to buy American products...period...so good luck with it!
She has is starting to be more accurate with her statements in the 24 hours. The Americans want the trade deficit flipped. They are upset we sell more stuff to them than we buy from them. The problem is Canada can't fix that without stepping in a rationing what we export. We are not going to do that, we believe in a free market.
Our pathetic current government with Joly and other DEI and friend hires is akin to the little kids table at the dinner party. They are so out of their league.
But they dress so purty. There is NOT ONE presently elected Liberal in Ottawa that has a bloody clue on international business methods. The worst part is that has been going on for years with varied political parties. The total Canadian political system works on hind sight rather than foresight. We deserve theproblems we are presently going through.
I put all the blame on Ottawa and Eastern Canada for putting this country in jeopardy The stupidity coming out of Ottawa in the last 40 years is mind boggling The last nine years has been the worst in Canadian history Ottawa was run by foreign powers and not for Canadian we are the great experiment of the reset

We should have been developing our resources and military 40years ago. Instead we were to busy with stupid things like woke and racism. This country was to busy with French and English language bs and native and indigenous climate change activists. We are were we are because of stupid government policies. Governments should have bringing all Canadians together instead of dividing us for 40 years If we all stand together to develop our country is the only way to make this country great 100% Pierre for our next prime minister or we’re done
Yes we should have but now it is way too late. Canada is no longer a place to do business in for companies or provinces. Alberta needs to start building pipelines south to provide America with oil as they are already building LNG plants and Refineries right now. No company is going to build a pipeline in Canada after the disaster of the trans mountain. Even if Pierre can get the bureaucracy out of the way the first election he looses the Liberals get back in and bring the eco-crazies with him. Canada isn't worth the risk to build in.
I have to scratch my head on this one Mr. Poiliever is the only one that allowed us to vote for. I say we need a new Party the one I see that happening with is the Peoples Party of Canada 🇨🇦. You say they are not ready. Well, the parties you have put forth haven't done so well. Have they? PPC knows how our Parliament Works Understands the Supreme Court process and knows that area needs to be streamlined in a big way as it takes way too long to get anything done. As it is now. I say PPC needs more authority in the future of Canada 🇨🇦
1/ get rid of LIBs-NDP elect huge CPC majority 2/ tighten OUR immigration vetting 3/ agree to increase Nato spending 4/ agree to renegotiate nafta (without mexico) with supply management & telecom on the table This is how we get tariffs off & get inside the north america economy vs outside Then we need to reduce corporate taxes & regulations
Its all sbout national security for the Country . Face it the current system is broken except for the WEF group that have no compassion for the working class. The working class is the back bone of any country on an even playing field. Canada needs to lift obstacles for the small business every where. You are absolutely right! Trying to repost on Canada wants Pierre, Facebook page...If not will mention what to look for there. Don't know if he'll see it but someone connected might. Important thoughtful analysis imo
This is a fascinating and informative discussion. Thank you. I believe Danielle Smith's approach to President Trump's tariffs is thoughtful, wise and speaks highly of her emotional intelligence. Most Canadian premiers seem to have little ability to see beyond their personal interests and we don't need the fall-out from that.
As long as politicians keep Canada a weak, poor, over taxed, over regulated, uncompetitive manufacturing zone and undefended country, we won't have much ability to negotiate with Trump. We are to blame for keeping Canada weak.
No! "WE', are not. If you want to take blame for things out of your control, by all means, be their patsy. I won't. I refuse to take blame for where politicians and bureaucrats alike have set this country over the last 45 years or so. Justin Frigging Trudeau and his band of puppets being by far the worst of the group of pigs who have done this to this country! Who continue to escape CONSEQUENCES of their actions!!
How do you propose we get Quebec eastward off welfare? Any reduction in transfer payments disincentives productivity and they would rather all of Canada suffer to maintain their have not status. And then call Danielle Smith a traitor … bite the hand that feeds …..
