The sadder fact, that they only discussed on jericho's podcast, was that Eddie had called chavo to talk about something. chavo said he could but after running a quick errand in the lobby , and when he came back to talk, Eddie decided not to after and said he was ok. So it seems that there was a point before they found Eddie that he sensed something might be wrong. Though I read/heard that the issue that took eddie's life would've killed him regardless, maybe at least they could've done something. Idk just a thought.

hearing about how dedicated Benoit is to the point he’d punish himself is something
I feel in a way, Eddie knew something was gonna happen and tried to turn Benoit over to God before that bad thing happened.
i never heard much about Eddie’s passing except “Died Of Heart Attack”. But him dying in Chavo’s arms?..damn...
I kept saying Eddie’s passing was the straw that broke the camel’s back leading to the tragedy
Had heard that Nancy’s threat of divorce was also a force that helped the bitter end
CTE is one of the biggest PHYSICAL factor that helped.
I mentioned once or twice that WWE never really helped. Not even their medical staff
its very heavenly to hear that Jericho helped reconnect members of the Benoit survivors.

Growing up in Edmonton when Benoit started to get big, he used to always try and find time to be a father to David, being a father was so important to him. The guy at the end was no longer Benoit, he was a broken and deformed shell in Benoit's body. Truly tragic all around, and I get this feeling that he did this to get closer to Eddie, then seeing how he wouldn’t be able to regretted it to the point that he rather take his own life

Have you forgotten Vince's idea of the storyline "EDDIE'S IN HELL" with Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton? VINCE exploited his death for one? A STORYLINE? Some shit angle?
I understand wiping Chris Benoit's involvement in WWE history. But Sandra, David.... They deserved BETTER. They lost their sister, their mother, their father, their brother. And Vince, basically pretended they didn't exist. Nancy was an amazing valet, like the polar opposite of Ms Elizabeth. She should remembered along with Daniel.

Chavo Guerrero likened Benoit's reaction to Eddie's passing to that of a spouse. I'm not saying Chris had romantic feelings for Eddie, but that Chris may have felt Eddie, not Nancy, was his soulmate. I mean he still had his two kids, his wife, more than enough reasons to live life, and instead he chose darkness. Tragic.

@Will G Yeah dude, the wrestling industry definitely is just a series of hitmen killing the workers. It's not just an inherently unsafe profession with a decades-old culture (that, thankfully, is shifting slowly) that aggravates the inherent problems it creates.

I feel for the two, it seems someone in the family (maybe his mom, Benoit's first wife) wanted to break ties, telling his aunt that David didn't want to speak to her, and telling David's aunt that she didn't want to speak to him, very heartwarming through all of this to see them reconnected.

That was my biggest take away from this; Chris Benoit is ALWAYS the focus when it should be the people directly affected by the tragedy: Nancy, Daniel, David and Sandra.
My heart goes out to David. It was an absolutely immeasurable tragedy and he came out on the other side a man of great character. That say’s a whole hell of a lot about him.

As if we needed further proof that Jericho is one of the 🐐 Not only as a worker, but as one of the best human beings in the business!!
On to the documentary, I knew pretty much all the details surrounding Benoit's behavior. Jericho wrote on one of his books about Benoit's self punishment when he missed that spin kick. He also mentioned his crazy intensity and how closed off he was around the other wrestlers. Always there to give advice, but very private otherwise. I
In the end I have to agree that Eddie's death was the last stroke that broke Benoit mentally and after that it was just a matter of time before his story ended in tragedy.

He's way taller than his dad though, he just doesn't have the decades plus of roids. Chris always looked weird to me, he had a muscular torso, tiny short arms. If you watch wcw days he was on the gas then but in WWE he really went heavy into it. How people couldn't tell he was on it was hilarious. Then John Cena acted like he never did it when questioned....he was at the beginning of his huge Babyface run when this went down.

They put those most emphasis on him losing Eddie but Eddie wasn’t the only person that died that Chris was close with. Johnny Grunge was the guy helping with Chris and Nancy’s problems and helped Chris cope with Eddie’s death but he passed a few months after Eddie’s death. Here’s some people that passed away that Chris knew, Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Black Cat Mar, Bad News Allen, Stu Hart, Bam Bam Bigelow, Big Boss Man, and many more. So many wrestlers were dying at a young age at the time.
