How to setup ANNKE DVR/NVR on the monitor

    Hi everyone, today I’m going to introduce you to the smart search, H.264+, and motion detection email alarm function of your newest DVR. These are only some of the many features you’ll be enjoying with our security products. This video also applies to the DVR series including DN41R, DN81R and DN61R.
    First I’m going to demonstrate how to use the smart search function.
    Now you’re going to want to drag your mouse to the top and click on the menu icon.
    Then click the playback icon on the far left.
    In the drop down menu select smart, then on the following page select the play icon for Camera 01.
    After that move your cursor to the bottom of the page where you’ll find a wrench icon. This is for your settings. Click it.
    First, check the box for Skip Non-Related Video and then press okay. This will take you directly to the moment motion was detected.
    Now I’m going to show you how to set up your H.264+
    From here you’re going to click the menu icon at the top. Select record, and then parameters.
    You’re going to want to check the box to enable H.264+ for Camera 01. H.264+ enables you to record more efficiently and preserve disc space. Then click apply, and then yes. This reboots the system.
    Click the Menu icon again. Click Maintenance, and then System info.
    Select Record at the top. Notice the bitrate difference for cameras A1 and A2 after enabling H.264+.
    Now, we are going to explore how to set your email alert.
    From here you’re going to once again select Menu, then Configuration, and then Network.
    Once you’re in configuration select email.
    In the top left you’ll see a box to Enable Server. Check it.
    In the top right box you’re going to type the SMTP Server IP address or host name.
    Then write your username in the username box, and then type in SMTP Port. No.
    After this, type in your password.
    On the right there is going to be a box that says Enable SSL. This sets up an encrypted connection. Check it.
    Next you’re going to want to type in a sender name and an email for sender’s address.
    Select a receiver, and then just like before, type in a receiver’s name and email address. Of course, these can be the same as those above.
    Make sure to check the box to enable picture attachments. Next you’re going to want to select a time interval for sending pictures.
    You can also test to see if everything is in order by sending a test email here.
    Next just click Apply, and then OK.
    After this you’re going to select Camera, and then in the drop down menu click Camera.
    Select Motion, and then find the gear icon. This is for Settings. Click it.
    Select Linkage Action, and then just check the box for Send Email to enable this function.
    Select Apply, then OK, and then Back and you’re good to go.
    Now let’s check out your email and look at the snapshots you received after motion was detected.
    And there you have it, hopefully now you understand how to set up your email alarms, H.264+, and smart search function. As for our other exciting features, such as our smart remote access and day and night vision, feel free to explore our website and learn more.

    Installed it myself without any issues. The wifi signal is great even ruclips.net/user/postUgkxE_D_sddGAdiVUKp7PkkmyxO7bRtgqmk5 when the router is located far away. I really enjoy the night vision feature that allows me to see clearly any activity near our house (mostly cars and wild animals). The motion detection is helpful to me as well to monitor what happens on our front.

      how do I transfer video files from the Hard drive or DVR to my computer? IS there a way to use the ethernet cord and then download it via internet to a website for storage?
      Or perhaps to the PC if I don't have a uSB drive?

      Could you please tell us model number of your system? It is made up of numbers and letter such as DN81NB. You can find it at the bottom of recorder. It is not SN like 20150611. Here is an example for your reference.

      Get Guard vision. Since you have it on your phone the set up is pretty simple. Find the anneke resource page and follow Step by step.. works well once you figure it our.

    The user NAME NOT just your user name. It is the complete email address and the password is password for that respective email account.

    I have the DN81RA (8 channel). How do I play back more than 2 channels synchronously? I have read that this is possible if I change the camera resolutions from 960H to D1, however, I am not sure that I know how to do this correctly. I have already tried Menu>Recording>Parameters and unselecting "enable 960" and changing each camera resolution (both continuous and event) to WD1 but it still doesn't allow playback of more than 2 channels at the same time. Any step by step help would be greatly appreciated.

    Do I need a dedicated monitor for this? This is something completely ignored in sales literature and the manuals. I don't have a monitor - I use a laptop. Is there a way to connect to my laptop to set system up? What about installing an app on my phone and directly accessing the setup menus. Also is there a way to copy the security videos from the dvr to compiter? Eg, I need to use video for a court case, etc. Thx.

    I have just completed my DN81R installation, I have the 6 camera system and I'm using my 73 " Mitsubishi TV however when I try to view the security system and switch to HDMI 2 there is no image it is a black screen. I have seen other posts with the same issue but there is no where with a solution can anyone help? I have tried the support phone line but they are not working in the afternoons? Make any sense to you?? Thanks, frustrated in Texas

      an example would be, if your email address is @gmail.com then the SMTP would most likely be. smtp@gmail.com port number is usually 25 but if this doesn’t work you need to check the website of your email provider.       1.Do you mean you can not see camera's image on monitor or TV? pls send a picture of your screen to us check, than you !
      if YES, can you see system's setting panel? which is very important.
      2.Do you notice if system gets power? if it gets power, the LED in front of DVR will be lit up.
      3.Did you hear a beep when system powers on. It is very important.
      4.Are you using HDMI port on DVR to connect DVR to a monitor or TV? if yes, could you please try VGA port on DVR?
      5. Make sure your TV is in right mode, HDMI mode for HDMI cable, VGA mode for VGA cable, not any other mode. You can the monitor remote control to switch it.
      6. Can you kindly change another power suppply to have a try? you can use the camera's instead.

    I connected the system (Model: DN81R) for the first time, but its asking me for a password. The manual doesn't assist with this. I'm stuck and can't set up the system. Is there a way to reset the system again, so that i cant set my password? Or, other suggestions?

      If you forget password and can not access system, please provide some information to us so that we can provide a super code to access system. Here is information we need.

      1.Please remember input super password on that day on the interface where you can see the long SN, not on the log in interface where you can see user name admin.
      2.We will give you code for several days like Security Code:q9SqeQqRRq Valid for:06/03/2017(day--month--year), which means if your monitor shows date 03-06-2017(June 3rd), input that code q9SqeQqRRq so that you can reset your system.

    does the DVR require HDD to view cameras on the monitor? because i cannot view any cameras on screen

      Without a hard drive , the DVR would only be capable of live viewing and live remote internet viewing; you would not be able to record footage or play back footage.
      Regarding hard drive, an internal SATA II and III 3.5” one would be compatible with our system.
      You can choose WD or Toshiba.

      An external hard drive that hooks up through USB would not record. The USB interface does not allow live recording

    Can anyone tell me if it is possible to view live video feed using cat5 cable connected directly to the DVR and a RJ45 to micro adaptor on the other end of the cat5 cable allowing a connection to a monitoring device? as I am considering on getting a Annke DVR and I wanted to use a old android phone instead of a computer monitor beside my bed to check the feed and not illuminating the whole bedroom at the same time.(because a computer monitor illuminating the room would Certainly infuriate the wife) especially around certain dates of each month!.

    Guys, I spend ages to see the camera remotely, trust me it won't work. No remote view on mobile app or through web browser.. its fake promise. I contacted the customer service mroe than 100 times and they responded silly answers and not yet solved. Better buy any other product if you want to view the camera remotely... waste of time and money. RUBBISH...