I'm glad Ian Lee talked about the real liberal agenda..... Unlimited pain on Canadians for the express purpose of getting re-elected. I'm glad I'm not the only one who's been saying that. Liberals = Power at any cost.... But not our cost.
I actually figured this out yesterday on my own, and told my family about this. It's nice to hear others reaching the same obvious conclusion. The Liberals really are desperate enough, with such terrible polling numbers, to create an economic crisis just so they can slander Pierre Polievre as a 'friend' of Trump. They're prepared to climb over our dead bodies in order to stay in power.

Lets join the USA Trudeau has destroyed CANADA. Give us lower taxes, freedom of speech, the right to self defense. The ability to move live and work in states with far better weather and ecoomies and yes lets ditch the Canadian Peso. Can’t agree more. I live in Ontario have worked legally in USA since 1976. Great people great companies. My son is now working in Waller Texas on 48” pipeline. Loves it. Hopes not to come back to work here. To many politics.
Our "healthcare" up here is an absolute joke. It took me almost 14 months to just get a large ovarian cyst removed... over a year of near-constant pain, horrible side effects... all because our current system is drowning under useless bureaucracy & puts illegals ahead of tax-paying Canadians!!
Traitors. Might as well burn your flag next. You disgraced the men and women who died giving us our freedoms for this country. Our sovereign nation. Because you want to jump ship. Because you think the grass is greener on the other side. Simps.
"Lets join the USA Trudeau has destroyed CANADA." Lets stay independent and clean up our act instead. Bending over and surrendering to the USA is for Whimpey pussies. Let's shame the USA by paying interest and principle on our federal and provincial debts from tax revenues and cut spending to do it. This will free up funds eventually to up grade our military and border control to keep all invaders out. Let's find other customers for our goods and services and if the yanks want to punish us for our productivity we can cut them off and sell to some one else or make our own finished goods for our own people. We need to get to a position where we don't need a damned thing from the states.
I would not like to live in a US state. All their problems would cross the old border. I am dependent on our health care programs because I am an elder and need special care for chronic illnesses for which I need home care, 10 different medications, insulin and the like. Nurses visit 3 times per day. My CPP and OAS retirement benefits would go away.

Except that if he goes back on his promise to vote Liberals down it would be political self-offing. His caucus doesn't support him and are demanding he votes non confidence. We'll see. One weak and sick individual should never have such power. Reform is badly needed!!
@ Mark Carney is loved and respected by the rich only. He is one of those types who finds ways to swindle the people without them getting riled for some reason. He has a way of making the folks think they owe them and its necessary.
Canada should not be guessing about the agenda. We are out of the loop, and hopefully can get back in. People are going to suffer, without some connections being made ASAP.
No. Trump is not playing 3-D chess. He is not that smart. However, negotiating with an ignorant fool is harder than with an intelligent person. The problem is that the Liberals think they ride this out and get back to the status quo. They might be able too, but only at great cost to Canada.
This discussion has given great support for Canada to become the 51st state. Actually it should be the 51st to the 53rd state and a northern protectorate. By becoming Americans our business both large and small would not have government interference on human resource hiring nor the crazy high taxes. Businesses and entrepreneurs would discover what it is like to have an environment in which they are encouraged to grow,. It would give our citizens lower income and sales taxes, not to mention the right to say what they want without worrying about "Human Rights Tribunals" which are more concerned about feelings than truth and justice. It would allow Canadians to protect their homes and loved ones from nasty thieves and murderers. Sovereignty would be a focus the military and it would be funded to achieve that goal. Travel would be so much easier between "states" our dollar would not be 65 cents in buying power and our health care insurance would be covered not matter how long we were south. Snowbirds would love it. The dictatorial, communist, one world government of the NDP Liberals has had its own way these last 10 years, if they continue then Canada is on its way to be the mirror image of North Korean. The present regime here will be no match for the economy of the USA as it unleashes its might. Canadians have a lot to consider over the next few months.
