Wow! I’m shocked! We find what we are looking for. You and I have been to different countries named Vietnam. Been hospitalized multiple times and care is better than US. Pharmacies have saved my life. Food is amazing. Fresher and healthier than US. No stress life compared to US. I could go on. The West is definitely for you. I love Vietnam and SE Asia and I will live longer, happier and healthier than in US. Good luck to you
Im living in Canada , the area where i am living has a lot of rubbish around . Pollution is around the world not just VN , in the more crowded cities you will experience more problems : homelessness , rubbish in many area , pollution ... Stay in area reserved for tourism because these areas relatively well kept and you can find as many "good food" and services if you dont want to see the dirtiest parts of the world .
I agree - with most. But the FOOD? Man, how many % of us are body builders? V. food is fantastic / delicious. Yes, it is more healthy than western food and obesity is a hell of a lot lower than in our countries. What a blessing! You don't like Asian food or don't see the health value, never come here.
I could give many reasons, but here is my top 3, 1) the people, i don't find the people anywhere near as friendly as other SEA countries. 2) Noise, the constant horn beaping just drives me nuts. 3) Lack of English, for a short trip you can manage but if your there long time it's get tiring.
Bodybuilders in Vietnam cook their own meals instead of dining out. Vietnamese people mainly consume pork, eggs, chicken, seafood and fish and beef isn’t that common. Cows that are cultured in Vietnam are yellow not the ones you see in Australia. You can easily find Aussie or American steak in the frozen meat sections at local supermarkets. I cooked Vietnamese dishes myself during years in the USA and why can’t you? Street food vendors here indeed have poor hygiene standards so many locals select the restaurants carefully or cook at home. It’s not easy to get a long with the life in Vietnam but if you get out the comfort zone, you’ll find more positive things. I always hear that Vietnamese aren’t as friendly as other Southeast Asians because we’re culturally similar to the Chinese and East Asian vibes.
Man, you’re absolutely right. After living in Bali for a month, I honestly think it has the same issues. It’s a third-world country with overpopulation, noise pollution, crazy traffic congestion, and environmental pollution. Hygiene standards are practically nonexistent. It’s especially tough for bodybuilders or athletes who are used to maintaining a good diet and body composition. Finding quality products here is both expensive and almost impossible. people often have an Instagram perception of things. For a one-week vacation, any place in the world is fine because you’re just an observer. But when it comes to living somewhere, factors like food quality, air quality, noise pollution, and the overall environment really make all the difference.
In Vietnam's rural areas and many other places, the government doesn't have trash collectors, and there are no trash pins in many public places, so people throw trash on the street, They just opened a brand new Metro station in Saigon city, but there is not trash pin around the metro station.
it is not about trash bin. if you travel in Japan, you would notice that there is no trash bin on the street. It is about people. Next Vietnamese generation may be better. They are more aware about clean environment. I iive in San Jose, CA. have you been in SF? on 4th street. Homeless people poop, pee, on drugs, trashes very where....there is a lot of room for improvement. Eventually, Vietnam will get there. If you travel to Vietnam for few weeks, you would enjoy it. if you plan to stay there permanently, you have to do research.
Truthfully presented vlog.....👍👍👍 I did 10 years in Vietnam working and there were many great things about it , however noise, Air and rubbish pollution in Vietnam is real and in your face....noise is the worst and over the years does your nut in and eventuallygot to me. I laugh about the floggers aka vloggers trying to sell Vietnam as a perfect place for a cheap digital nomad type work experience .......Its Okay to a point but far from great and comes with many problems listed in this Vlog.
Where did you live?? There's amazing bread and the milk is fine and cheese is everywhere. It's funny I hate Australian beef and actually like Vietnamese beef. You must have lived in Saigon, and Vietnam is actually a second world country. The health care is topnotch
Hundred percent bro I’ve been living in Thailand for 10 to 12 years and the thing I look forward to apart from visiting family back in the UK is the food selection the supermarket the bread the cheese the butter everything like that just the quality of those ingredients also supplements things like that everything is so expensive normally in Southeast Asia they they have a closed economy in terms of their import in like for example monster energy drinks or pre-workout or protein or creatine. It’s always a premium.
But Monster Energy is definitely an extreme example for Thailand. Thailand is the country where Red Bull was invented. Go to a 7-Eleven, and you’ll find dozens of energy drinks but no Monster. Then, if you fly to the Philippines, you’ll see Monster sitting in the fridge. I’m not so fixated on a single brand. If I want to drink energy drinks, Thailand offers a huge variety. Since flights to Europe are usually more expensive than dairy products in Asia, I’d rather save the costly flight and spend that money on expensive butter instead. Although, it’s not as expensive anymore. Currently, there’s a butter crisis in some European countries. Cows are producing less milk, and the milk has a lower fat content, causing butter prices to rise. Right now, you might pay €4 for 250g of Kerrygold back home. For that price, I can also get it in Thailand. Before the war in Ukraine, Kerrygold cost €2 for 250g. And now, because of Christmas and everyone wanting to bake, demand has skyrocketed, and prices have risen even higher-or butter is even limited in many stores in Germany. Friends told me they weren’t allowed to buy more than 3 packs of 250g butter because the cashier wouldn’t let them. Crazy.

The solution is on another level... the scooters alone is pure cancer from every tailpipe.

Yea man it’s a pretty tough place to live, but can be great for a short holiday.
Fair enough.
Vietnam is chaotic. That vibe comes from deep inside the people soul, pouring out over every corner of the social life.
You can see the chaos when the people have the chance to speak their mind on the Internet. Ill-mannered, name calling, insults.
Nice honest video
