On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020 or even dogfighting in Battlefield 2042, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. At 12:24 it was an EF-111A Raven that got merged with an Iraqi Mirage F1. Both the EF-111A crew and the F-15C pilot were credited with the victory, however the EF-111 Raven crew were given the Distinguished Flying Cross for their role in the maneuvering kill.
Your point still stands GS, the real world is not fair.

I dunno, I kinda enjoy it. Sometimes I imagine that it's being flown by Lt. Col. Andrew Tanner and that he NEEDS to get shot down, because the Wolverines are down there and they need his help and his guidance! He describes himself as an "Eagle driver," but never specifies what version of F-15 he pilots. Considering he was shot down by the Russians, i expect it would have been a fighter model, rather than ground attack. Also, this was back in '84, so I'm not certain the "E" variants even existed then...

Really wanna see C model vs E model dogfight. It would be interesting to see how much the E model had to sacrifice for its ground attack capabilities.
A lot. F-15C is among the best dogfighters in DCS. Its control assist system isnt FBW, but its almost on the level of an F-16. Very good rate-fighter and still good slow speed and nose-authority. And its T/W is almost as good as the SE, so strong in the vertical as well.
Film a video, and I'll fly the c as the bandit✊🏾. I don't have the E yet lol
I'm pretty sure GS did a video on that, although it was BVR so not really a dogfight if I remember correctly. The F-15E did not do so well
to be fair, The C flight model in DCS is uhhhh "interesting" compared to the real eagle
@@Prodagist It's pretty much scored a 1:1 in first few rounds, before pulling ahead in the final round, IIRC. That count's as "doing pretty well," in my book, when you're going up against a relatively pure air superiority fighter.

People that think things are not fair have been saying that since they were toddlers and they still have that same mindset unfortunately but all is fair in love and war and in the real world thanks GS another great show of capabilities.

GS, real skill you go here. 11:10, when you said that if a player plays the strike eagle against the Mig-29, I think you should try that gameplay in attempt to differ the energy management between these two gets in a BVR + dogfight environment. This is my 2nd-3rd mention about it. That scenario you mentioned about it is related in the Korean Air Force movie. I bet you should try it. Keep the content great!
all I ask for \in any given engagement, is a clear advantage over my opponent... When this is unavailable, then we practice the Kobayashi-Maru scenario...
Boeing should have made F-15CX as well as the F-15EX for dogfights just in case. The F-15EX might carry more missiles for BVR air to air but that's just about it.
Did you know "Baz" means falcon, and I would know as I am Israeli and my dad's uncle was a fighter pilot that flew the F-16 "Netz 107" in the Israeli air force.
They said the exact opposite about the aggressor f-15s being stripped down variances, basically hot rods.
Aggressor F-15 are often the air superiority version of the F-15 and not the BOMB TRUCK F-15E version

Questions is would it still beat a mig 25? Because that was after all the intention behind the alpha variant of the f 15 and now that it is basically a missile truck it would maybe be on par with a mig 25 / or maybe a little better still perhaps

You need to fly the F-15C which is the fighter version. The E is a bomb sled. And if you wanna dogfight, instead of all of these fox3 & defend fights, go back to WWII where you really had to FLY to win.

I believe the scenario you are remembering is when an EF-111 merged with an Iraqi Mirage F-1 at night. Eventually, an F-15 got a lock on the F-1, leading to the Iraqi pilot losing awareness of his surroundings and crashed into the ground.

You've got your facts mixed up. You're combining two incidents into one.
1) Jan 17, 1991 a Spark Vark was engaged by a Mirage F1 and the Pilot lit his blowers and went low. The Mirage F1 tried to pursue, but at night, the Mirage pilot was not able to avoid terrain as well as the F-111. The Spark Driver was credited with an aerial victory.
2) Feb 13, 1991, two F-15's witnessed an EF-111 maneuvering hard as if trying to evade a nearby enemy and, sadly, it crashed into the ground. The Eagle drivers claimed there was no enemy nearby.

@@brianwright9514I read that the second incident happened when an F-15 accidentally locked up the Raven. That’s why it was taking evasive action.
12:25 It was an EF-111 vs a Mirage F-1. The EF-111 Raven ("Sparkvark" because it's based on the F-111 Aardvark) is a pure electronic warfare aircraft, it has no weapons on board. The Mirage went to the deck with the Raven at night, and when an F-15C arrived and locked him up, he momentarily lost situational awareness and flew into the ground.
I think some folks are just getting the f-15c and f-15e confused. 15c is a solid dogfighter that was designed for air-superiority, while 15e is effectively a mini-bomber that can defend itself to an extent, but wasn't made specifically for air-to-air combat.

I think "Cold" means facing away from your bandit, when going cold you are running away from your bandit.
Have you ever considered what kind of a handicap is imposed upon a tomcat when manual sweep is locked to full (simulate a sweep malfunction)? Would it make a fight versus a strike eagle more fair?
Or perhaps you'd take an aircraft with superior manoeuvrability to the strike eagle (shouldn't be hard to find one), and handicap it with undroppable drop tanks. Might be a good way to show the difference between an F-15C with drop tanks versus an F-15E with conformal tanks

6:23 you can actually see how close he was to death: there's 2 rounds on the cockpit, one that ended just behind his seat and one that landed either just besides or on the WSO, but it looks like the later, given his head looks kinda inclined, kind of like he was dead (but even if he wasn't, that's definetely gonna hurt for a while)

GS, you should do 3 rounds of F15C vs F16, then 3 round of F15E vs F16 to show the difference in dogfight capability between the F15 variants. Maybe then peope will see that the F15E needs to avoid a merge.
Basically the F15’s die 6 times. It might take the F16 longer to kill the ‘C’ model post merge but it will kill it (assuming guns only), pit 9x’s in the mix and you start to equal it up a bit

There is too many lies too much deception and not enough evidence to do any kind of actual research into what happened. The only thing that is certain is that an Indian mig21 was shot down by Pakistan and the pilot was captured. That’s it, other than that there is way to much bullshit for me to want to sort through. Even if I did I wouldn’t be able to confirm anything so what’s the point.

The way I've heard the F-15E in dogfights is that it's not an air-superiority fighter that was given bombing capability, it's a low-capacity bomber that can defend itself. The F-15E is an entirely different plane that just happens to share some parts and an overall shape to the F-15C.