Lowest Capital Gains in the free world, 90 cent a liter fuel, ZERO carbon tax, 15-20% lower income taxes, cheap milk and cheese, affordable homes and rent. However there are still Canadians opposed to joining America.......I can not fathom why.
We won’t be even one state, much less three. We’ll be one big territory for many years until Congress gets around to maybe making part of the Canadian Territory a new state. That’s how the U.S. advanced westward: big empty territories were carved into States as they filled up with settlers. Provincial fiefdoms and Quebec language rights won’t mean anything to the U.S. You might thing we should logically be three new states but the Americans won’t see it that way. We aren’t even enthusiastic Americans yet. We’ll need decades of probation.
You are absolutely correct. However, America want BC East of the Cascades Mts as well as Alberta and Saskatchewan and perhaps the territories. We need common sense, hard working people. We have zero interest in Quebec and little interest in your libtard, want something for nothing provinces.

I was born in Canada in the very early 90s. I'll be moving to the US this year. This country doesn't have a clue. It would be one thing if we were in our current state of affairs, but there was clear leadership and vision and action heading towards fixing it. There is a deep cultural, social, and political rot. People think Poilievre will be a saviour? Sure he's better by a country mile than Trudeau, but he's not going to fix all that much before he's turfed out and the Liberals are back in charge carrying us forward even faster to a failed state. We refuse to admit what is holding us back, let alone do anything about it. Trillions of dollars of natural resources rotting in the ground which have the capacity to launch us into greatness, yet we prefer to tax the eyeballs out of people who can barely afford to live anymore. We moan about sovereignty, but refuse to spend a red penny on the military and continue to deepen our reliance on the US. We complain about not having enough people while at the same time promoting abortion, homosexuality, birth control, and then "fix" the problem by drowning ourselves in Indians. At this point, we've essentially practically decriminalized violent crimes because there is no effective enforcement or punishment for it. But if you defend yourself and your family, you're screwed. And the government will come to take your guns. We have no rights and freedoms. Protest peacefully and you have martial law declared, your bank account frozen, and get trampled by horses. I can't even share a news article. Our state broadcaster is a Liberal propaganda arm. It's ridiculous. I'm under no illusion that the US is perfect, but at least they have more of their act together than we have.
Globe and Mail....uninvest in America? Are you kidding me? The second I knew Trump was going to be president and given the current political and economic situation in Canada, I called my personal investment guy and moved as much as I could into the US
I don’t think he actually wants that. I think he wants a North American economic union similar to the EU. Keep in mind that when someone tries to negotiate, they always ask for more than they actually want.
@@justylexI'm not so sure. He is seeing what the options are. He doesn't want to have to try to pry resources out of Canada everytime they try to develop here, with all our activists and special interest groups refusing to do anything productive or in the interest of Canada as a whole.
It is great to see some Canadian realists. As an American whose family has been in N. America since 1648, it has been obvious that Canada and NATO in general, have been ripping off the USA since the end of WW2. We have Canadian cousins and both countries would be far better off and stronger as one union.

I've been saying this! Here's an interesting quote from the book... 'Sometimes it pays to be a little wild, An hour later I got a call back from the banker, and he said, "Don't worry, we're going to work it out, Mr. Tramp." Mrs. Hill and Frank Argenbright told the media, and the next thing I knew, it was the lead story on the network news'.
We could say the same thing about the inequity that exists between the outer provinces and central Canada... we are not equal partners in the confederation. Albertas Govener is doing what is right for her state. I say that with tongue in cheek. The Canadian Senate, as it exists, is a useless pork barrel packed drain on the Canadian taxpayer. Make the Senate two elected senators per province and territory. Eliminate the lifetime appointments and allow them to run for re-election every 6 years. Canadians need an equal, elected, and effective sober second thought on laws passed in the lower house. Not hand-picked, appointed rubber stampers. No wonder we are in trouble over terrifs. The current system is a mobocracy. It's time to address the representational inequities in our beloved land.
Canada is operating under an adequated govermental system with really stupid politicians. This is nothing new. Trudeau is just the newest &; probably worse example. Canada does not operate as a Nation but just personal fiefdoms/ territories. This operation is being left in the dust in the modern world. The whole frame work must change. Canada must modernize, become more competitive. The national attitude toward government has to change as to what government OWES you as a citizen & what the citizen expects of government. Plainly put, Socialism doesn't work, never has. It will work as long as there is other peoples money to spend. Canadians are finding out that the other guy is growing broke too...now what??
On August 15 1972 Nixon took the US off the gold standard… because they didn’t have other countries gold to deliver. By the late 70s gold tripled and they were in deep recession. We’re in a very similar situation.
Since october 2015, justin had one thing in mind............to disrupt, divide, destroy and demoralize Canada......and his plan is going full speed ahead !!!!
Although, I personally think he's too stoopid to plan any of that. It's been puppeteers like Car-ney who have been speaking into his ear and guiding him along this path.....
Trump could be driving for an economic union North and South. Keep the border but make it open. Also, PP would like to get rid of trade obstructions by provinces. Both make sense.
Pp is a waste of time since the parliamentary system and the ideological globalism of canada is unable to actually make changes or build infrastructure.
It's funny. Canadians idea of "immediate action" is frantically re-arranging the beach chairs as the Tidal Wave blocks out the sun as it approaches the beach.
You gents are good! Great analysis. One of the many things you said resonated with me in terms of my engineering professor's teachings of nearly 50 years back related to the discussion about finding out what it is exactly that Trump wants from Canada. My prof said... A problem (as in a task), well defined (and understood), is a problem half solved!! Our PM and premiers, maybe with the exception of Ms. Smith. Skipped the step about attempting to learn what Trump really wants from Canada..😊 The Liberals Must GO and the premiers and their teams... need to get their thinking caps on an understand what Trump wants. And Doug Ford has got to ditch that silly baseball cap!
Alberta seems to be the only provincial head to have any brains. Canada is really fighting up its weight class against the USA. YOU 13:07 WILL LOSE. FAR BETTER for all of us to effect a close economic for everyone’s prosperity. BUT; Canada must start paying its fair share. The majority of Americans now want us OUT of NATO (they also, have taken advantage of the US. ) and the UN. The UN is totally worthless and, of course, America pays the majority of its costs. Trump is in favor of unilateral agreements with real allies.
Great show, Brian. These 2 educated Economists have interpreted very wisely what America under Pres Trump wants to accomplish. We need to build a strong North America as the greatest continent on the planet . Our leaders and politicians in Canada need to get educated to restore and rebuild Canada working in harmony with America to embrace economic prosperity and progress because Woke Globalism the Great Reset etc has failed Canada and the global nations Keep up the good work at the Toronto Sun.
While it be cool if Canada joined us in the US, to be honest you guys are just too liberal. We are trying to get rid of illegal immigrants not just because they are here illegally but also because immigrants and their children overwhelmingly vote democrat which is why dems want them here. And if Canada joined as one state we’d get a second California and one is bad enough. If each province joined as a state we’d add 8 or 9 democrat aligned states, it’s just not a good deal.
It's really only 3 major cities and their suburbs that are full of Libtards; Toronto, Montreal & Vancouver And any deal for Canada to join the US would involve NOT bringing Quebec along with the rest of the country... The biggest mistake our country has ever made, was fighting to keep those socialist losers around back in '95 Maybe offer refugee status of most of those in and around Quebec City, as that are is pretty solidly conservative... the rest of 'em though? Even France doesn't want to take those idiots back!
That’s why you take it as two states. West/east. West is majority conservatives. West has 90% of all resources in this country! Potash, uranium, farming, oil/gas, copper, nickel ect, ect.
This isn't going to sit well with many folks, but the only way out of our disasters will be through massive investment (debt). We need to build our energy, mining, and maunufacturing sectors to compete globally and diversity our markets beyond the US. Stripping down our budgetary spending for foreign wars and support for international Woke policies will help funding. We don't have to become a state to follow Trump's lead.
@@Juiceboxmakes Yup. The bankers won't keep lending us money forever. Liberals talk about our "triple A" credit rating, but with payments costing more than a billion a month, that rating isn't going to last forever. If we don't cut government spending massively, and increase tax revinue thru increased business activity, our debt will crush us worse than Trump ever could.
Alberta must separate now for our own survival. Daniel Smith must put people first over party and begin the negotiations. If she doesn't then Alberta oil and livelihoods will be sacrificed for a Canada that is too out of touch to understand what is going on, this cannot be tolerated. By joining forces with America we would no longer have to ask permission to grow and prosper and could be a part of something great instead of something dying.
Let's all keep in mind that most of our elected officials (Municipal, Provincial, Federal) barely made it through High school. The incompetence and corruption is rife Country wide.

In Canada, a senior who cannot afford rent is called "An Addict" if they wind up on the street, even if they have lived a clean, hard-working, tax-paying life. A foreign senior couple (who has never worked a day in Canada) is considered "those in need of housing". Canada is a place where seniors can just die on the streets.
Also the Banks!
it would also spell the begining of the end of what few canadian owned industries/companies we have. 100% branch plant economy for canada.
I mean, if you want all our jobs to go to the US, then sure.
So we get screwed by American companies instead of Canadian ones? Not sure what's worse. But in the end, competition is always better for consumers. Canadians want to be considered world-class, here's our chance to prove it.
Because he wants Trudeau gone. Sooner the better for us and him.
Trump doesn't care who the PM is. He wants Canada to become the 51st state. Canadians are naive to think otherwise, but naive is how we got to where we are and naive will destroy Canada as an independent nation.

Not just Trudeau, all the globalists.
Exactly. Put the tariffs on. See shit hit the fan real quick.
The US is short of real leaders also, they just have a big mouth bafoon that is slowly going down.
@@boxerfit-fitnesspersonaltr6151 the best thing for Canadians is take up Trumps offer. A status quo new leader will be short term at best.

Potentially, yes.

Never going to happen. If you do, you will see the US Military in your country
Ontario is about to start building the largest nuclear plant ever, here is an idea instead of sending power to USA below market value purchase that Quebec power within Canada at a fraction of Ontario's nuclear power costs.
You will be using candles
in the future if you have an excess of cheap hydro you are going to do very well,
If you build it they will come.
As we decarbonize we will need to build more generating capacity.
This is a sobering discussion -- and well worth focusing on. Play the whole thing and listen!
We should have been developing our resources and military 40years ago. Instead we were to busy with stupid things like woke and racism. This country was to busy with French and English language bs and native and indigenous climate change activists. We are were we are because of stupid government policies. Governments should have bringing all Canadians together instead of dividing us for 40 years
If we all stand together to develop our country is the only way to make this country great 100% Pierre for our next prime minister or we’re done

100 percent agree
Canada is operating under an adequated govermental system with really stupid politicians. This is nothing new. Trudeau is just the newest &; probably worse example. Canada does not operate as a Nation but just personal fiefdoms/ territories. This operation is being left in the dust in the modern world. The whole frame work must change. Canada must modernize, become more competitive. The national attitude toward government has to change as to what government OWES you as a citizen & what the citizen expects of government. Trump is in favor of unilateral agreements with real allies.
very informative.
As a citizen of a post national state I demand the right to choose any government in the world to govern under contract.
I think Trump is making the globalists regret their demoralization of the Canadian people.
Unfortunately,demands will be denied.
OK commie.
@@ShawnKennedy-w2i I think that was meant sarcastically.......
@ You just never know, people do talk like that.I will apologize if appropriate.
Fantastic Conversation / Thank you
Canada is too divided east and west. Needs an enema in how we govern ourselves
where can I find this paper they discuss?
Great show, Brian. These 2 educated Economists have interpreted very wisely what America under Pres Trump wants to accomplish. We need to build a strong North America as the greatest continent on the planet . Our leaders and politicians in Canada need to get educated to restore and rebuild Canada working in harmony with America to embrace economic prosperity and progress because Woke Globalism the Great Reset etc has failed Canada and the global nations Keep up the good work at the Toronto Sun.
@waldensmith4796 Why don't you emigrate to the usa, get yerself a handgun and an Uzi and join MAGA. The Toronto Sun..... Lol!
Excellent
Danielle smith should be our prime minister she’s the only one with common sense
It's really only 3 major cities and their suburbs that are full of Libtards; Toronto, Montreal & Vancouver
And any deal for Canada to join the US would involve NOT bringing Quebec along with the rest of the country...
The biggest mistake our country has ever made, was fighting to keep those socialist losers around back in '95
Maybe offer refugee status of most of those in and around Quebec City, as that are is pretty solidly conservative... the rest of 'em though? Even France doesn't want to take those idiots back!
That’s why you take it as two states. West/east. West is majority conservatives. West has 90% of all resources in this country! Potash, uranium, farming, oil/gas, copper, nickel ect, ect.
Hey guys…has Oregon, CA, etc paid BC, for drinking water….that they owe 🤨😳😂
Hi Brian, is the name of the document called ”ATI: Activist Treasury Issuance and the
Tug-of-War Over Monetary Policy”?
This isn't going to sit well with many folks, but the only way out of our disasters will be through massive investment (debt). We need to build our energy, mining, and maunufacturing sectors to compete globally and diversity our markets beyond the US. Stripping down our budgetary spending for foreign wars and support for international Woke policies will help funding. We don't have to become a state to follow Trump's lead.
We blew through to much money the last 10 years may have well been the final Nail in the coffin. What a mistake canada made, a very very costly one.
This was a great podcast Brian!!!!😊
Alberta must separate now for our own survival. Daniel Smith must put people first over party and begin the negotiations. If she doesn't then Alberta oil and livelihoods will be sacrificed for a Canada that is too out of touch to understand what is going on, this cannot be tolerated. By joining forces with America we would no longer have to ask permission to grow and prosper and could be a part of something great instead of something dying.
If we join USA, there wouldnt be a Canada so if they were going to develop resources it would be USA resources finally in their hands.
Let's all keep in mind that most of our elected officials (Municipal, Provincial, Federal) barely made it through High school. The incompetence and corruption is rife Country wide.
Freedoms ❤
if you listen to Pierre, he has given more then slogans. Sounds like you listen to the liberal rhetoric and spewed it back out.
I am inspired by these 2 knowledgeable economists with hearts of concern and interest for Canada to transform with entirely new policies to rebuild Canada.
I viewed France 24 Brian and its interesting to hear the disappointing news that it will take approx 800b Euros to rebuild Europe. I write with interest and concern for Canada and North America. Keep up the good work, Brian . I love your show.
Trudeau sucks!
Alberta and Danielle Smith get it. Once again, it's Eastern Canada hurting Canada.
USA has done it to themselves. Bought a John Deere combine in 1989, It had parts that said made in Spain for example on it so their own manufacturing created their own downturn instead of completely made in US
In Canada, a senior who cannot afford rent is called "An Addict" if they wind up on the street, even if they have lived a clean, hard-working, tax-paying life. A foreign senior couple (who has never worked a day in Canada) is considered "those in need of housing". Canada is a place where seniors can just die on the streets. Has anyone ever found the stats on the number of Canadians found frozen on the streets in winter? There's at least 100 here in Vancouver every winter.
